Welcome to Thread 9 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

While we welcome posters discussing their theories and speculating on relationships/connections between players, please don’t post spoilers from elsewhere that may ruin things for those of us who like to see things unfold over the course of the series.

The story so far <spoiler warning if you haven’t seen the start of episode 9>

I like Faraaz.

I respect Rachel but I don't like her.

Feel the same. I hope Faraaz wins but the stronger characters will eat him up at the final😭

Lillers · 16/01/2026 22:19

I do love the psychology of the dagger:
If they keep it for themselves, that looks suspicious,
They can manipulate play by giving it to someone who doesn’t suspect them, but then surely the faithful will immediately realise that whoever that person does suspect, cannot be a traitor.
They can do a seriously risky double bluff by giving it someone who does suspect one of them, and use that to “clear” their name, but that is a hell of a risk if it doesn’t work out (plus neither of them were really in the firing line tonight).
I think I’d give it to someone else who is suspected of being a traitor as a set up, so maybe Jade or Matthew. Again, risky in case they use it against one of them, but easy to play the “the traitors kept it for themselves” card.

Ross and Ellie are a lovely couple.

They are! They were lovely to watch on Uncloaked

bit late to the party 🎉
wow Matt is awful. So glad that jade wouldn’t give him a hug .

Don’t want to win…

Rachel ❎
Stephen ❎
Matthew ❎

Wouldn’t mind them winning:

Jack ✔️
Farazz ✔️
Roxy ✔️

Top two would like to win:

Jade ✔️✔️
James ✔️✔️

How ‘bout you? 🤔

I always get irritated by Roxy defending the traitors.

LighthouseLED · 16/01/2026 22:21

I think I’d give it to Jade.

She has heat on her and no particular alliances as far as I can tell, so easy to team up with a couple of other people to negate her double vote,

Clafoutie · 16/01/2026 22:22

Regardless of whether she wins or not, Rachel is just an outstanding player. I think she is the best player, Traitor or Faithful, that we have seen yet across all the series.

I suspect she would have been equally good as a Faithful, it would have been interesting to have seen that.

She is at least one step ahead of most of the others in her thinking and planning, but her real strength seems to be her emotional control.

She understands, where so many others don’t ( players and viewers!) that this is a game. It is not real life, it is not a true reflection of who people are. I think this helps her to avoid the trap so many fall into of not seeing things clearly because ‘ so and so is nice person’ etc.

I know lots of viewers dislike her, but that is also a mistake I think. We have no idea what she is like in real life. That said, the fact that the other players seem to detect warmth in her suggests she is a lot nicer than people assume.

On a different note, as I have said before, my love for Claudia knows no bounds. She is a comedic genius! The way she slammed that dagger down, and her deadpan style, very unique and I love her for it! 😍

Faraaz-maybe but completely useless throughout the series.

LighthouseLED · 16/01/2026 22:24

I suspect she would have been equally good as a Faithful, it would have been interesting to have seen that.

I think she’d have been murdered by now. Unless she managed to identify a Traitor and get them onside.

GreatName · 16/01/2026 22:24

Where are Jade's glasses from?! MN do your thing. I need them!

NCTDN · 16/01/2026 22:25

Don’t know whether I’ve missed this from early threads, but does anyone think that Jack looks like Ross from the early series (aka Diane’s son)?

I think Roxy would be the safest choice for them.

Jade had previously been suspicious of Stephen so could easily vote for him again. And think she mentioned suspicions about him at the RT today as well.

Nosejobnelly · 16/01/2026 22:30

3678194b · 16/01/2026 20:50

The faithful will never win. They are so thick! No one voted Stephen despite some suspecting him and no one has voted for Rachel, despite all the outgoing accusations she's had.

The faithful don't deserve to win it, they're so dim.

Totally agree. I don’t even like Rachel but she deserves to win more than any if the faithful because they’re so idiotic.

Maggiethecat · 16/01/2026 22:31

awaynboilyurheid · 16/01/2026 22:08

Give it to Roxy she’ll give double votes to Claudia and still look annoyed at everyone else when she’s wrong.

