I assumed they wore flesh coloured tights? Maybe they don't now.

So pleased for that lovely Japanese couple.
She was so kind and supportive to him yesterday..it showed they have a very special relationship .

I was moaning to my self every time I put the TV on and saw that it was the ice hockey.

But at least with the ice hockey I managed a bit of an ohh ...ahhh...ohhh...I bet that hurt ... excited feeling !

i also think the bbc were thinking team GB would be doing better in the curling than they are. And its all getting a bit tedious

I don’t know. Curling seems to be one of those sports that captures everyone’s hearts every 4 years. People seem to love it.

I can’t stand curling , to me it slots into the same hole as darts , bowls , snooker and formula 1 - dull .

I don't know what hole I am in them as I like darts , enjoy F1 and can end up engrossed with snooker !! 😁🤣.

I think it is the sweeping that get me down .
All the time I am watching it ..I am reminded of all the house work I should be doing !

i do like t he curling, it is like snooker, strategic , but can be a bit long and disappointing

and the hockey is too fast, hard to even see what is happening

Can I just say... curling is an old sport. It's not like some Scots came along, saw Francis Drake bowling and thought 'What great things the English do but it's a wee bit chilly up here so we'll do it on ice'. I'm sure it's not intentional but I have seen a lot of non Scots looking down a bit on curling on MN recently.

The round robin system with Curling is too long. It will be the same with the football world cup this year.

It becomes interesting at the semi finals.

For excitement, watch the short track speedskating.

DH is Scottish. He thinks curling is extremely boring. He also hates Scottish dancing, haggis, Irn Bru and Balmoral.
Nobody's looking down on it; it just not to everyone's taste, Scottish or English.

My husband is also Scottish. He loves a bit of haggis but also finds curling exceptionally dull.

Don't object to the boring comments at all. It's the 'oh, it's bowling on ice' type comments.

Agree on the ice hockey. Totally different to watch in the flesh.

Oh, I love it, and I tend to watch it on TNT (where they don't stop coverage mid match) , where they do emphasise that for most of the time the competitors in 'our' team, compete for Scotland.
I think it's fascinating to watch, and I really like the way the teams interact.

Watching the Norwegians, I liked the nods to Thomas Ulsrud- who was part of the team who wore the famous patterned trousers. Same age as me, sadly, died of cancer a few years back. The 'Valentine's day' pants with the hearts on were a great moment.
