Welcome to Thread 7 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

While we welcome posters discussing their theories and speculating on relationships/connections between players, please don’t post spoilers from elsewhere that may ruin things for those of us who like to see things unfold over the course of the series.

The story so far (as at end of Ep 6):

Traitors
Hugo
Rachel
Stephen
Fiona (Secret Traitor)

Murdered
Netty
Ben
Maz
Reece

Banished
Judy (Faithful)
Hugo (Traitor)
Ross (Faithful)
Amanda (Faithful)
Fiona (Traitor)

This thread is starting mid-way through Episode 7, so goodness only knows what is going to happen in the Round Table Showdown that is brewing.

The floor is yours…

Did anyone notice Jessie hanging off James at breakfast. Then he was putting his arm around her as they left, before the camera swiftly cut. Definitely couple vibes.
Did he just take a shield for himself or because Jessie couldn't cope being in there without him? I like to think he had a higher purpose for shitting on his team mates!

Weren’t Jessie and Harriet really struggling to get back across the river while James was more focused on subtly getting the shield than making sure they were ok? I don’t think he can be so connected to Jessie if he cares so little about her.

Her Instagram says she’s a chartered psychologist, but I don’t know whether she actually works as a psychologist.

She’s a Dr from the top public girls boarding school in country. Poss Oxbridge or top Uni I think too, would fit. Interesting.

LilyFeather · 15/01/2026 00:30

This is starting to feel a bit staged to me. Like the producers are all over it and the game isn’t particularly authentic

Anyone else agree?

Do you reckon this is Rachel's "FBI training"?

https://jnbodylanguageacademy.com/

She's probably spoofing about doing even that. The faithfuls are stupid to even acknowledge this course which she has disclosed as if this 'top secret training' gives her the edge. She's openly said she lies in her real day to day life if it will benefit her.

randos · 15/01/2026 00:44

This episode really ruined the series for me. Theres not one left that I’m rooting for. Maybe Stephen, but with all the self absorbed faithfuls, it’s hardly surprising if he sails through. They were so eager to vote H out just because it meant they could stay longer- most of them didn’t suspect her.

Harriet was clearly good at reading people as she was correct about Hugo, Fiona, and Rachel. Her later (wrong) guesses about Roxy and Matty came when she was more emotional and were influenced by their defence of Rachel. She’s clever, and I liked her in this, but I don’t think she realises the game is more about staying in the longest and being strategic with your suspicions. At this stage, it’s not about getting a traitor out (they just get replaced anyway). I doubt she’s listened to the podcasts about Traitors or even watched previous seasons. If she had, her ‘evidence’ would have shown that- she could have leaned on the ‘traitor on traitor ’ more. Once she revealed her secret and suspicions to the traitors, I knew her game was over. They already hold so much power- why give them additional information? She wasn’t thinking endgame, just wanted to prove her suspicion is right. It seemed like she had a very difficult last night and last day. Her prize felt like anything but a reward, which is why she wanted to pass on Roxy (whom I find quite unpleasant). It's hard for us to imagine what it feels like to know someone is lying to you while everyone else believes and likes them. I understand her anger by the end, they’ve spent a lot of time together by now and it’s hard to not it personally.

I’m not enjoying watching the other faithfuls. They seem to be just trying to coast through without contributing much. It feels like pure luck at this point. They were so focused on Stephen last time and now all suspicion has evaporated. They witnessed a traitor call out another traitor in a blatant, unprecedented way, yet by the next round table, they had forgotten all about the shouting in the kitchen and there was no suspicion left, even when someone who caught two traitors previously insisted that R was definitely a traitor.

Their arguments about who stole the shield are just silly. Why does it matter if you’re faithful? Revealing names only plays into the traitors' hands. And the traitors deciding to go for a murder even with a 33% chance of the victim not being protected?

Im not sure I’ll keep watching. Theres just something missing to make this exciting for me now.

Totally agree. On this thread also. Women - outspoken! Older! Fck me they’re all witches!

Look back and see how positive posts were about Harriet when she took Hugo down.
And how excited everyone was to see what she was going to ask the traitors. Her age and sex didn't change overnight, it was her extraordinary anger and rudeness that took everyone by surprise in tonight's episode. Negative posts have been in response to negative attitudes and behaviour. Not because she's a woman over 50 speaking her mind. I'm a woman and older than both Fiona snd Harriet and feel so frustrated by them as individuals not because of their age snd sex.

No.
The skill is in the selection of players and the set up of the game. The missions etc stir the pot. And then the editing.
Its a prize game so there legally can't be any direct interference or influence in the game

Maggiethecat · 15/01/2026 00:57

SwedishEdith · 15/01/2026 00:16

I was half surprised she was voted off because I'd have wanted to digest what she said and compare notes with some of the others, or her, first. But, she was clearly so obnoxious in the morning, many had already decided they didn't like her any more.

