Welcome to Thread 7 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

While we welcome posters discussing their theories and speculating on relationships/connections between players, please don’t post spoilers from elsewhere that may ruin things for those of us who like to see things unfold over the course of the series.

The story so far (as at end of Ep 6):

Traitors
Hugo
Rachel
Stephen
Fiona (Secret Traitor)

Murdered
Netty
Ben
Maz
Reece

Banished
Judy (Faithful)
Hugo (Traitor)
Ross (Faithful)
Amanda (Faithful)
Fiona (Traitor)

This thread is starting mid-way through Episode 7, so goodness only knows what is going to happen in the Round Table Showdown that is brewing.

The floor is yours…

@Hungrycaterpillarsmummy agree I was really frustrated when she threw those other names in!

beasmithwentworth · 14/01/2026 23:15

@Allthatwegotisthispalebluedot

Totally agreed re Harriet’s books. I read a lot of ‘those’ books too and really enjoyed Blood Orange. All her books since have been disappointing haven’t they?

PinkPanther57 · 14/01/2026 23:15

Will Harriet know the outcome of whole show by now?

CarminaBiryani · 14/01/2026 23:16

WolfinSheepsDress · 14/01/2026 23:01

Whose going to top the next big reveal ?
" I'm ax mi5 agent ", " I'm trained by the CIA "??

Ellie might have a pop - being a psychologist.

sorryIdidntmeanto · 14/01/2026 23:17

The shields annoy me. What is the point of trying to work out the traitors based on who they kill, if they can't choose who they kill?

Much hate for Harriet here. Just a day ago it felt like she was the people's hero. I'm not sure who I want to win now, maybe Sam? It feels like we are left with many young men.

Neighull · 14/01/2026 23:18

I kinda fancy James 🫠🫠

ThatCyanCat · 14/01/2026 23:18

Obviously I know Rachel is a Traitor but when she was giving her false account of her supposed conversation with the Traitors, she was looking upwards so much. It was impossible not to notice and just looked so incredibly suss, as my kids would say. Had she even thought of what to say ahead of time? She must have expected to be asked.

If I were a Faithful, I'd now want out everyone Harriet suspected. Might not leave enough opportunity to figure out Stephen in time, though.

I’ve gone from disliking Sam to he’s up there with my faves now

You clearly weren’t listening to the podcast properly. What Richard and Marina were discussing was the fact that the scheduled publication date for Harriet’s new book was a full MONTH after the last episode of Traitors and Richard was saying he could not understand why they didn’t bring it forward to coincide with the finale as a that would maximise sales. Wait a month and many have lost interest. Marina wondered if maybe the NDA prevented Harriet from even telling her publisher she’d been on the show but Richard explained that plenty of people knew before broadcast that she had been on it.

Maybe her and her publisher have deliberately put some space between the series and the publication date to avoid being accused of 'cashing in'.
They almost certainly would have been under scrutiny if they had chosen to coincide a publicity campaign with the ending of one of them most talked about programs on TV.

The shields exist as much to add drama to the game as to restrict Traitors. People looking guilty or not and changing their status among people based on what they will and won't do to get one. High drama when it transpired that so many people took shields that it docked £7k from the pot, and David Tennant had secretly taken one. Messes up the team/every player for themselves dynamic.

LancashireButterPie · 14/01/2026 23:21

I think I'm going to stop watching. Rachel Winds me up so much. So smug. I can't stand her.

‘I worked for C&A’.

fairydust11 · 14/01/2026 23:22

Just caught up with tonight’s episode! Certainly wasn’t expecting that outcome before watching! I have a feeling they will successfully murder Adam. Plus Roxy and Stephen I think are more likely to be banished before Rachel. Her FBI training has worked a treat! None of the remaining faithful suspect her at all, even after everything Harriet has said.

PinkPanther57 · 14/01/2026 23:15

I don't think so. After they leave they get told who the Traitors are but I don't think they see the game past the point where they left.

I am actually starting to think that Stephen will throw Rachel under the bus in a twist that we never saw coming.

Oh I think they will both throw each other under the bus!

Another benefit of the shields intentional or not is that it might disrupt the quite boring dynamic where near the end of the show they basically have the shows most boring loyal faithfuls left who are looking at each other going I don't know why I'm still here, why have the Traitors kept me.

Plus the Traitors obviously who they haven't figured out and are pals with 🤣

beasmithwentworth · 14/01/2026 23:25

I do agree that Racheal is playing a brilliant game, and if the editing is to be believed she has had to work far harder and faster than most to get herself out of some very pressurised situations. In many ways she deserves to win, but I just can’t bring myself to hope she wins, and I normally want the Traitors to win.

I have firmly believed since the start that Rachael would stop at nothing (including actually murdering someone ) to ensure she wins and there has always been a sense of arrogance that I haven’t been able to warm to.

It’s been good to see Stephen making more of a contribution and less flappy over the last couple of episodes. I do really like him. He’s the more likeable traitor IMO and as viewers some people just come across as more likeable/ decent human beings than others irrespective of whether they are a traitor or faithful.

Maggiethecat · 14/01/2026 23:25

And has no one clocked Rachel’s need for the big FBI reveal at the RT? Would they not consider this to be a desperate tactic to deflect heat off herself? And why would she do this and put herself on the traitors’ radar if she were indeed a faithful?

👏👏👏

I don’t think they’re clever enough.

You have people getting together a case that someone is a traitor, people seem to buy it and then at the round table someone goes “well X says ‘frog’ a lot and that’s what a traitor would say” then everyone goes along with it.

Stephen really came into his own in the turret working out who they could kill.

Edited

I agree too.

I feel like we see much less of the discussions between everyone so it’s hard to follow what everyone is thinking when so much must be edited out. I’m sure in other series we got to hear more of the chatting that goes on between everyone.
