Welcome to Thread 8 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

While we welcome posters discussing their theories and speculating on relationships/connections between players, please don’t post spoilers from elsewhere that may ruin things for those of us who like to see things unfold over the course of the series.

The story so far (as at end of Ep 6):

Traitors
Hugo
Rachel
Stephen
Fiona (Secret Traitor)

Murdered
Netty
Ben
Maz
Reece

Banished
Judy (Faithful)
Hugo (Traitor)
Ross (Faithful)
Amanda (Faithful)
Fiona (Traitor)
Harriet (Faithful)

Jessie, James and Adam are the potential murder candidates, but both Jessie and James have shields.

The floor is yours…

Fiona didn’t say anything about it when she was banished, did she?

beasmithwentworth · 16/01/2026 02:35

@EdithBond well they do appear to have their brains wiped every night whilst they sleep so Rachel could be absolutely fine. The brain / memory wiping machine occasionally malfunctions (Jessie) but otherwise it seems to be in good working order.

CarminaBiryani · 16/01/2026 02:56

'How are you doing that? My god is that person OK?' 🤣

'They're dead'

'Oh sorry'

'They'll be fine'

The commitment to this scene is truly fantastic.

I think it's hard for Stephen and Rachel not to win now.

Jade's likely to get banished, as is Matthew.

Could see them murdering Jack to split up the scooby gang Jack/James/Jessie. And Jessie near the end to frame James, Roxy always had a thing on James anyway.

Roxy and Ellie in the final who will probably turn on each other.

You forgot about Faraaz. Tonight he was seen being hugged goodnight by Rachel who said she was his ‘Traitors mum’. Perhaps he’ll realise that she is actually a ‘Traitor mum’.

Sam comes across so well on Uncloaked; I think he was given the villain edit in the main show. I would have liked to have seen him as a traitor I think.

Was thinking the same .

Daygloboo · 15/01/2026 23:44

But Rachel is so convincing. If I was in there i would completely trust her.

I think some have suspicions about Rachel but no one wants to stick neck out unbacked up, Adam felt this way.

HoratioBum · 16/01/2026 05:49

It’s incredibly irritating that no one, including Harriet, for all her supposed intelligence, has used the fact that Fiona accused Rachel of being a traitor.

Not one person seems to have looked at Fiona and Rachel’s spat and thought… hang on a minute, that was a known traitor accusing someone…

Instead they are examining micro expressions and giving credence to bullshit theories expounded by the second person to be murdered - who was wrong in their theory anyway… it’s sheer luck that Jessie has hit on Stephen, all the tiny bits of evidence she has are nothing beside the towering pile of massive arrows pointing at Rachel.

They’ve tried to shoehorn too much into this series and it’s all the shitter for it, in my opinion. The secret traitor, the connections which seem to have petered out, the family tree which no- one is mentioning any more, the twists like asking the traitors questions which was largely pointless because they would lie… it all feels like the production team are making it up as they go along, which is disappointing as obviously this will have been planned out meticulously.

I do enjoy watching it but they really need to address the fact that in almost every series the people who end up in the final are the blandest or most daft, and as such not deserving of a win just because they’ve kept their trap shut for two weeks. It’s a shame, but I don’t know how you change that gameplay dynamic.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 16/01/2026 06:02

annoying that Faraz and Adam didnt have much air time
yesterday's uncloaked and the actor programme were both a bit dull

I thought she said “you’re my traitor son.” Not “I’m your traitor mum.”

Fulmine · 15/01/2026 23:18

I'm getting slightly tired of Jessie's gaping open mouth whenever anything mildly unexpected happens. Surely she knows by now to expect surprises?

Yes, I am bored of her OTT pantomime behaviour at every tiny revelation, it's so cringe!
But when she's not doing that I think she's an astute player who is playing the game well by looking for sensible clues.

cloudtreecarpet · 16/01/2026 06:42

PuppyMonkey · 16/01/2026 06:11

I thought she said “you’re my traitor son.” Not “I’m your traitor mum.”

Yes, she did.

She said she was going to start something and do decided to suggest to him he was a traitor who was killing off the older players. So then she called him her "traitor son".

I don't think you can change that because it's a game play strategy that some will be using deliberately - staying below the radar in an attempt to get as near to the final as possible.
And it works each time so that's why people do it.

MrsLeonFarrell · 16/01/2026 07:05

Rachel and Stephen are successful for opposite reasons. Rachel doesn't overreact when accused, just looks amused and incredulous whereas Stephen is red and sweaty most of the time at round tables. They are both consistent and both well liked as far as i can tell. The faithfuls aren't working well together so anytime who suspects them is putting a lot on the line.

I think that the reason the Fiona accusation had been forgotten is because Fiona blew up the castle and made everyone uncomfortable whereas Rachel nicely calmed it down. People don't like that sort of unpleasant emotional drama, even on Traitors, so they naturally turn to the person who helped them feel better rather than the person who upset everyone.

Neighull · 16/01/2026 07:05

The traitors need to murder Jack, Ellie or Faraaz next because they won't hang themselves.

OR...roll the dice and murder Jessie. Unfortunately I think they kind of have to do this as she is not going to let the Stephen thing go and then ultimately she will turn on Rachel. Although shes a high risk murder Jessie really needs to go. So Stephen really needs to take a gamble on this IMO and hope that at breakfast a gaping mouth and "but why would I murder someone who so blatantly accused me?" double bluff works. I dont think he has a choice.

If I were Rachel I would be pushing Stephen to do this and then I would get Roxy under my wing and use her as my attack dog. Then vote Stephen out tomorrow "as a faithful".

Murder Faraaz as the brighter of the untouchable blands.

Next turn on James as someone innately suspicious in vibe who will hang himself at the round table: you could use the fact that he was so cosy with Jessie to question whether he had been manipulating her and setting her up for a fall all along.

As Rachel, I would take Jade all the way to the firepit and use her as the final "let's get rid of the last traitor" pawn as she does a shit job of defending herself and has been suspect all along.

Think Rachel should be aiming to win over Roxy and Ellie and have the 3 of them standing at the firepit to win.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 16/01/2026 07:07

rachel is the queen bee

i just saw snippet of marine on instagram calling fiona a typical boomer
but she is 62, so that has Really annoyed me
i hate the anti boomer rhetoric

RonnieOmelettes · 16/01/2026 07:15

If I was a faithful and I had worked out at this point that Rachel was a traitor, I wouldn’t be trying to convince people, I’d let faithfuls be voted out and then bring my evidence in the last round.

RonnieOmelettes · 16/01/2026 07:15

The last thing the faithful need at this point is a recruitment

Absolutely

pouletvous · 16/01/2026 07:22

It would be great if Rachel won. we havent seen a traitor go all the way through yet. Aside
from the celeb version

even better if 2 traitors go all
the way from
start to finish

Do you think if Stephen & Rachel did make it to the end and win, they'd split or steal?

I think they'd both steal and win nothing.

MakeTeaNotWar · 16/01/2026 07:24

@pouletvouswe did - S2 with Harry

H202too · 16/01/2026 07:30

I really don't want Rachel to win. Stephen I wouldn't mind.
Queen bees are annoying. It is infuriating that Harriet didn't focus more on the traitor on traitor.

Agree the faithfuls just haven’t or aren’t working together at all, allowing Rachel to manipulate them.
i don’t like her but she deserves to win
