Welcome to Thread 7 of Traitors 2026.

This thread runs at TV pace so do not read any further if you are not up to date with the live broadcast. Whilst most discussion will be on the current series, inevitably people will refer to previous series/players/winners so reader beware if you’ve not seen the 3 previous editions, or the celebrity version.

While we welcome posters discussing their theories and speculating on relationships/connections between players, please don’t post spoilers from elsewhere that may ruin things for those of us who like to see things unfold over the course of the series.

The story so far (as at end of Ep 6):

Traitors
Hugo
Rachel
Stephen
Fiona (Secret Traitor)

Murdered
Netty
Ben
Maz
Reece

Banished
Judy (Faithful)
Hugo (Traitor)
Ross (Faithful)
Amanda (Faithful)
Fiona (Traitor)

This thread is starting mid-way through Episode 7, so goodness only knows what is going to happen in the Round Table Showdown that is brewing.

The floor is yours…

I am sure that the poster isn’t H. They wrote

’ I would defiantly want her representing me if I ever needed a barrister and if she ever went back.’

Harriet would have written ‘I would definitely …’ it’s just a typo and easily missed, (I have done far worse) but a writer would check before posting.

Didn't H in Line of Duty make that spelling mistake? 🤔👀

Foxybyname · 14/01/2026 22:50

I'm not enjoying this series anywhere near as much as the other 3 (civilian versions!).
I think it's because I'm not rooting for any of them and they're all either extremely unlikeable - Rachel, Roxy, Sam - or as dull as ditch water - Ellie, Jade, the Interchangeables.

The best of a very bad bunch are Jessie, but she's gone quiet too ever since her name was being mentioned (annoyingly I can't remember who by now!) and Farooz.

Roxy really loves herself doesn't she. She's actually ruining it for me. I'm getting like Harriet, angry and unreasonable, every time Roxy is on the screen.

Also want to say @CaveMum 👏👏👏you have done an amazing job keeping up with these threads! Bravo. If there was a 'buy me a coffee' option, I would!

Sorry to change the subject, but I really liked Claudia’s top with the ducks on at breakfast. Anyone know where it’s from?

I think Harriet was disappointed her big reveal didn’t give her more traction- Roxy held her own very well against a trained professional. I also wonder if she’d always really planned to bowl out as she is a millionaire and can probably see others she’s now fond of would do more with the cash.

She was bloody rude to Roxy though- it’s breakfast not the Old Bailey

WolfinSheepsDress · 14/01/2026 22:53
  • it's not a typo I have no idea how to spell definitely
2026willbemyyear · 14/01/2026 22:53

Why didn’t Harriet continue playing how she had been after the confessional box? When she revealed her true identity (i.e ex-barrister), I thought that was a very smart move as only the traitors will know that information - which they obviously cannot spread around because otherwise it incriminates them. However, she could have used it as a tactic to try and catch them out and see if anyone acted differently to her, either supporting or not supporting her theories.

I was just so surprised at how she acted at breakfast. She definitely wanted to go home.

WolfinSheepsDress · 14/01/2026 22:53

I thought Roxy was really rude to her .

EdithBond · 14/01/2026 22:54

Itwasallyellow2 · 14/01/2026 22:10

Exactly. So why the sudden personality change? Fiona, too, a sudden personality change. What had Rachel (and her clique) said or done to cause this? There really isn’t smoke without fire and I don’t think the spurt of anger and hostility came from nowhere.

In Harriet’s case, her shouty outburst could well have been a menopause symptom. Pretty common.

Less likely with Fiona, given her age. I think she was just put out Amanda hadn’t adhered to the Coppers Code. And wrongly thought Rachel was pulling a fast one, as she blindsided the other Traitors with her Amanda revelation. Plus, Fiona seemed to fancy herself as a disrupter.

Roxy laughing anytime someone suggests Rachel as a traitor is really winding me up. Can’t wait for her to find out! 😈

Can’t stand Roxy

WolfinSheepsDress · 14/01/2026 22:55

Yes she's had enough and someone said ...a clever way to get out of the game at the round table !
I think she has even plotted her exit

Agreed. They’re all very unlikeable for the most part. I cannot stand Stephen and Rachel.

I do like Ellie and Jade, they seem nice, but not a lot of entertainment value. I liked Harried but she’s sacrificed herself now.

The problem for me is ‘show dont tell’. In S1, everyone was in tears constantly and you actually knew who was friends with who!

