Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

I know it’s only a soap. But after reading some stuff about the lovely Sarah Everard on the 5th anniversary of her passing yesterday I found last night’s scenes with Max and Tim pretty grim.

Southeastdweller · 04/03/2026 09:08

I didn’t like those scenes either and was slightly shocked today when Linda asked Max yesterday if Tim cried, like she hoped he would do. I hope the Tim character returns to cause more trouble and piss people off.

😳😳 - offering myself support tbh 💐.

Shellingbynight · 04/03/2026 09:34

The storylines are so weird nowadays I have no idea if that is the end of Tim, but I hope so (but doubt it). It was a very unpleasant storyline. I'd quite like never to see Johnny again either.

Max is a very low effort kind of guy. Driving Tim to an alleyway and stuffing him in a boot and threatening him - low effort. I doubt he'd kill anyone as it would be way too much bother, he'd have to dispose of the body.

the80sweregreat · 04/03/2026 10:05

The storylines are strange arn’t they.
All over the place.
Plus many people are still missing or not seen as much lately.

thisoldcity · 04/03/2026 11:16

I always think, surely it can't be that easy to stuff someone who is fully conscious into a boot? Tim is younger than Max as well, but just sort of folded up neatly with a few shoves!

Shellingbynight · 04/03/2026 11:49

Yes that crossed my mind too @thisoldcity

I can imagine someone of Mark's physique and age stuffing someone in a boot (and he's probably had practice). But Max is 55 and does nothing but slouch around puffing cigs, not exactly in peak physical condition.

Eastie77Returns · 04/03/2026 12:39

What I found unbelievable with Linda was a couple episodes back when she arguing with Johnny and Elaine and insisting Johnny was not a victim. Elaine pointed out he was effectively coerced into sex with Tim and I thought Linda was uncharacteristically dismissive and mean spirited in saying well he chose to do it so tough, especially as he was so distressed. I doubt she would have been so blasé if he was a woman in the same situation.

I agree that was so out of character, she was raped herself, I don’t think she’d be dismissive but they do this with characters all the time

mumofoneAloneandwell · 04/03/2026 14:48

I still can't get over Kathy shovelling Cindy - completely out of character - during that documentary where it was revealed, Gillian looked surprised herself

HighburyHope · 04/03/2026 14:52

I really wish Tim hadn’t been in it at all. Was there a reason why Johnny couldn’t have got a bank loan like normal business professionals do?

Shellingbynight · 04/03/2026 15:20

Linda has been behaving very out of character for the whole storyline - she suddenly has a huge distrust of Callum.

I did think she was probably thinking back to Dean raping her, which was an entirely different scenario. She had absolutely no choice. Johnny did.

@HighburyHope a business loan was never mentioned was it, far too simple!

I agree. Totally unnecessary and not a character that will even stay by the looks of things 🙄

the80sweregreat · 04/03/2026 17:29

Linda wasn’t happy at first when Johnny came out as gay. Also , she discovered that her late dad ( who she was closer to than E laine ) was also bi sexual and had an affair with Drew Peacock.
This may be behind her recent out of character response to what has gone on?
Although she accepted he was gay, it still may cloud her judgement a bit. I know people who would have cut him out of their lives tbh! Not everyone is accepting of people’s sexuality and it’s surprising how many people struggle with it.

Shellingbynight · 04/03/2026 17:41

Oh yes you're right, it was Mick who was most understanding and sympathetic to Johnny when he came out. She hasn't seemed to have an opinion on it lately but then again he hasn't had a partner until Callum.

SnowFrogJelly · 04/03/2026 00:37

Agree.. I got to the end of the ep and thought why are they blaming it all on Linda!

For storyline purpose to push Max and Linda together.

I didn't understand Mark telling Ravi that he turned to a life of crime because it was he knew growing up due to coming from a family of criminals. I thought he grew up with Michelle in the US (even though he inexplicably has an East London) and hasn't had anything to do with the Mitchells as he didn't know Grant was his dad. I don't know how he has turned into such a wrong'un under those circumstances.

I agree. I think it was all a ruse and part of his act - to try to smoke out the grass, which he managed to do.

Starandflowers · 04/03/2026 22:00

So if Dawn Steele is MySon’s mum, I take it him and Jasmine didn’t grow up together since we have met her mum previously (who you would have thought would have turned up again when her daughter was arrested for murder 🤷‍♀️)

Did we know that they were brought up in different families?

2026firstnamechange · 04/03/2026 23:03

Is it possible the "mum" that Cindy and Lauren met, wasn't actually Jasmine's mum at all? It's very confusing, and I'm sure the explanation/plot they come up with will be as clear as mud. That seems to be how all the plots/storylines have been over the last year.
I can't warm to Mark, nothing about him makes sense, it's like he has always lived in London/UK but we know that's not true. When did he come to the UK? How long has he been in his line of work? Because he seems quite trusted, so he certainly isn't new to his employers. I did see online speculation that Grant is his boss, but that would be far fetched as I didn't think he was in contact with Grant. Although Grant does need to fund his life abroad, perhaps they have been in contact since Mark's last appearance, but then didn't Grant try to get Mark's contact details from Sharon when he reappeared last year? Oh I can't make any of it make any sense. I wish they would write tighter plots. It just appears like the storylines are written around staff absence rotas, whereas the absence should be planned around the storylines.

storminabuttercup · 05/03/2026 05:49

I think we did know they’d been split up didn’t we? Or I feel like I did, presumably they got to 18 and found each other and jasmine started looking for Zoe? I guess it kind of explains the weird message ‘hi jasmine it’s myson, your brother’ if they are only recently in contact ?

Eastie77Returns · 05/03/2026 06:49

The “mum” seemed very nervous when she met Lauren and Cindy, who both seem to have completely forgotten she exists. I did wonder if she was fake because it’s ridiculous that she hasn’t shown up since Jasmine was arrested for murder. It also didn’t occur to Kat to contact her when she was desperately looking for Jasmine. In fact none of the Slaters or Truemans asked Jasmine a single question about her adoptive family, where she grew up etc. You’d think they’d be curious.

Why did the adoptive mum end up with one twin and not the other as usually SS would have insisted on them being adopted as a pair.

Make it make sense!

Also, what does Vicki think he does for a living? He spends his days sitting in the cafe or in Phil’s house (who seems to have just accepted Mark lives with him) but she doesn’t question what he does for money. He was supposed to be living with Michelle and looking after her when Martin died. That was the arrangement so that Vicki could stay in the square. So yes, how long has he been in London??

Shellingbynight · 05/03/2026 08:19

Jasmine has made it clear she and Josh had some kind of rift but I thought it was when they were teens (and probably because she’s such a PITA!). It would be unusual for twins not to be adopted together. The plot is already complicated enough without making it even more confusing.

I agree it is daft Kat did not ask about her adoptive family. Not that Jasmine would have told her. That ‘mum’ did seem fairly glad to be rid of her though.

Yes Mark was supposed to be looking after Michelle which is why Vicki turned up in the square. He lived abroad most of his life I think, he was definitely with Michelle in Aus and Florida last year, so how he is so familiar with London and why is he Grant 2 when they barely know each other.
