It was ‘not liver’ , with fava borlotti beans

And pomegranate wine.

littlbrowndog · 17/03/2026 19:29

Aw gawd running in late.

and it’s Tommy banks ♥️

EsmaCannonball · 17/03/2026 19:30

'Melt into your shoes.'

Is he going to do the Wicked Witch of the West next?

littlbrowndog · 17/03/2026 19:31

Andi in her jammies

EsmaCannonball · 17/03/2026 19:32

Bit of a shave and brush up and Dan could have a go at dressing up as Flash Gordon. Let's pretend Brian Blessed comes from Wales.

littlbrowndog · 17/03/2026 19:33

Oh he could 🤣

EsmaCannonball · 17/03/2026 19:33

'80s Hotel Freak-Out' actually sounds like a low-budget horror film.

Ah , ok. Not sure I’d want to eat it though!

Sunbird24 · 17/03/2026 19:36

Ooh, I remember the Black Cauldron

EsmaCannonball · 17/03/2026 19:37

They should just do a Harry Potter banquet at this point. Every bleedin' week!

littlbrowndog · 17/03/2026 19:38

These links to the brief. Not clear at all

Fransgran · 17/03/2026 19:38

I was hoping for some Welsh accents. Very disappointed. I have distant cousins for whom Welsh is a first language. When they visited as children, they'd stand in front of the sideboard and sing for delighted relatives. As children, my sister and I thought they were fairly drenched in glamour.

Cookingdoesntgettougher · 17/03/2026 19:39

At least these chefs are trying to make things a bit cinematic. Having to dig far to find links, definitely harder than books, sport or art from previous years.

True

littlbrowndog · 17/03/2026 19:40

That trout is massive

EsmaCannonball · 17/03/2026 19:41

I think they should have been tougher on making the chefs do specifically iconic, classic or cult British films but shouldn't have imposed the regional aspect on them, as that is really limiting.

lettingthedaysgoby · 17/03/2026 19:44

Corin seems to still be an arse...

EsmaCannonball · 17/03/2026 19:44

'There's been an elderflower and ketchup explosion.'

Where's Harry Hill and his TV Highlight of the Week when you need him?

littlbrowndog · 17/03/2026 19:45

We need a big fish pie

lettingthedaysgoby · 17/03/2026 19:46

I'd certainly want a bigger portion than that!

littlbrowndog · 17/03/2026 19:46

Where’s the fish ?

littlbrowndog · 17/03/2026 19:47

That’s a canapé

EsmaCannonball · 17/03/2026 19:47

The cardboard tube is fun but in previous series some chef would have reproduced actual lasers.

EsmaCannonball · 17/03/2026 19:49

In the year they did children's literature there was a fish dish based around witches and cauldrons which won the banquet and it had far more drama and witchiness than this.

Fransgran · 17/03/2026 19:49

There's not been much so far that made me think I'd really love to eat that