How am I supposed to be invested if I don’t know what alliances there are? Who these people even are?

I’ll still be watching to make sure Rachel and Steven dont win.

TheGreenBow · 14/01/2026 22:55

PinkPanther57 · 14/01/2026 21:28

Agree.

And I think it has to be something quite bad to result in that much anger. I still prefer Harriet out of the two of them but just wish she’d gone about things differently. We all had such high hopes about her next move didn’t we. Although it was so entertaining that I’m still stressed from watching it 🤣🤣

It’s like one of those choose your own adventure books where she picked a page to go to and it just ended up being the wrong one, Had she opted for a different page e.g turn to page 100 if you decide to keep Rachel close, we’d have had a very different game! I think there is a Traitors book out actually that’s a choose your own adventure 🤔Anyway just my musings. Sad she’s gone - I think she’s just a bit quirky and maybe the others didn’t see her as ‘cool’ as Rachel seems to be and hence was less popular and so less likely to be listened to.

I just got caught up on this thread and the episodes.
My notes are:

  1. I think they've chosen James who is shielded
  2. I absolutely cannot stand Roxy.
  3. I think Rachel's gig is up, maybe not tomorrow but Friday. 4)I think harriers Rat speech was A LOT longer than what was shown. 2 people mentioned how long it was yet for us, it was less than a minute. 5)They edited the bit where Roxy interrupted Harriet. The next scene was Roxy arms on her face all came but two second before was her flapping her arms about.
  4. they are all very stupid
  5. I wish they'd pick up on Rachel's flawed voting. And question her on her micro expression training by so far getting everything wrong. And also by being soooo desperate to win, she'd pay to go on a course. I can't stand her
PorridgeEater · 14/01/2026 22:57

What is it about Rachel that makes people completely lose it - first Fiona, now Harriet. Wonder what got edited out.
And are we supposed to believe she's an FBI agent??

Allthatwegotisthispalebluedot · 14/01/2026 22:58

The slow clap was just insane behaviour, and the anger seemed strangely misplaced for a tv show where people are picked at random to lie to each other. That’s the point of the game. And then saying there was ‘possibly four or five’ traitors in the game was just madness.

Harriet is not as clever as she thinks, because she’s forgotten that it’s a game. If Claudia had tapped her on the shoulder she’d be in the turret murdering with the best of them! Other players, like lovely Alexander from last series, managed to use strategy and logic and articulation skills but also keep his sense of humour and a bit of rational detachment from the game. Harriet just lost the fucking plot. It’s interesting because I liked her novel Blood Orange but think everything she’s put out since then has been absolutely unreadable bollocks (I read a lot of thriller/horror novels). A bit like her game in the traitors - brilliantly took down Hugo and then pissed it all up the wall.

Wheezygonzalez · 14/01/2026 22:58

murasaki · 14/01/2026 22:56

LOVE how the writer then exclaims they’ve forgotten Jack but actually they’ve forgotten Farooz! No mention of him at all!! 😂😂😂

WonderingAndOverthinking · 14/01/2026 22:59

I much prefer it when Ed interviews them straight after the castle and is there when they find out who the traitors are - why has the last couple of times been just them talking to the camera and opening the envelope?!

Why would an Irish person (what’s her job again?) have had training from a U.S. organisation? More like she’s watched a few YouTube videos on body language.

WolfinSheepsDress · 14/01/2026 23:00

@Itwasallyellow2 yes probably a good call

@butimamonstersaidthemonster she was like a fortune tellers ball on the pincer movement ! To get fiona !

She got Hugo and she got rachel.

CarminaBiryani · 14/01/2026 23:00

Loved Harriet in the confessional, not so much at breakfast, should have read the room better and stayed focused on Rachel.

Think Matty was the cat among the chickens 😂

I think there's enough inconsistency for suspicion on Rachel...so angry with Fiona, and not so much with Harriet? FBI training...but got Ross wrong, saying 'we ignore the obvious'?

However I dont feel like there's many strong alliances between the faithfuls, they don't seem to have formed many (other than blindly trusting Rachel), partly probably Rachel's influence (and people who Fiona shortlisted). So feels like the Traitors are still winning.

Kinda hope they tried to murder James, as he's got the shield.

I think it's like being bullied by the workplace bully. Management don't see, it's little and often so not enough to get the bully sacked. Ruins your day, every day.
