Welcome to Thread 7 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

While we welcome posters discussing their theories and speculating on relationships/connections between players, please don’t post spoilers from elsewhere that may ruin things for those of us who like to see things unfold over the course of the series.

The story so far (as at end of Ep 6):

Traitors
Hugo
Rachel
Stephen
Fiona (Secret Traitor)

Murdered
Netty
Ben
Maz
Reece

Banished
Judy (Faithful)
Hugo (Traitor)
Ross (Faithful)
Amanda (Faithful)
Fiona (Traitor)

This thread is starting mid-way through Episode 7, so goodness only knows what is going to happen in the Round Table Showdown that is brewing.

The floor is yours…

I guess that in real life it's much less cohesive , much longer and more rambling, and there are millions of ways to edit it. There have been a number of reality elimination shows where the producers originally intended to tell one story and then something unexpected happened and they had to rework the narrative and the "characters".

The shields exist as much to add drama to the game as to restrict Traitors. People looking guilty or not and changing their status among people based on what they will and won't do to get one. High drama when it transpired that so many people took shields that it docked £7k from the pot, and David Tennant had secretly taken one. Messes up the team/every player for themselves dynamic.

David Tennant 😂

He was brilliant, wasn’t he?

He was... so maybe he'll start to believe he doesn't need Rachel after all.....M'wah hahaha

WolfinSheepsDress · 14/01/2026 23:29

@beasmithwentworth totally agree ,I can't stand Rachel but Stephen is a real character

ContentedAlpaca · 14/01/2026 23:29

WonderfulSmith · 14/01/2026 23:27

Stephen really came into his own in the turret working out who they could kill.

I thought he was great. We don't know that he hasn't done that before and just been edited out.

ThatCyanCat · 14/01/2026 23:30

ScaredOfFlying · 14/01/2026 23:27

They all have a WhatsApp group! You seriously think they only talk about what has been broadcast?

I assumed there were NDAs in place. Seems the best way to prevent any of them from spoiling the ending if hardly any of them know it. I might be wrong.

Ye's all so fickle 🤣

Just changing my mind when I have more info at hand

Maggiethecat · 14/01/2026 23:29

David Tennant 😂

Well, that's who it is, right?

If he does have another name, I can't remember it. Who's the guy in the green jumper? I don't remember him at all.

TheGreenBow · 14/01/2026 23:31

I’m convinced Stephen’s wide-eyed shocked look is the same image cut into the turret scene every time they chat, just for effect!

Boilingfrogatprimaryschool · 14/01/2026 23:31

Did anyone notice Jessie hanging off James at breakfast. Then he was putting his arm around her as they left, before the camera swiftly cut. Definitely couple vibes.
Did he just take a shield for himself or because Jessie couldn't cope being in there without him? I like to think he had a higher purpose for shitting on his team mates!

I think he made a mistake. Rachel thought she was leading them and he just showed how calcuating he is. He shouldn't have shown this side to Rachel until the firepit......

He is now officially ‘David’

Roxy tonight has really put me off her, Harriet shouldn’t have spoken to her like that but she kept inserting herself into it unnecessarily

At breakfast she was simply asking questions and giving her views, which is what she's there for. She's not inserting herself unnecessarily, and Harriet short herself in the foot by being so rude to her.

I cannot WAIT for the post-show montage. What song would they play over it? Billy Joel's An Innocent Man?

David Tennant is James
Ghost hunter is Adam
Gen Z pirate is Jack
Father Dougle is Matthew

BeaLola · 14/01/2026 23:33

Stephen survived all the early heat bring one of the 5 in the library when Ben made his comment and Jesse had thought of him as a Traitor for so long but now doesn't mention it at all

The " I had FBI training " so I'm so good at spotting the micro expressions that I voted for Ross 😂

At one point tonight I had convinced myself that if you buy into the theory that others are connected somehow to another player perhaps it's Matty connected to Rachel or Stephen, will get recruited & then they will throw the other non connected Traitor under the bus

I would have murdered Roxy for being annoying - harsh but I don't warm to her , Ellie us playing a good bland game - dont reveal your a psychologist or you will be next

No she tried to control things and as usual she got things wrong. Her problem is she doesn't listen and she doesn't hear what other people are saying. She's such a useless faithful, we were all convinced she was the ST!

This is a 'friend of a friend' level - but DH works with someone who knows someone who has been on the show and I heard they have DNAs and can get sued for 100,000GBP for breaching it - on the basis that any leaked info it could be used for insider gambling.

Imagine Rachel posting about the winner on the class WhatsApp by mistake😂

I agree. Roxy is annoying and I can't warm to her either. I presume Ellie's game is to do nothing, follow the herd, get it wrong and end up at the firepit and potentially win money. She adds nothing to the viewer's enjoyment of the prog. though....

Maggiethecat · 14/01/2026 23:44

Roxy has zero self awareness and must be a bit narcissistic to have thought she was the most likeable player, said it with such seriousness too 😵‍💫

Even funnier now she’s been absolutely savaged by Harriet and JESSIE (who was voted the most likeable) all but told her to shut up. Absolute scenes. 😂 what a muppet.

PinkPanther57 · 14/01/2026 23:49

I think Ellie wins it! Taps nose…She’s ex top public girls school in country, or one of them. Didn’t have her pegged as top 1 percent elite/privileged type. If scholarship very, very bright.

WeNeedToTalkAboutIT · 14/01/2026 23:52

WriterofWrongs · 14/01/2026 20:56

I’ve said it before but she absolutely doesn’t need the money.

Harriet earns a decent wage as a writer (comparatively).

Her husband is the head of futures trading for Nomura.

She was never interested in being there at the end, she wanted to make a splash and highlight herself. Her “kamikaze” move is performative.

Edited

Seriously, do any writers earn a decent wage?! 😅

It really is the kind of thing that you wait for others to say, even if you think it's true. After all, everyone wants to get the question right and if you really are the most liked, it seems unlikely that nobody will suggest it!
