Only just started to engage with the Olympics - great but all the BBC highlights on Iplayer give the result away. What the heck?!

I don't think there should be points for style, just who goes the furthest. They don't have style points in the summer long jump.

I love Ed & Tim being renamed as Bill & Ted it’s so appropriate. I can just hear the “Excellent”.

There were lots of complaints about Bill & Ted’s commentary when Jenny Jones won a Bronze in 2014. They have managed to tone it down but I like the fact they are genuinely enjoying the sports they commentate on. They appreciate the skill of the competitors irrespective of Country.

I’m surprised they’re sober to be honest!

Judging by their families I thought they would well be on their way with the Grappa.

Style points are to stop it getting dangerous - you have to show that you have a level of control rather than just flinging yourself off

Even with style requirements it can be very, very dangerous - have seen several competitions in the past where jumpers have landed head first.

I’m just thinking in terms of an athlete career isn’t that long. And the bbc are always wanting pundits and commentators who are knowledgeable and having a gold medal as a bit of kudos. But you also have to have something about you. Of course you can do the Eve Muirhead route and be head of logistics for team fb or whatever.

Agree, she is such a professional and really brings the sport to life with her excellent insight.

We had family over for DC's birthday.
I made everyone eat really quick at the restaurant and then two games of bowling double quick to get back home in time for the team skeleton!
