Well, we soared through the last thread again, so here's a shiny new one!

Corrie is pretty much based around the tragic death of Billy at the moment. Bernie is starting to lose the plot a bit, and ended up in a hotel room with a strange man who is the husband of someone Roy has been chatting to. (It's all a bit confusing!!!) Then she ended up unconcious in the ladies toilets!

Todd and Theo are still together - annoyingly - and Carl (Debbie's brother) has just heard Theo blabbing to Billy in his coffin how he's not a murderer, and he should have saved him, and so on. A guilty conscience, or self pity? (I'm guessing the latter.) Carl was listening (conveniently!) and smirked when he heard Theo 'confessing,' but I'm not sure what he's going to do with the information. Especially as shortly after, Theo saw Carl doing some dodgy dealing with some blokes, and he photographed him. So, they now have 'something' on each other!

Not much happening with the Driscolls at the moment, and Ma Driscoll and Eva have called a truce. But for how long???

Shona and David's new little baby (Harper) is still a bit fragile.

Shiny faced Megan Trainer the Siren who has men (and boys) eating out of her hand, is showing an unpleasant, dark side, after practically threatening Sam (Nick's son) if he blabs anything about her and Will.

And Carla and Lisa have inexplicably made up, as if nothing has happened. On the plus side however, at least we have got rid of the dreadful Undead Becky storyline.

Probably some more bits and bobs to discuss, but I'm sure we'll get to them soon. Smile

Why is Theo never at work

and yes Theo acts like he is his Dad

I’ve said this to my DH - when he first arrived he was always scaffolding - now he’s always home to torment Todd. My DHs theory is that now he has the joint account that Todd can’t access he isn’t working and is just living off Todd’s money that he’s earning at the undertakers.

SabreIsMyFave · 13/02/2026 13:30

Ah ha, thanks for the info about the woman ranting at George @Shellingbynight and @LesserSpottedCharacter Smile

Also, I don't know whether it's illegal, but it is inappropriate and frowned upon and unethical ... As @eggandonion said ...

I can't imagine leaving a funeral director any money. My will is with the local solicitors and I would have to get them to change it. I think they would discuss it with me carefully. What a strange story.

I agree. I am sure that a solicitor will advise against it - leaving the funeral director that you have used for a funeral - any money. It's a huge conflict of interest.

Nice Todd is lovely, he has a dry sense of humour.

I agree Theo behaves like his dad (if his dad was a sadistic monster, of course.)

zanahoria · 13/02/2026 13:33

Todd does not even need to go back to being bad Todd. He just needs to know how manipulative people's minds work and that should not be that tricky as he used to be one himself.

Empress13 · 13/02/2026 14:00

Lovely innocent intelligent Sam taking drugs under Nick’s nose FFS you couldn’t make it up !

eggandonion · 13/02/2026 14:15

Adam might offer to change a will for 10 percent commission. He used to be bad...but now is just boring .

Even Sam is a criminal now

LesserSpottedCharacter · 13/02/2026 14:38

Todd needs to bump into Danielle while he's still bruised so she can say something along the lines of Theo being still at it and that'll be Todd's lightbulb moment.

He knows though, it was very obvious last night he was saying I love you to keep himself safe. He just needs a straw 🐫

The lady ranting (at George) had George do her (deceased) husband's funeral. All was OK, until she found out her husband has left George £10,000 (which I think she said is all his life savings.')

She has accused George of getting her (deceased) husband to change his will to leave everything to him. She is threatening to take legal action against him, as it's unethical for the funeral director to receive an inheritance like this.

I am sure she has a case, as it would be regarded as unethical for a funeral director to receive an inheritance, and also, this lady is his wife, so she surely has to be more entitled to the money than George.

It may be considered unethical for a funeral director to become shacked up with a grieving widow a few months after she has buried her husband.

Oh yes of course!!! I had forgotten about Christina's partner (in crime!) Dom! She and he tried to con Jenny if I recall correctly... Yeah, he had barely gone cold before she and George were a bit of an 'item.'

