Welcome to Thread 7 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

While we welcome posters discussing their theories and speculating on relationships/connections between players, please don’t post spoilers from elsewhere that may ruin things for those of us who like to see things unfold over the course of the series.

The story so far (as at end of Ep 6):

Traitors
Hugo
Rachel
Stephen
Fiona (Secret Traitor)

Murdered
Netty
Ben
Maz
Reece

Banished
Judy (Faithful)
Hugo (Traitor)
Ross (Faithful)
Amanda (Faithful)
Fiona (Traitor)

This thread is starting mid-way through Episode 7, so goodness only knows what is going to happen in the Round Table Showdown that is brewing.

The floor is yours…

Here with my two pennies worth, but anyone else get irked by Jessie’s hugely exasperated face at the breakfast table? Can she open her mouth any wider!

She's beginning to remind me of a Riddler from the old kids TV show.

CarminaBiryani · 15/01/2026 14:03

More secrets that could come out...Jack being a professional chess player.

He might come out with why the only player it could be is Stephen (implicated in the library five, the caged four, the family tree nine, and avoided murder in the shielded seven), check mate 🤣

Agree, there's a different vibe with contestants, and it only really seems to be with James, I can't imagine her hugging crew unasked.

She jumped on Jack and wrapped her legs around him when he released her from the cage. Maybe she can’t distinguish between any of the young men either.

Harriet didn't execute that very well at all at the round table...she'd been ace with Hugo.

I am surprised so many voted her off though. It was very arse over tit she didn't play it well with her suspicions she would have been better to garner support before hand. She should have mentioned Hugo as she led the charge on him to get him banished and he was a Traitor.

Can't stand Roxy at all.

That was utter cringe Rachel saying she had done an FBI course it was laughable. I find her very cold and not likeable at all.

Who will go tonight as they don't know who has shields....

I live Traitors but this series has not been the best they got rid of all the older people early doors which was a shame as I think that they would have brought more to the game.

Am not as hooked as last year.

I wonder how late they had her up into the early hours filming. She looks like someone who needs her sleep! So I think that tiredness, coupled with her obvious frustration when she got to the crypt and discovered it would be communication by note only, tipped her over the edge.

Did she really think she'd be able to 'speak' properly to the traitors, though? Surely no one would assume that? The gig would be up immediately.

LittleBitofBread · 15/01/2026 14:12

MrsLeonFarrell · 15/01/2026 12:57

Well done 9 year old!

It was strange that she didn't mention the one piece of "evidence" that might have helped, that she believed Fiona vs Rachel was traitor on traitor.

Yes, that was a pity, especially as Roxy (I think?) then said she thought Harriet vs Rachel was traitor on traitor.

LighthouseLED · 15/01/2026 13:02

I was assuming Jessie, actually, as she seems to be touchy-feely with quite a few of the other contestants.

I think Roxy. Or maybe Reece.

JaneJeffer · 15/01/2026 14:15

I keep thinking of Chicken Run when I’m watching Rachel.

I must admit that's why I rather hoped he'd turn out to be the secret traitor. I can't help feeling he'd have made a better job of it than Fiona, but who knows...

There's no incentive to keep them in though.

They are good at finding Traitors...but at some point it's less about finding Traitors and more about staying in the game. The odds of being recruited increase.

I like the idea of them being able to win things other than shields as they go, maybe it could be advantages like being able to ask someone if they are truly faithful and they can either respond yes or no comment, and either way neither of them can tell anyone.

Celiathebanshee · 15/01/2026 14:22

I cannot read 9 pages of this thread now, supposed to be at work! So apologies if this has been said, but had Harriet stuck with Rachel at the RT, I think Rachel would be in trouble today. But she massively diluted her argument by firing out all those names (why did she think there were so many traitors?) so I think Rachel is safe again.

And whoever's 9 year old upthread commented that none of Harriet's 'evidence' was actually evidence is being raised brilliantly so you can pat yourself on the back 😅

Celiathebanshee · 15/01/2026 14:23

Also: even Claudia is saying seduced now, rather than recruited. It was recruited in the previous seasons, wasn't it? Or am I going mad.

murasaki · 15/01/2026 14:25

Aren't they two different things? In that you can turn down a seduction but not a recruitment? Could be wrong though.

I think they tend to call the recruitment you can’t turn down blackmail

Bigly writing!

Accidental hash then space normally does it.

murasaki · 15/01/2026 14:46

Although mine there was intentional.... a random thing I learned on another thread. Even more shouty than caps!

From today's Popbitch email....

'Which contestant in this season's Traitors had to be told off for getting touchy-feely with crew members? Some of the crew complained when this outwardly sweet participant started to be weirdly physical with them.'

I'm wondering if it's Fiona?

My money's firmly on Jessie. She appeared to be actually sitting on James' lap (perhaps it wasn't James) at breakfast in yesterday's episode, for some unfathomable reason.

JaneJeffer · 15/01/2026 14:52

Are we going to get a slowed down breathy Traitors version of Sat In Your Lap on the soundtrack? The drums at the beginning would be mega!

MrsLargeEmbodied · 15/01/2026 05:45

i dont understand why they nearly ALL voted Harriet out, just daft
only heard Adam say it Cant be Harriet

She pretty much asked them to.

I assumed they were both the same thing: an invitation to join. There's no real choice though, you always get murdered if you don't. Even if they don't have to, they do.

True, Hobson's choice.
