Welcome to Thread 8 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

While we welcome posters discussing their theories and speculating on relationships/connections between players, please don’t post spoilers from elsewhere that may ruin things for those of us who like to see things unfold over the course of the series.

The story so far (as at end of Ep 6):

Traitors
Hugo
Rachel
Stephen
Fiona (Secret Traitor)

Murdered
Netty
Ben
Maz
Reece

Banished
Judy (Faithful)
Hugo (Traitor)
Ross (Faithful)
Amanda (Faithful)
Fiona (Traitor)
Harriet (Faithful)

Jessie, James and Adam are the potential murder candidates, but both Jessie and James have shields.

The floor is yours…

I felt very sad for Jessie, that no one is listening to her, as she gave a very compelling argument.

What pissed me off even more was when Jade, and was it Ellie(?) who suggested why not look at Jessie as a possible traitor. Yes, I know they can't trust anyone, but I am feeling exhausted on Jessie's behalf!

I'm glad Rachel acknowledged how brilliant Jessie was to her face, and in the turret.

WonderfulSmith · 15/01/2026 23:08

I was thinking, whilst getting ready for bed, about the ex contestants that they get on uncloaked. I imagine that many people have gone back to doing their day jobs. Imagine having to go to your boss and ask for next Wednesday off because you’ve got to go on the tv.

Uhink · 15/01/2026 23:16

WolfinSheepsDress · 15/01/2026 22:59

@goldtrap omg I complety forgot that Fiona went for Rachel !

Can't believe no one is listening to Jess she's using proper strategy not just gut feelings

she's using proper strategy

Is she though? She's got it right, yes, but none of the things she's saying are at all concrete. There 'must' have been a traitor in the cages? That's just simply not true. And the Library 5 'must' have had a traitor because of then Ben/Ross thing. Could have been myriad other reasons they chose to murder who they did.

I like Jessie very much but her being right is quite a lot of luck.

Allthatwegotisthispalebluedot · 15/01/2026 23:17

Jessie is the only faithful who has shown herself to have any brains at all - she’s almost like who Harriet wishes she could be (if Harriet had bothered to listen to her) - in that she’s actually using whatever scraps of evidence to put two and two together HOWEVER I love Stephen and his over the top facial expressions and his absurd outfits and I will be gutted if he gets banished, so it’s for that reason I’m voting for yourself, Jessie x - sorry!

Fulmine · 15/01/2026 23:18

I'm getting slightly tired of Jessie's gaping open mouth whenever anything mildly unexpected happens. Surely she knows by now to expect surprises?

Same brand as another poster alerted me to in an earlier thread.

I was excited because I loved her rainbow one until I saw how much it was!

Hope Macaulay is the brand.

Sorry, just lurking - but I can't get over how appalling these huge chunky knitted cardigans are! DS said the other night, 'has Jade nicked that off Tom Daley?' Grin but I had no idea what they cost. They're knitted roving - it's how dyed combed wool is before it's spun - with no twist, it will pull apart and catch on stuff from the first wear, and for that reason alone I think Jade is a silly young thing who clearly doesn't need the dosh, and needs to go. Plus they make the wearer look like your tiny Barbie doll who's wearing a jumper your lovely granny knitted her, and the scale isn't quite right.

Pepperz · 15/01/2026 23:30

They don’t wear their own clothes do they? I’m sure someone said a few series ago that they have a wardrobe department sorting their clothes now.

Clafoutie · 15/01/2026 23:31

Beachtastic · 15/01/2026 22:53

Oh but I love it when Stephen does it. He's like a pantomime TinTin.

Ha, yes, very true! That’s a great description of him too 😆

CarminaBiryani · 15/01/2026 23:32

Something crazy must happen on the next few episodes, as there's 10 players left and 3 episodes.

If they have one murder and one banishment on Weds and one murder and one banishment on Thurs, that's 4 players, so 6 players for the final which seems quite high but its a long final episode. They must have an extra RT in there somewhere.

I love his clothes and his style.

I think my favourite connection conspiracy is that ‘everyone in the castle has had sex with Ross at some point’.