Not sure if it's against the law though. Then again, I'm not sure if a funeral director receiving an inheritance from someone he has just buried is either. I have looked online, at quite a few sources, and I just keep getting info that says it is 'frowned upon' and 'unethical' and 'there's a conflict of interest...' But is it actually 'illegal?'

Maybe someone who knows more about this than me can clarify....? Smile

Did George do dom's funeral? My phone is trying to call him Tom. The funeral home set is well used. But I would spend more time in the Kabin or the medical centre which is never used.

Hmmm, I'm not sure about that. (If George did Don's funeral!) Will go and have a Google!

@eggandonion Yes, it seems George (Shuttleworth) did do Dom's funeral. (I do remember now I've looked it up!)

From Digital Spy...

Christina Boyd arrived back on the Street (Summer 2025,) with news that Dom has died.

Suspicious Jenny Connor is convinced it's another one of the couple's scams, cooked up to get their hands on George Shuttleworth's cash.

Determined to prove Dom's death is an elaborate hoax, she storms into Shuttleworths, and rips the lid off his coffin…

"Jenny is certain she won't find a corpse inside," a Corrie source explained.

"This death story bears all the hallmarks of Christina and Dom – and Jenny knows first-hand what this cunning duo are capable of. But she has got it wrong this time! Dom was in the coffin!"

So yes indeed, it was George who was handling Dom's funeral! Smile

I am beginning to get even more suspicious that Ollie is a wrong'un.

Lauren was looking happy this week and we all know that is not going to last

JohnBullshit · 13/02/2026 16:20

I remembered the farcical coffin scene with Jenny bursting in, confident that Dom's coffin would be empty.
Hope is absolutely the one to bring down Megan. Nobody would believe her at first, then she would end up using that as leverage every time she was called out in the future. But it'll probably go in another direction entirely.
I don't know what to make of Ollie at all.

That would be an excellent addition to this storyline.

Jake has been played by this actor for a lot of years now. His real life sister plays Susie. I think the pair of them are great actors.

Oh I didn't know that! That Jake and Susie were siblings in real life.

OP posts:
Shellingbynight · 13/02/2026 16:59

I don't think Theo behaved like this towards Danielle, that certainly isn't the impression she gave in the scenes I saw.

A PP mentioned a while ago that she thought Theo was violent to his male partners due to internalised homophobia, He has never really accepted being gay and hates himself, and takes it out on them. He wouldn't feel that way about Danielle, he was 'being normal' when he was with her.

I didn't know that either. You can definitely see the resemblance now you've said they're siblings.
I've figured out who Jodie reminds me of. Jennifer Metcalfe. I don't watch Hollyoaks anymore but I did years ago, don't know if she's still in it, she played Mercedes McQueen

suburburban · 13/02/2026 17:20

I would like Todd to answer back to Theo

like the takeaway comment

well what have you eaten at your mum’s Theo, was it all healthy

could you go shopping as you left me no money or could I have my card for our joint account

when are you working Theo

etc

Ah yes... I remember Theo and Todd bumped into one of Theo's ex male partners at a street carnival and he was NOT pleased to see him.

Lorrymum · 13/02/2026 18:08

Not really sure why the woman yelling about the will would threaten to go to the police. They wouldn't be in the slightest bit interested.

Yeah, I was kind of thinking that as I was writing it but I wouldn't be surprised if history will be changed to suit again. One of Theo's previous victims then, although I've no doubt he'd be very quick to explain away that he's crazy and bitter because they didn't last because he (the other guy) was abusive or some such BS. But hopefully it would be enough to give Todd a bit more impetus to get away from him.

Shellingbynight · 13/02/2026 19:30

You'd think that Theo's extreme behaviour would be enough to wake Todd up. He does sometimes seem to realise what's happening, and he even had the evidence of the doctored video. But at this rate he'll catch Theo shagging Carl and still blame himself.

LesserSpottedCharacter · 13/02/2026 19:34

It's hard to convey what it's like being under an abuser's cloud. Even though Todd is seeing Theo's behaviour with a bit more clarity now he is powerless.
