We've just started watching this, way after everybody else. But isn't it great? Last night was the one in series 2 with the ATM.
What are other poster's favourites?

OP posts:
mondaytosunday · 27/02/2026 13:08

It’s one if my favourite shows of all time. I disagree with watching a better call Saul first - I think knowing where he goes makes it more interesting.
Osark (as mentioned)
Money Heist (Spanish, and I recommend you watch it in Spanish). The prequel isn’t worth it though.
Squid Game
Goliath
Designated Survivor
Man in the High Castle
Tin Star
Yellowstone and prequels

The Spin Off Better Call Saul is just as good.

Another series, in a similar sort of vein is Ozark. Ozark has some amazing female roles, I loved it.

Oh yes, loved Ruth

I would say watch better call Saul first and then breaking bad!

This is terrible advice!
BCS is a prequel but it was written after BB.
BB first then BCS
They are both amazing series.
BCS is a bit slow to begin with and difficult to get into and series 5 is not great, but still one of my favourite shows of all time.

If you like the above, you'll probably like The Americans on Disney too.
Enjoy!

Don't give up Oneleggedonne. We did the same. I think it takes time to get into - at least 3 episodes.

I agree it takes a few episodes to get into it

Henry8thHoover · 27/02/2026 15:13

I think I’ve watched BB 12-14 times. It does take a little while to get into but it’s so worth it.
Top class acting, amazing storyline. Beautifully shot.

El Camino ties things up well.

BCS I also loved and have watched it numerous times. It’s a different vibe but excellent.

I wish I could wipe my memory of all three and watch again anew.

Aposterhasnoname · 27/02/2026 15:41

"You're the smartest guy I ever met, and you're too stupid to see he made up his mind ten minutes ago." Actually this bit might be my favorite, don't want to say anymore though as I don't want to give any spoilers.

And speaking of spoilers, do not watch better call Saul before breaking bad whatever you do!

paulhollywoodshairgel · 27/02/2026 16:13

The episode ‘Ozymandias’ is a tv masterpiece. In my opinion anyway!!

Matsukaze · 27/02/2026 17:21

Pizza on the roof 🤌

Leedsfan247 · 27/02/2026 18:02

Once you’ve finished it watch Better Call Saul (back story of Saul Goodman) it’s brilliant

bestcatlife · 27/02/2026 18:11

Just recommending Plur1bus on Apple TV for BB / BCS fans - it’s by the same writer. It’s only short but there is a series 2 this year (I think!) it’s as good as Breaking bad/Saul…

It's Kim! I've put that on the list for when I switch to Apple TV. Thanks 😀

PuppyMonkey · 27/02/2026 18:21

OP you’re asking for favourite episodes of BB when you’re only on Season 2? Spoilers?!!

Onefortheroad25 · 27/02/2026 18:26

One of my favourites! Will watch it again sometime. I love Hank & Marie.

Oneleggedone · 26/02/2026 13:56

I've tried three or four times to get into this but can't get past the first couple of episodes. May have to try again

Same. I watched it when it first came out as a friend was into it but I just couldn’t get into it.

Invisablepanic · 27/02/2026 18:34

Tried to get into it a few times over the years but couldn't. Watched it through finally and tbh I didn't think it 'got good' until the last half of the final season. The acting is all brilliant, writing is good, characters interesting though.

I should have liked it, love The Sopranos, The Wire and The Shield so it's a similar type.

BCS I've also watched and again, I personally don't get the hype.

That still gets me 🤐

Yes the Ruth character is fantastic. I also liked the deranged character Darlene.

bilbodog · 27/02/2026 12:55

I cant remember which series of breaking bad it was but the whole episode about the fly …….

Wasn’t that because of the writers strike?

EmilyintheUK · 27/02/2026 20:58

Better Call Saul is a bit of a slow burner but equally as good as you get into it.

The Sopranos - didn’t know what to do with myself when I finished that.

FlyHighLikeABird · 27/02/2026 21:12

I absolutely love Breaking Bad, have seen it three times all the way through and half watched a fourth time. I love that it bears repeat viewing, first time around I had much more sympathy for Walt, I think I was blinded by the 'dying from cancer' thing, second time around I couldn't believe what I didn't see the first time.

I won't say more, but I loved it. I have watched Better Call Saul but I just didn't love it as much.

I haven't seen Ozark, so I might go back and watch that.

Fraudornot · 27/02/2026 21:29

Another one who couldn’t get into it after a few episodes but feel Im missing something - should I give it another go

MrsCarmelaSoprano · 27/02/2026 21:33

Rest of the family loved BCS but I really didn't get into it, I might give it another go.

Slightyamusedandsilly · 27/02/2026 21:33

I've watched the whole thing twice. Also Better Call Saul, which actually, I think is even better.

CluckerHam · 27/02/2026 21:37

Omg The Wire was amazing… took multiple attempts to get into it mind you, but once someone suggested watching with subtitles to help understand the Baltimore accents it was fantastic!

Now that's a good idea as that's why I struggled with it and didn't get very far with it. Dh and ds LOVED it.
