Welcome to Thread 9 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

While we welcome posters discussing their theories and speculating on relationships/connections between players, please don’t post spoilers from elsewhere that may ruin things for those of us who like to see things unfold over the course of the series.

The story so far <spoiler warning if you haven’t seen the start of episode 9>

Traitors is not a team playing show! Why do people think that winners are not team players in real life? It's acting.

It's a bit like refusing to shake hands with James Norton because he played a rapist. 😀

BlueLimes · 17/01/2026 16:22

Shes not an actor though - this is part her personality- imo

BlueLimes · 17/01/2026 16:23

Unless she’s a trained actor as well as FBI trained.

JaneJeffer · 17/01/2026 16:23

I didn’t take to her from day one and she’s done nothing to change my mind.

SwedishEdith · 17/01/2026 16:26

It probably doesn't help (but also it really does help in the programme) that she's tall and appears to genuinely look down her nose at people.

BlueLimes · 17/01/2026 16:30

Tbf to Rachel she looks, acts and speaks like someone at work who’s completely awful so I’m probably having a Harriet moment.

I do think something must have happened between them to have prompted the outburst though.

Maggiethecat · 17/01/2026 16:32

JaneJeffer · 17/01/2026 16:20

She’d probably blame her mistakes on you and everyone would believe her.

💯

Maggiethecat · 17/01/2026 16:36

Her work mantra is likely to be every man for himself, while cosying up to you of course.

CharlotteRumpling · 17/01/2026 16:45

I think the remaining Faithful have shown they are poor team players and scatterbrained. Working with them would be like herding cats.

I would happily work with any Traitor from all series tbh except Sam from Oz S2 who was too much even for my Traitor loving heart. They were all pretty clever, calm and with good skills. I don't enjoy working with people who cry a lot and so many of the Faithful cry at the drop of a hat.

CharlotteRumpling · 17/01/2026 16:14

I wouldn't want to work with James or Jack. They don't seem very bright. James appears chaotic.
Smart is more important than nice in the world of work.

I'd rather work with nice people than those with a case of the smartarse about them.

BlueLimes · 17/01/2026 16:50

@CharlotteRumpling I do agree the faithful haven’t been team players and many of them irritating. It’s been a very odd selection of players- probably too many people who want to be famous.

NewAgeNewMe · 17/01/2026 16:50

Sam was in a league of his own though. My favourite traitors, Amanda season 1, Minah, the American woman Cirie think season 1, Camille and Nigel in Australia. Think Nigel best ever contestant (of the ones I’ve watched). I properly loved him.

Yes- it’s easy to be forgiving of nice people.

CharlotteRumpling · 17/01/2026 16:51

I suppose it depends on where you work!

CharlotteRumpling · 17/01/2026 16:55

It's quite interesting how people perceive James or Jack as ' nice". Would they be so nice if they were Traitors? They would have to scheme and connive too.

James couldn't scheme. I don't think he's got it in him.

He'd come into breakfast the first morning and announce, "I'm not a Traitor. I wasn't in the Tower last night" and scuttle off. 10 minutes later, he'd be back and 'fess up to being a traitor because he couldn't control himself.

LindorDoubleChoc · 17/01/2026 17:01

Thanks for the replies about Ben. I'm going to bow out now until I've caught up!

I worked with someone like that once - she was my newly-appointed interfering manager after my previous boss had left. Got my own back though. I resigned and told the managing director, when he asked me, that I was leaving because she was a monumental bitch and I couldn't stand her undermining me any more.

Heard on the grapevine some time later that she was quietly got rid of about 3 months after I left. Turned out she hadn't been as good at the job as she thought she was.

They’re not mutually exclusive though. And if by nice we mean decent people not readily screwing others over to climb the ladder, and I had to choose, I’d choose nice to work with.

Trixibell1234 · 17/01/2026 17:17

Rachel is so competitive - people like that make me feel very guarded.

ThatCyanCat · 17/01/2026 17:28

The Traitors parody in this week's Beano with the Bash Street Kids is brilliant.

Lollylavender · 17/01/2026 17:47

Runningismyhappyplace50 · 17/01/2026 15:35

I am hoping one of the faithfuls have their eye on Rachel but they aren’t showing us in the edit to make the final dramatic.

The traitors have been great to watch but I cannot believe the faithfuls are really this clueless!

Also think Harriet’s plan was always to dramatically leave early.

I’m also so surprised why none of the faithfuls brought you either Rachel (especially after Harriet’s strong views) or Stephen (after suspiciously murdering Jessie)???

butimamonstersaidthemonster · 17/01/2026 18:26

Ok. The only satisfying ending is Stephen and Rachel make final four with two faithfuls and then have to decide whether to win together or go for all the money.

MrsLeonFarrell · 17/01/2026 18:27

I doubt there is someone who is voicing suspicions we haven't seen on screen. Half the fun is the mismatch between what people are saying publically and what they actually think. The suspense in series 2 with Jaz and Harry wouldn't have been as strong if we hadn't known Jaz was suspicious.

MrsLeonFarrell · 17/01/2026 18:28

helplessbanana · 17/01/2026 15:20

How come nobody has thought to themselves: "Crikey, Rachel is seriously good at this. Everybody likes her and everybody trusts her, she is so calm and really astute, and when people have accused her, she shrugs it off so easily. She's an awesome Faithful and could easily win, so I simply cannot understand why the Traitors haven't murdered her yet.......... oh wait.......hang on....... <facepalm>...💡"

This set of faithfuls aren't working together enough to make those logical leaps. If Rachel is rumbled i think at this point it will be an accident.
