Anyone else looking forward to the new series?

First task is the classic buying task, but it's taking place in Hong Kong.

There's also a new companion show - 'Unfinished Business' - let's hope it's a return to form after several years of the 'All About Tom Allen' show 😆

I seem to remember he was fired as a scapegoat too. He was a nice guy but got thrown under the bus

Yes you are right

StacyFromCroydon · 05/03/2026 22:04

It had to be done, they were so bad

billysboy · 05/03/2026 22:05

Andrea looks like she has seen a ghost lol

AlwaysRightISwear · 05/03/2026 22:08

I'm sure I remember a triple once previously.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 05/03/2026 22:12

A quick search provided this.
So not the first triple firing - but maybe the second?

At least she can go back to the day job fighting He Man.

That often seems to happen to the (rare) nice guy contestants. Tom Pellereau (nerdy inventor) was one of the few that was successful.

I think so. Brutal!

I remember it happening once before, some years ago. It came as a shock then, too.

cariadlet · 06/03/2026 05:51

To be fair, he could have just kept the whole team in and fired the lot of them.

Rubbish tour followed by rubbish food.

AuntyAngela · 06/03/2026 07:12

Anyone good with voices know which of the men* said at the end "he's getting rid of the deadwood".

*My super sleuth skill are good enough to know it was a man 😜. Also it wasn't Penfold (I've still not figured out their names) unless he's a ventriloquist or my eyesight has really deteriated!

He was excellent! Everyone had been looking down on him as being geeky and the opposite of an Alpha Male but he really shone at that task.

He was incredibly lucky that his super niche skill in canon firing happened to come up!

TheWeeDonkeyFella · 06/03/2026 09:07

I think Andreas negativity was a strategy for covering her backside most of the time, her 'told you so' for if it went wrong instead of putting forward constructive suggestions in the first place.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 05/03/2026 21:42

This is another one to be decided on the least shit team rather than the best team...

Although the buggy tour looked quite fun.

suburburban · 06/03/2026 10:26

I think the guy also over promised with the luxury food so he should have come back to the boardroom

Absolutely!

IHeartMyTissues · 06/03/2026 13:19

On the basis of that task, the entire team deserved to go, but none of the three in the boardroom had made much of a showing previously so there was nothing to save them.

It's struck me that the teams are getting much less autonomy this series - e.g. with the flowers last week, their corporate clients were predetermined; this week they were told what activity they would be doing rather than being able to choose between boat trip, buggies or something else. Their team names were pre-picked too. I wonder why this is?

It's detrimental to the show in my opinion - it feels as though they are playing out pre-packed scenarios rather than standing or falling by their own decisions. It's like judging them on how well they put together a flat-packed cupboard instead of designing and building their own cupboard.

we are only being shown what the producers of the show want us to see at this stage

Dan, I believe.

Piggywaspushed · 06/03/2026 18:11

If by Penfold you mean Dan, it was him. It's his voice. I think they had no footage of him saying it so cut in his face immediately afterwards to indicate he said it. It was clumsy editing. I justvrewatched with DS and he said Dan too. None of the rest of them speak like him and it's exactly in his wheelhouse to say that.

NewAgeNewMe · 06/03/2026 20:01

I’d have fired the lot. How can you try the food you are sending out.

sorryIdidntmeanto · 06/03/2026 22:36

My 12 year old called Andrea and Megan to go. He said 'undercooked potatoes isn't a crime'. True. A business partner does not routinely need to cook potatoes.

No, it isn’t a crime, your DS is right. But who really would serve uncooked potatoes at a corporate event? It’s the easiest thing in the world to check. Just try one yourself!