😂😂😂😂

EchoedSilence · 16/01/2026 22:33

I've warmed to Rachel because she's she is so damn good as a Traitor. I'd love her to win.

Allthatwegotisthispalebluedot · 16/01/2026 22:34

Some of the criticism of Rachel on here isn’t sitting right with me tbh. She’s kept a cool head and hasn’t lost her marbles like some of them. She’s owes the faithfuls nothing! She was randomly assigned a role amongst a game in which strangers signed up to lie and deceive to each other! Even the faithfuls do that to some extent if they keep their suspicions to themselves and try and fly under the radar!

Like she said - she has to think of her mum and kids when it comes to the cash! Even if she wanted to piss it all away on cocaine and flash cars, she still wouldn’t owe anyone with a ‘better’ sob story than her the opportunity to win thousands of pounds and she would be insane to act like she did. (And no doubt having 3 kids and a very unwell mother is expensive anyway!). They’ve all only known each other a couple of days anyway (apart from Ross who inexplicably knew someone for 15 years and someone else for four and a half, lolz).

Other thoughts from this evening:
Faraaz is both adorable and amusing, I do like how chill he came across. Jade’s story was really very sad. Stephen continues to slay with his fashion and facial expressions and I love him and really want him to win - even though I swear to god he said ‘I know I’m a tr-faithful’. James is a REALLY nice person and very polite but would make a dreadful traitor. Roxy is dumber than a box of rocks and needs to be taken to the final by the traitors and then chucked under the bus. I continue to say ‘who the fuck is that?’ every time Adam is on screen. Matty is an interesting one - I can’t really remember how the final all works. From Rachel and Stephen’s pov- Would it make sense to take jade, matty and Roxy to the final as they are so suspicious of each other and bin them off there? Or is there something I’m missing?

Yes, it has been mentioned and it’s so true😁

And Sam looking the image of Ed Gamble!

Adam was murdered a couple of days ago!

SoScarletItWas · 16/01/2026 22:35

Don’t want to win
Jack
Jade (she’s done nothing wrong but nothing to merit it either)
Matthew

Wouldn’t mind winning
Roxy
James because I still think he’s connected to Jessie and I liked her
Faaraz

Want to win
Rachel
Rachel
Rachel
with Stephen
They’ve been a great Traitor team!

Sorry - I meant jack, not Adam! See that’s how much I don’t know who Jack is.

Both Rachel and Stephen have played so well. But want Faraaz and James to win.

Possible Faraaz is following his game plan and keeping his cards v close to his chest. But also possible he doesn’t have a scooby.

James actually quite perceptive. From my recollection, has said several times the person they’ve voted for can’t be a Traitor, just before they’ve revealed they’re a Faithful. And has voted outside the pack (though not necessarily for a Traitor).

Still hoping Roxy’s played a blinder and will get to final and banish the Traitors. But she’s keeping it v quiet if she suspects Rachel (which would be wise).

Jade’s into gaming and has played well, despite being voted for by at least one person at most RTs and consistently discussed/suspected. Think they wouldn’t take a risk on her being Faithful.

Matty the most evidenced-based. But, like Jade, don’t think they’ll take the risk he’s Faithful and Traitors will likely murder him or encourage his banishment. He’s too dangerous.

Flowersforyourchocolateprettyplease · 16/01/2026 22:36

Miss FBI always voting for faithful, yet they still hang onto her every word.

Sheep!

PinkPanther57 · 16/01/2026 22:38

Rachel’s revelation at breakfast…

No one suspicious?

I like her strategy of buying herself time.

Buzzlightfear · 16/01/2026 22:39

I love jade's earrings. Anyone know where they're from? Obviously that's the most important thing I took from this episode 😁

For the first 6 episodes- matt, James, Jack and Adam were the same person for me.

Even now I'm not sure of the face for Jack and James.😂

I watch the episode and know who jack or James is. But right now and hour or so after I'm still like which one is Jack???
