Welcome to Thread 9 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

Re celeb traitors ...Chris Ramsey was so up for it when he was on Uncloaked the other night.
He would be fun .

but Traitors Ireland is starting next week.

You have to hunt for it though !

I can't bloody stand Emma Watson, but it probably would be fun watching her wibbling around in the castle and going nuts.

Towards the end they don’t reveal whether they’re traitor or faithful as they leave, so they end up having to go on a feeling that they’ve banished the right people. At some point Stephen and Rachel need to make an alliance with one faithful and act convinced that the three of them are the only faithful remaining.

Agree to no Loose Women. Sadly, this now rules out Janet Street Porter, who would be good TV. But, if you take the Loose Women shilling, you're a no no. 🔨.

No reality TV stars. You must have become famous or known in your field through skill and talent.

Any of Kirsty Wark, Kirsty Young, Emily Maitliss, Victoria Derbyshire, Emma Barnett, Naga Munchetty, Reeta Chakrabarti, Fiona Bruce - any of the big female news presenter/journalists would be good.

I think one of the Dimblebys would be good in the mature, intelligent male spot (that Stephen Fry always gets put in).

I'm too out of touch to know who anyone "for the kids" could be.

I think it could be interesting to have Victoria Coren Mitchell and David Mitchell both in there.

Tess Daly too. Actually Vernon would be good entertainment.

I’m picturing Giles Coren at the buffet guzzling everything down and drinking all the alcohol before anyone else gets their hands on it 😂

I love ‘Would I Lie to You’ when they are on together, especially when one’s lie is about the other. My favourite is the episode where David says that when he’s cross with Victoria he moves the bookmarks in the books she’s reading.
Their words and reactions, and those of the rest of the panel, make wonderful watching.
