Welcome to Thread 7 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

While we welcome posters discussing their theories and speculating on relationships/connections between players, please don’t post spoilers from elsewhere that may ruin things for those of us who like to see things unfold over the course of the series.

The story so far (as at end of Ep 6):

Traitors
Hugo
Rachel
Stephen
Fiona (Secret Traitor)

Murdered
Netty
Ben
Maz
Reece

Banished
Judy (Faithful)
Hugo (Traitor)
Ross (Faithful)
Amanda (Faithful)
Fiona (Traitor)

This thread is starting mid-way through Episode 7, so goodness only knows what is going to happen in the Round Table Showdown that is brewing.

The floor is yours…

I was thinking this, people would find nothing on me, no LinkedIn, Instagram or anything.

Some sleuth would turn something up! But def make it harder. These sort of shows probably do make you vulnerable to ‘haters’, stalkers & mentally unwell people. Do all have insta comments enabled?

And yet in Roxy vs Harriet where Harriet wouldn’t let her get a word in and was preventing Roxy from telling the group about the mirrors Roxy is judged “rude” and “aggressive” when Harriet was the slow handclapper. Young mixed race woman vs older posh white woman.

If you look at the Roxy/Jade/Ellie trio, Jade and Ellie are more supported than Roxy despite contributing next to nothing that we see, be that in tasks, RT or side discussions. Roxy is at least trying to play the game rather than cruise along on the efforts of others.

In that respect Rachel and Roxy have something in common - they are both actively trying to play their roles well and not sitting back letting someone else take the risks and do all the work.

I hate it when a cruiser wins, be they traitor or faithful let it be someone who made an actual contribution. As a secondary point I like it when the winner is someone for whom the money makes an actual difference.

I'd say it was Harriet who was judged rude and aggressive, by other players at least! And of course, it was Harriet who left ....

As I said last night, I think Harriet went scorched earth because she was done and wanted to get home. Dealing with so many numpties and that baffling men blend must've been so draining.

billysboy · 15/01/2026 12:22

so much conjecture and so much in the editing and what is presented to the public , same as strictly , the apprentice etc

Maybe Ellie is related to them all.

Is Ellie from a very privileged background her public school suggests? If not she was there on scholarship which points to smarts as does the PhD? Is Hugo an uncle?

One of them is 99p on Kindle.

I got one last week, but abandoned it before I got halfway through

Interesting point made by Harriet about Rachel wearing the wacky dungarees and looking like a children’s TV presenter. Then suddenly coming to the round table dressed like the new corporate manager who’s sole intention is to save the company money by firing all the hardworking, loyal staff whilst wishing them all the best, knowing full well that they will soon be leaving that company and moving onto another corporate role and ruining the lives of other staff there.
Why isn’t anyone putting 2 and 2 together and working out that both Fiona and Harriet have said Rachel is a traitor and both of them were faithfuls.
I’m also sure that Harriet named Steven as a traitor, maybe not at the round table but to other contestants.
I wouldn’t trust Matthew. I would insist he told me what he asked the traitors otherwise, I would think he is a traitor. Same with Rachel, I would ask her again what she asked the traitors as her wishy washy answers weren’t clear enough.
Team Jessie to win, with James, or maybe Adam who is growing on me. So too is Sam!

You’re right, Harriet did say something about Stephen. When Jessie kept naming Stephen, Harriet said something about needing to listen to Jessie and would be keeping an eye on him. So for Harriet not to name Stephen as a possible traitor at the end- well it just seems odd.

What school was she at, you’ve mentioned it a few times I’m nosy.

As I said last night, I think Harriet went scorched earth because she was done and wanted to get home. Dealing with so many numpties and that baffling men blend must've been so draining.

Also I think Harriet discovered that in real life the characters around you rarely behave in the way you want! Writing psychological thriller isn't the same as being good at reading people in real life.

MrsLeonFarrell · 15/01/2026 12:35

I'm just re watching last night's episode and it seems that Harriet got angry at the traitors' first answer. She then went after them based on her ego. When Roxy interrupted her nicely prepared speech at breakfast she just decided to burn everything down and her in it. Was it because she realised that she didn't have a much power as she thought she had?

Harriet on Uncloaked seemed far more in control and human. The stress of the castle obviously gets to everyone.

Hoolahoophop · 15/01/2026 12:39

I do think a lot of the theories around why would they questions can be put down to stress. People do daft things under pressure.

LighthouseLED · 15/01/2026 12:39

I agree she did, but I’m not entirely sure why. There didn’t seem anything in there that was really worth getting angry about, given the game.

Hoolahoophop · 15/01/2026 12:40

I have no idea why Rachel is so popular though, nothing in the editing shows her as more likeable than the others.

YouWillNeverGuessMyUsername · 15/01/2026 12:41

Isekaied · 15/01/2026 11:44

I thi k they need to get rid of Jessie ASAP.

No one will ever vote her off. And she doesn't seem to suspect Stephen anymore.

right now, she can stay in, she's off Stephen, because of Fiona and can happily stay until the end potentially - makes no odds. because the traitors won't be detected by her Same as Roxy

Dozer · 15/01/2026 12:42

I think ego seemed a factor in the behaviour and unpopularity of Judy, Fiona, Amanda and Harriet.

Roxy seems a bit like Lianne in some of her behaviours.

Later at breakfast she said she'd " had enough of the machinations around her". Maybe she felt she was being used or targeted in some way that we haven't seen in the edit? Maybe the intense atmosphere of the castle got to her and distorted things?

It was really odd what she said at breakfast and the angry aggressive way she spoke to everyone and then to Roxy didn't help her case.

It must be how she is with the other players in general. I agree we don't see much in the edit but, thinking about series 2 where Harry was incredibly popular, I don't recall seeing much evidence of either other than what others were saying.

LittleBitofBread · 15/01/2026 12:47

H202too · 15/01/2026 11:54

I am not a fan of Rachel. I find her annoying.

I really don't know how they weren't caught out with the family tree and murder in plain sight family tree. Wasn't it Jessie that said I will
leave you both alone. Then the finger prints appeared.

No, Reece.

I wonder how late they had her up into the early hours filming. She looks like someone who needs her sleep! So I think that tiredness, coupled with her obvious frustration when she got to the crypt and discovered it would be communication by note only, tipped her over the edge.

CurryTonite · 15/01/2026 12:49

I didn’t understand Harriet’s reasoning that if they voted her off and she said she was a faithful then they’d believe her about Rachel, but her being a faithful doesn’t mean she’s right and she really didn’t have much ‘evidence’. I’m not surprised she’s not working as a barrister anymore!

ScaredOfFlying · 15/01/2026 12:53

I was very proud of my 9 year-old last night when he listened carefully to what Harriet said and immediately commented “None of that is evidence, is it?”

The tiredness and the pressure definitely gets to some contestants. I was surprised it got to her. All she did was focus suspicion on herself.

From today's Popbitch email....

'Which contestant in this season's Traitors had to be told off for getting touchy-feely with crew members? Some of the crew complained when this outwardly sweet participant started to be weirdly physical with them.'

I'm wondering if it's Fiona?

Well done 9 year old!

It was strange that she didn't mention the one piece of "evidence" that might have helped, that she believed Fiona vs Rachel was traitor on traitor.

Doubt it, they say whoever it is is "outwardly sweet".
