Welcome to Thread 7 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

While we welcome posters discussing their theories and speculating on relationships/connections between players, please don’t post spoilers from elsewhere that may ruin things for those of us who like to see things unfold over the course of the series.

The story so far (as at end of Ep 6):

Traitors
Hugo
Rachel
Stephen
Fiona (Secret Traitor)

Murdered
Netty
Ben
Maz
Reece

Banished
Judy (Faithful)
Hugo (Traitor)
Ross (Faithful)
Amanda (Faithful)
Fiona (Traitor)

This thread is starting mid-way through Episode 7, so goodness only knows what is going to happen in the Round Table Showdown that is brewing.

The floor is yours…

I think Stephen will make it to the final. He’s Alan Carr no.2. I actually think he may end up throwing Rachel under the bus. Surely at some point they are going to have to give some thought to the fact she could be a traitor?

Rachel has such amazing hair and I love how she styles it. She’s a savvy player but I think her luck might be running out.

I know I could try and look it up but what is the guy with the Meet Me at McDonalds haircut called… I think I know Sam, James and Matthew now, And Adam. It’s on the tip of my tongue…

Jack?

She wanted the Faithfuls to win, not herself individually. She was going to donate any winnings she got to a breast cancer charity in memory of her best friend who died a couple of years ago.

That’s my friends sister ☹️

Nah, writers don't necessarily check before posting. Bit of a busman's holiday for one thing.

Also, a crime writer wanting to conceal their identity would absolutely make a deliberate mistake, or not write in their normal style, in order to throw people off the scent.

Wink

Ah but that's what they want you to think

😁

Which one of these categories did Hugo fall into?

And Reece??

Seasidewalker · 14/01/2026 22:36

Oh blimey I'm so far behind in the threads, only just finished watching the episode. Harriet blew that!

Short hair, curly perm on top, glasses. That’s Jack.

Ross from S2 doppelganger

Itwasallyellow2 · 14/01/2026 22:39

Harriet said something about “you’re not going to make a fool out of me” in the confessional. Directed to Rachel or the production team or both?

I love Rachel, and have done from the start! But I fear you are probably right about her luck running out now ….

Elsbetka · 14/01/2026 22:43

I think one of the problems with the whole Traitors concept is that as the series (and franchises) pile up, a) viewers get wise to the editing, b) viewers start to find it more inconceivable that contestants don't seem to learn any tactics from previous series, c) viewers want more novelty, and paradoxically, the more the producers diverge from the original formula the more frustrating it gets.

I will of course obvs still watch the next twenty series.

ThatCyanCat · 14/01/2026 22:44

Just caught up.

What was she thinking?? Why didn't she try to do a Jaz?

I would have suspected her too. Generally, people who do big performative things in front of the group are Traitors. Like Rachel telling everyone about being confided in and then Fiona's ridiculousness. But then this is just more proof that it's so hard to tell when people are lying, and innocent people can act in ways that look suspicious. Quite the exercise in how gut instincts can so often be completely wrong.

Agree with PPs that Harriet, having done well at frightening the traitors, messed up at breakfast and from then onwards, making herself thoroughly dislikeable!

If either Harriet or Fiona had handled it better Rachel could have been banished.

Wonder if Harriet’s anger in the church with her reaction to the traitors’ obvious response to her first question could have been down to ego. Similarly she might have been affronted that the other players didn’t simply respect her intelligence / authority! Similarities to Amanda’s attitude.

Stephen played it well today, eg sussing out where the faithfuls were at about Rachel and working through the traitors’ options in the turret. But his reaction to Claudia saying the traitors would be happy was worse than Linda’s turning her head when Claudia said ‘traitors’!

Don’t think Rachel can win now. even these dopey faithfuls, once it gets to the end, will have doubts.

Enjoyed the mini James / Sam / Adam drama with James’ sneakiness and the others’ annoyance!

Elsbetka · 14/01/2026 22:45

Sorry....and d) the more we seem to get contestants who fall into specific stereotypes (whether that's what the producers are aiming for or not - hello, GBBO!)

ThatCyanCat · 14/01/2026 22:45

And I don't think murdering is that risky. If everyone turns up the next day, it might mean they tried to get a shielded person or it might mean they recruited. Nobody is going to know.

Matthew is going to be on edge all day if everyone turns up - did they try and murder Jessie or did the recruit someone who isn’t him? That could lead to a noticeable change in behaviour and he already has heat on him.

I missed Essex and his ghost hunter equipment!
Was it during one of the episodes? When was this?

It was in the episode tonight! When Rachel & Stephen were discussing killing him. They did a cutaway shot of Adam in his hotel room with a ... contraption.

I might see if I can make a screenshot for you.

polyhymnia · 14/01/2026 22:48

Sorry to change the subject, but I really liked Claudia’s top with the ducks on at breakfast. Anyone know where it’s from?
