Cokers must run itself , I think Billy puts in a guest appearance otherwise these bodies must cremate themselves !

I wonder who runs the wardrobe on EE? Do they have a someone overseeing them being made ? Sent out to source the less outrageous clothes . A buyer of materials ?

Last major death was Martin wasn’t it ? We didn’t see anything of Antnee’s funeral , maybe his was a Coker DIY funeral! Lol

I remember the viewing of the body , when Jasmin muttered to Antnee that she had the evidence on her phone , and the Wake in the Vic where she came back , but come to think of it , I don't remember a funeral either !

The Cokers must've made a good enough income ( I was going to say made a living but that didn't seem appropriate ) to run the parlour , the cars , bring in those lovely horses and employ several members of staff . - Billy, Paul their grandson) Jay , Stuart and I think Rainie over the years . I think Callum did a stint there .
Vinny would definitely do well in the funeral business , he has an eye for detail and can be charming .

They'd have brought in customers from across the East End .

It seems to be forgotten now , still see a glimpse of the window and the name above it occasionally .

I've been enjoying the hair and clothes talk, the characters are styled well in that you would know who most of them are just from looking at their wardrobe!

Speaking of which, do Callum and Johnny not own anything which isn't a suit? Johnny put his suit and tie back on after his shower despite it being evening and time to relax!

@Shellingbynight I noticed that too. All the high heels and boots on while relaxing on the sofa. Does no-one just take their bra off and put joggers on.

Agree. When he was coming out the shop with the cleaning products 😂.

@Alucard yes! At the Branning lunch, Denise was wearing what looked like a pair of Ugg boots. Comfy, but quite warm for indoors. Nicola is often wearing high heels indoors but I suppose that isn't a surprise as she dresses like she's on the Apprentice!

Mental breakdown with their child watching and trying to help
How far would you go to protect someone you love - have unwanted sex?

Would Lexi and Clare have permission to discharge Nigel from hospital?

He cannot give consent due to his dementia.
Clare isn't his next of Kin, Julie is .
Is Clare going to say "I'm his step daughter . Just sign the forms will you"

The Nursing Staff and Doctors who have been looking after him since he nearly drowned aren't going to think "Oh maybe we should run this past Julie , his wife . Or Phil who practically lives here "

@70isaLimitNotaTarget you're right, of course they would not be able to take Nigel out of hospital.

It also irritates me that they keep having 'parties' in his honour - the one with the film, then the wedding ceremony, now this. The last two ended in disaster for good reason - dementia and parties do not go together. He's been seriously ill in hospital for weeks and will have deteriorated considerably yet they are having a party FFS!

A hospital stay for a dementia patient is the worst thing ever. They always come out far worse cognitively than they went in. It’s very depressing to experience. Should be kept out of hospitals unless an accident occurs

Maybe Nigel had a rare moment of lucidity and Clare felt bad about how much time she had lost with him.?
Lexi is just Lexi though (Tim is right , she's a spoiled brat ) . The adults in her life always simper and smile round her , her worst behaviour was never challanged , her spoiled princess behaviour never shut down.
When you consider Billy and Phil had the strictest upbringing , Phil saw how Sam turned out being the Golden Child , why would they let Lexi behave like this ? This was before Lola was ill , but she's not the only child in the Square who lost a parent - Mac and Mia , Pearl and Mica, Bailey , Ollie , Courtney , AJ , Arthur (twice -he lost Kush and Martin) Hope , Lily

Is the Max-in-a-Taxi storyline going to see Tim in Epping Forest .
Absolutely ridiculous storyline though. Johnny whinges to Linda , Linda whinges to Elaine then goes to Sausages WorkPlace . Then she gets Max. involved
Max doesn't think "Let 'im sort it , 'e's a grown man ain;t he?"
No "I'm gonna kidnap the little scrote and teach 'im summat"
Maybe video it for good measure ?

For Nigel , it did occur , he was going to have a bath but ended up near drowning .

Dementia and a mobile person is a difficult combination to manage . My Mum had many falls . She would go to the toilet , get ready for bed and want to go again. She'd forgotten she'd been. The bathroom is the worst place to fall (kitchen too but she never went there )
Immobile she was a risk but the management now included pressure sore prevention.

I think they are doing this storyline justice but we know there will be a sad inevitable outcome .

Will Jack&Jack have a word with Denzil about the AI Antnee?
Denice had a breakdown after Ken's death when she kept "seeing" him.
She blamed herself as she was part of The Six and she hit Nish with the wine bottle IIRC.
Then the necklace which she was convinced was buried with him and she had to dig him up .

Yolande really needs to pinch his phone a delete the app .
She wouldn't allow Patrick to go to a Spiritualist Medium , so she wouldn't be in favour with this new fangled way of the dearly departed messing with his head . Though Patrick does feel guilty for what he said to Antnee at their last meeting

I agree they have got it about 80% right with Nigel. They will shuffle him off into obscurity before we have to witness 2+ years of immobility, incontinence, inability to feed himself, they never really show what it's like but they haven't done a bad job. And Paul Bradley has been brilliant.

70s I hadn't thought of that connection with Denise and Ken, AI Antnee is verging a bit on 'psychosis' isn't it, mixed with a bit of visiting a spiritualist medium.

Ken’s finest piece of acting was his ghost !

Finally caught up on all episodes and wish I hadn’t bothered.

Won’t Mark be suspicious again now that super cop Jack has managed to get Ravi off any charges for the pharmacy ‘siege’?

Evil Tim/Callum/Johnny SL is a load of trash but Tim had two wonderful lines in a scene with Johnny “For a lawyer you’re not very bright” and “That brat is only going to get worse” Both 100% correct!

Loved the chat about the characters clothes. Chelsea’s outfits are my favourite. Even at the Branning family dinner she was hungover and sick but she still looked incredible - perfectly groomed hair and makeup!

I’m in a minority but I’m enjoying EE at the moment as I like most of the stories especially Patrick’s dependency on AI Anthony. Tim is credibly bitchy with his comments, that’s quite entertaining. I liked his put downs today to Saint Linda but the story would be better if Johnny was hotter.

Elaine was particularly insufferable in today’s episode.

Ok I’m also obviously in a minority as I do think Johnny is good looking! Maybe not hot as such but definitely preferable to Calum who just looks gormless all the time.

I would not turn down Mark, Ravi, Johnny or Vinny.

I think both Callum and Johnny spend a lot of time looking gormless and neither is hot 😆 Johnny isn't much of an actor either. I always thought he was poorly cast.

I agree Johnny is a poor actor. Not quite the depths of Jasmine poor, but definitely not a good casting decision. I can’t remember old head Johnny so don’t know if he was better or worse.

There were two old head Johnnys and the second one was even worse than the current Johnny. The first one was by far the best - what a shame he didn't stay.