Cos they’re not playing with their heads.
I would have taken a punt on her being faithful solely on how she brought Hugo down early on. I’ve not watched previous seasons but has there ever been a traitor bringing down a fellow traitor so early and if so how did it play out for them?

Oneforallandallforone · 15/01/2026 01:32

And the traitors deciding to go for a murder even with a 33% chance of the victim not being protected?

To me this is a further indication of how thick the remaining faithfuls are. The traitiors can take a big gamble because they know they can easily confuse and lead the faithfuls.

The smarter faithfuls are always the first to go. The winning strategy is just to put your head down and coast. This is almost guaranteed to let you go through to the end. Of course there will be fall people. In this series, Sam and Jade. Jade is playing the same game as the others as its easier for them to just rinse and repeat the same name instead of coming up with some sort of plan to oust another name which will just have them banished.

Having so many weak faithfuls this year is really dull though. I watch it on the iplayer so I can skip the tasks and move it on when they are arguing between themselves. I have never done this with any other Traitor series.

Didn't H in Line of Duty make that spelling mistake? 🤔👀

H = Harriet Shock I knew it wasn’t Buckells!

I’d like Faraaz to win. He’s such a happy little bunny.

FishfingerFlinger · 15/01/2026 03:45

I’ve just listened to both the uncloaked episodes (thanks insomnia) and Harriet comes across very well - very reflective and intelligent.

I think she did rather crack under the pressure, which is quite surprising given her former job (though maybe it’s her former job for a reason!) but she was quite reflective on that and why she went kamikaze.

I think it makes sense (given she’s wealthy and given her legal background) that she was more interested in being right than winning - she’d taken a big risk on Hugo earlier which paid off and probably thought she could do the same again. I think if she had kept her powder dry until the round table she might have managed it but going all guns blazing at breakfast meant Rachel had a chance to play the social game ahead of the round table and reinforce her position.

I think you can see the difference in their careers - being a barrister is working in isolation and prosecuting an argument. Working in comms is still about influencing but it’s much more relational.

FishfingerFlinger · 15/01/2026 03:49

Also what I find amazing is that no-one is suspicious of Stephen because he has the most ridiculously readable face! I absolutely love him, he’s adorable and pretty smart but his every emotion there to see!

Alltheunreadbooks · 15/01/2026 03:50

Amanda, Fiona and Harriet.

Either it's weird editing or they managed to find three incredibly arrogant , unpleasant women of a certain age.

Nearly switched off last night, Harriet had obviously lost the plot ..it's a bloody game. No need to be so vile and angry.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 15/01/2026 05:45

i dont understand why they nearly ALL voted Harriet out, just daft
only heard Adam say it Cant be Harriet

MrsLargeEmbodied · 15/01/2026 05:46

i thought Harriet came across really well on Uncloaked.

Maggiethecat · 15/01/2026 00:25

Well, from a faithful pov, with all of that analytical training on micro expressions and body language she should be flushing out the traitors at speed!

I wish one of the Faithful had said that at the RT: “Better ask for your money back Rachel because that training course hasn’t helped us flush out the Traitors has it?” For me, it makes her look more untrustworthy, not less.

I hope she’s out by the end of the week.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 15/01/2026 06:08

oh Ed mentioned the pairs tonight for once

H = Harriet Shock I knew it wasn’t Buckells!

Brilliant!

Think Ellie is going to win. She’s not in it much. From what I’ve observed, in my own FBI training (as pp said, all the FBI franchise programs 😁), the production concentrates on traitors and who goes out soonest. Think next will be Roxy.

But I’d love to know what riled Harriet. Will have to rewatch, but Claudia was looking at the floor a lot when at the RT. I don’t think she does usually? Or my FBI training is shit and I’m wrong.

I don’t see it like that - I saw it as the lads stayed to carry the statue, sending Jessie and Harriet back empty-handed and able to cling on to the rope.

PuppyMonkey · 15/01/2026 06:43

I really hope the murder works - there’s still too bloody many of them in the show, time to get the numbers down.

NewAgeNewMe · 15/01/2026 06:45

5 more episodes. Five in the final episode I think if going on past series? I can’t even remember how many people are left 😳

YouWillNeverGuessMyUsername · 15/01/2026 06:47

FishfingerFlinger · 15/01/2026 03:49

Because he's so well liked - that's how to win the game.

He could literally say "when i.was in the turret" or go "me and the Traitor" and they'd STILL not get rid of him lol.

Just look at Alan Carr!