😂

Daygloboo · 15/01/2026 23:44

goldtrap · 15/01/2026 22:47

They don't know because they aren't listening to the clues. They completely disregarded Fiona and Harriet. The least they should have done is worked in unison and voted for Rachel. They don't know if she is or isn't a traitor but equally they don't know if anyone else is or isn't a traitor.
I agree with this. What else have they got to go on? Fiona (traitor, so knows) and Harriet (sacrificed herself so they would listen to her) both said it was Rachel, so...why don't they just take a punt and vote Rachel?! It's the most compelling 'evidence' they've got so far.

But Rachel is so convincing. If I was in there i would completely trust her.

Pinkbox · 15/01/2026 23:47

What I want to know is how Stephen knew six months ago that an astronaut would get sick on the ISS and the pod carrying the crew would land back on Earth today, for which he wore his spacesuit in recognition. Riddle me that!

Daygloboo · 15/01/2026 23:48

cloudtreecarpet · 15/01/2026 21:52

Interesting. I didn't get that vibe from them & have never considered that but, as you say, you never know.

Maybe his wife is in it but maybe it's not Rachel.

I don't think so.

@ThursdayLastWeek i was amazed to pick up a similar looking one in the charity shop this week, by a brand called Wild Flower. Not my listing but this was the only picture I could find of it, might be worth searching Vinted for one if you really like it https://www.vinted.co.uk/items/7290586829-wild-flower-floral-knitted-cardigan-ml

Wild flower floral knitted cardigan M/L | Vinted

Wild flower floral knitted cardigan M/L - Wild flower floral knitted cardigan M/L, quite an oversized fit. Brand new with tags. Such an ace item but just haven't worn it.

Just watching unclaimed. As predicted La Voix is hogging the limelight, it’s not about you mate.

That's a lie

Daygloboo · 16/01/2026 00:02

helplessbanana · 15/01/2026 19:21

Maybe there is a second secret traitor, who nobody knows about at all, including us.😂

I wondered that

helplessbanana · 16/01/2026 00:07

Daygloboo · 16/01/2026 00:01

That's a lie

Yes, I thought La Voix realised that he (she? Sorry, I'm not familiar with this person or their work) was a bit of a spare part and wisely shut up to let the actual recent and former participants share their thoughts and experiences.

Me too. I couldn't stick Stephen for the first episode and then something clicked and I fell at his feet. Grin I've actually told DS1 I regard him as my third son now and I will be devastated if he doesn't win. He is adorable and sweet and even his silly 'tache doesn't piss me off. I don't understand why more people don't suspect him, he's made a couple of whoopsies, but I reckon his sweetness is the ultimate foil. Only Jessie, this season's ultimate Cassandra, has been on about him - but nobody will listen!

Never have I wanted a pair of Traitors to win so badly. Rachel is a blinder, she really deserves to get this.

Romeiswheretheheartis · 16/01/2026 00:20

Zillyzillyzillymouse · 15/01/2026 22:59

Regarding Jessie, they are damned if they do and damned if they don’t.

I think they'd have been better trying to recruit Jessie, I dont know why they decided to murder.

CarminaBiryani · 16/01/2026 00:25

I think it's hard for Stephen and Rachel not to win now.

Jade's likely to get banished, as is Matthew.

Could see them murdering Jack to split up the scooby gang Jack/James/Jessie. And Jessie near the end to frame James, Roxy always had a thing on James anyway.

Roxy and Ellie in the final who will probably turn on each other.

placemats · 16/01/2026 00:25

Wheezygonzalez · 15/01/2026 21:49

They pick up and hyper focus on the weirdest things. Why would Sam gunning for a shield make him a traitor? They focus on this and not all the ‘evidence’ Jessie laid out at the RT?

I’d be saying, why do you keep popping up in all these facts Stephen? The reaction to Fiona, the cages, the library? On their own they mean nothing but together… Stephen’s always there!

So is Jessie, otherwise she wouldn't know that

Namechangerage · 16/01/2026 00:32

Daygloboo · 16/01/2026 00:02

I wondered that

Ooooh!

CarminaBiryani · 16/01/2026 00:38

Namechangerage · 16/01/2026 00:32

Ooooh!

Isn't it just telling that there was a secret traitor (Fiona) at the start? As that would be relevant to game play.
