Opening ceremony tonight, from 6.30pm on BBC2. Surprised it’s not on BBC1.

Guess they’ve got other things on their mind at the moment.

Scooter Sled? Spikes on the pushers boots to get a grip. You could have Pair Scooter Sled , one pusher on either side. It would be too fast for me though, I think I’ll stick to Slide Sledding.

I've just tuned in--I was going to ask if someone could explain the geography to me? The team comes into what looks like a stadium through a big gold ring, but then is suddenly in a village...Is the ring a Stargate? Then I figured out they were in different locations. But what is the big swirl meant to represent? Is it like the yellow brick road? Also, yay Estonia dancing!

The Finnish contingent is pretty huge! I feel like the entire nation of Finland is genetically programmed to be great at sport! They have three f1 champions in 75 years for a country that is so clearly heavily invested in winter sport!

I loved Denmark when I went there last year.
