Welcome to Thread 9 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

While we welcome posters discussing their theories and speculating on relationships/connections between players, please don’t post spoilers from elsewhere that may ruin things for those of us who like to see things unfold over the course of the series.

The story so far <spoiler warning if you haven’t seen the start of episode 9>

Harriet’s Dad is Lord Nimmo Smith, Senior judge. Now retired. So, she grew up surrounded by the law. Must be so many great stories she can tell in her novels, just from family dinners.

EdithBond · 16/01/2026 22:40

Just realised I forgot Jack. The invisible man.

Doubt he’ll win as few people likely to be invested in him. But maybe his golden moment (at the firepit) is yet to come.

threesocksmorgan · 16/01/2026 22:41

I don’t mind who wins as long it’s not Roxy or Matt

The faithfuls are just sheep

But in this game, if you're a faithful, it pays to be a sheep.

At a very basic level what every faithful is after at the round table vote is 'anyone but me'. So it makes sense to go with the zeitgeist. We've seen what happens when they don't. 😂

EchoedSilence · 16/01/2026 22:33

I've warmed to Rachel because she's she is so damn good as a Traitor. I'd love her to win.

Rachel is hard as nails and expects to win. Would rather an underdog snatch it.

butimamonstersaidthemonster · 16/01/2026 22:43

What a boring episode. I always hate the dinner. I just don’t care!!!

NCTDN · 16/01/2026 22:44

Htcunya · 16/01/2026 22:35

Yes, it has been mentioned and it’s so true😁

And Sam looking the image of Ed Gamble!

Thanks. I guessed I must’ve missed that though I did notice the one about the David tennant lookalike which I also thought.

pouletvous · 16/01/2026 21:50

There was an American one i saw where nobody won anything. I think that was unique

Australia season two. Absolute car crash all the way through.

Allthatwegotisthispalebluedot · 16/01/2026 22:45

Rachel looks like both Phoebe from friends, and Feathers McGraw from Wallace and Gromit to me, while we are talking about look-a-likes.

BlueLimes · 16/01/2026 22:45

And Rachel was do implausible when she was asked what questions she asked the traitors.
its ridiculous how no one has taken her on.

MovingOn26 · 16/01/2026 22:46

Rachel for the win! Stephen just follows her cue; he's along for the ride.

Most of the faithfuls at this stage are just daft.

BlueLimes · 16/01/2026 22:48

People I don’t want to win: Rachel, Matt and Roxy.

I think Sam was nicer than he came across.

Harriets behaviour was so odd am sure there’s a story there.

cloudtreecarpet · 16/01/2026 22:48

I think Rachel is playing an amazing game and deserves to win tbh.
The way she said that thing at breakfast about knowing who it is etc was so well done & was pretty fearless. Just watching Stephen's face while she spoke was hilarious.

Actually both she & Stephen have played it really well I think.
For once I would be happy for the traitors to win because I think they deserve it & I'm not sure the faithful do.

I hope people leave Jade alone now they know her terribly sad back story & why she's quite guarded. I have thoroughly disliked the way she has been picked on for no real reason.

I don’t think she’s been picked on more than some other people (e.g. Sam).

I respectfully disagree! I don’t think we’ve seen any evidence that she expects to win. I feel that what can be perceived as hard as nails can equally be laser focus. ( I also think that what is admired as laser focus in a man is hard -and -therefore-unlikeable in a woman) I am not meaning to sound like I am accusing you of this, I hope it doesn’t come across like that, just a more general observation of how women who do well as Traitors seem to attract more criticism about their ‘likeability’ than men. I think we saw similar with reactions to Charlotte in the last series.

Reading the.past threads there was some nasty stuff said about Jade and Roxy as well.

ilovesooty · 16/01/2026 22:52

I'm beginning to visualise Roxy and Rachel being left as the last two standing and Roxy finding out that the person she trusted was a traitor all along.

HK04 · 16/01/2026 22:43

Why though? It's a game. You play to win. The best player should win. Not some underdog who coasts and brings nothing to the game.

But there has never been any evidence against her except she's a bit quiet/aloof.

And then Amanda admitted she had nothing on her but just kept bringing her name up anyway.

Harry and Mollie all over again!

There hasn’t been any evidence against any of them, though. Being accused is just part of the game.

BlueLimes · 16/01/2026 22:56

I don’t think any of the contestants have said how lovely Rachel is on uncloaked??
I wonder if she’s not that popular but is seen as powerful.

EchoedSilence · 16/01/2026 22:52

At this point I think Rachel deserves to win because she has just played the game so we'll but hasn't resorted to being unpleasant or rude while doing so.

And she has stuck loyally to Stephen & really had his back.

Starandflowers · 16/01/2026 22:57

I really don’t get the Rachel hate, I think she is fab and has played a great game. Her and Stephen absolutely for the win

Don’t particularly mind Jade or Roxy either but wouldn’t want them to win

All the other guys are not adding anything to the game now

All the ones I don’t like have went already
Fiona - nasty woman
Harriet - the mask slipped and she was pretty horrible too
Sam - far too cocky and arrogant
Jessie - over the top and ridiculous

But this has definitely been the worst series - feels a lot more producer manipulated than other years. Not in that they are manipulating the result but just too many gimmicks like the secret traitor, far too many shields etc

I think the producers did a good job showing us why Sam came under suspicion whereas I'm baffled about what the faithful are seeing in Jade to keep picking on her. She's not great at defending herself though and I would have liked to see her coming up with better ideas than lobbing back at her accusers.
