Welcome to Thread 7 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

While we welcome posters discussing their theories and speculating on relationships/connections between players, please don’t post spoilers from elsewhere that may ruin things for those of us who like to see things unfold over the course of the series.

This thread is starting mid-way through Episode 7, so goodness only knows what is going to happen in the Round Table Showdown that is brewing.

I am sure that the poster isn’t H. They wrote

Harriet would have written ‘I would definitely …’ it’s just a typo and easily missed, (I have done far worse) but a writer would check before posting.

Re the editing. I don't know why they don't extend the nightly shows to 90 minutes. The show's so popular I reckon it would sustain it.

It's feels far more edited than normal...but maybe that's because of the secret traitor, where the editing had to be done more than usual so as to make us wonder the secret traitor... Like putting in loads of red herrings with Sam's interview behaviour etc.
Made us all more aware it is edited to suit a narrative, rather than edited to tell the story of what went on. (If that makes sense???)

I do like the Essex builder. He looks so bemused most of the time!

I was astonished when she got the pincer movement correct going for Fiona !.that was an amazing celbral feat ! She nailed it !.
And hugo and then Rachel that's some intellect whereas Amanda had absolutely nothing.

Nah, writers don't necessarily check before posting. Bit of a busman's holiday for one thing.

Also, a crime writer wanting to conceal their identity would absolutely make a deliberate mistake, or not write in their normal style, in order to throw people off the scent.

Yes, I think particularly if it's the people you're closer to/ more comfortable with that have left. There were only two people over 50 left in the game after Amanda left, and by then most of the young ones have formed quite solid groups.

Agree. I think maybe she felt Rachel’s interests were being protected by the production team and she saw red when Rachel was one of the ‘smoke and mirrors’ trio. She might have felt that her and Matthew were being pitted against Rachel here and out of the three of them she was most likely to lose. It would be like your lying colleague being protected by the bosses at work while you, the honest one, gets thrown to the lions. She had seen Fiona go previously (traitor pitted against traitor) and now it’s her turn. I can relate to that.

The TV company want to make good television and I have no doubt that a few production manoeuvres have been implemented but only certain people would see through that manipulation while others (Roxy and Matthew for example) remain focused solely on themselves.

Because they are dim. Fiona, revealed as a traitor, wouldn’t have had to go so hard at Rachel calling her a liar to get her banished as a faithful. She would have simply pushed for her murder.
But a traitor can’t be murdered.
Have none of them really considered traitor on traitor there?!

I can’t wait for Roxy to find out Rachel is a traitor. Maybe if she crawled out of her arse for a second she’d be able to think clearer.

The shot of the Essex builder using his ghost hunting equipment was very funny.

Overall, I like Jessie a lot but I’m back to #TeamTraitor now that Fiona has gone. Rachel has played a blinder, she really deserves to be in the final.

Haven't read the thread but tonight was a good episode.
Stephen is showing himself to be much stronger and more strategic than I previously gave him credit for.
I think Harriet wanted out of the game. She couldn't win with with the combined stupidity of the remaining faithfuls. The faithfuls are a lost cause. Roxy is worse than terrible, Sam, the other males, Ellie - they are so useless. They don't deserve to win and unfortunately its the most useless and undeserving of them all that usually end up at the firepit.

Because that wouldn't hold people's attention! Especially when it gets to the end and there's just 5 of them being seasick and then trying to eat off their laps.

A little off topic, but dear me I laughed so much on Uncloaked when Maddie accidentally said to Clare Balding “ oh, no, you’re not a terrible liar” ! I think she was genuinely trying to be kind and reassuring and then blundered into a mistake. Bless her, I’d forgotten about how much I had enjoyed her on her series 😆

I wouldn’t want her representing me. She had the room at breakfast and she lost it by being rude.
she had the upper hand at the round table and ended up getting herself banished
she said she had evidence about Rachel she had Jack shit
and she said her being faithful would prove Rachel a traitor and it does nothing. How many of them have been convinced they knew. Just because Harriet has a hunch and she’s faithful means nothing.

To top it all off I went in to tonight hoping Jessie would win and Rachel would go. And Harriet has convinced me Rachel needs to win.

Perhaps it's survivor bias, truly good ones are helping get the crown court backlog down?
