It's all happening in the street!

Todd continues to be abused and manipulated by nasty Theo.

Carla is being kept hostage by evil Undead Becky the Bay City Roller! Lisa (Swain) is pining for Carla who she thinks has gone away on holiday, (but Lisa still did the deed with Undead Becky!)

Nasty Ma Driscoll has been turfed out of The Rovers Return by her son Ben, after her horrible Christmas day stunt of revealing to everyone that Eva has had an abortion.

Will Driscoll is jealous of Daniel 'dating' his attractive older woman (well, she's around 28, but is still older compared to him as he is still at school! And to make things worse she is his sports coach!)

Costello has been beaten up and is still in hospital.

Tall Kit and Sarah Platt are still an item.

Shona is not far off having hers and David Platt's baby.

DeeDee's left the show after conveniently being offered a high flying lawyer job in Singapore!

Carl, the Chuckle Brother has been getting down and dirty with James Bailey (again!) whilst Abi is totally oblivious. She is also oblivious to the fact that Carl is trying to find a way to move away from her (abroad) even though Abi has left Kevin for him (and took her son too!) Some may say it serves her right! 😬

Evelyn has come back again - hopefully for good this time!

I have probably missed some stuff! But we can catch up later! :)

I have also already watched tonight's episode. (On ITVX.) It's an hour long one. (Well, 44 minutes without the ads!) I don't normally do this to be fair, but I've been on leave with it being Christmas!

It's a very good episode tonight! (IMO.) Will chat about it later when it's been aired!

About 6 months ago, when we had all the borstal boys and criminals and the vile Lou and Mick taking over everything, I was ready to bail I'm not gonna lie. 48-ish years of viewing, and I was getting sick of what it had become.

But..... it's got better. It still has a bit much crime, but there are other storylines too, and some funny moments, and it's beginning to resemble old Corrie/Classic Corrie a bit. So I'm sticking with it for now!

LOL, so true - some of them do. Audrey and Rita didn't (I don't think,) but yeah, they made Gail into a doddery simple old woman, at just 60 or so!!! Mary is annoying and dithery now. Lisa is a drip. Even Sarah is a simpering bore. Sarah used to be really feisty - and shouty when she was angry. It's like her spirit has been doused! Sally still seems fairly OK, but even she is a bit wet now and again.

I quite enjoyed last night's episode, once I'd fast forwarded through anything with Becky in it. Obviously Becky is going to die (again) at some point but we will still be left with Swain who is just as bad.

The Todd storyline is very well done, but I hope they aren't going to drag it out too long. Poor Billy, he's in the immediate firing line.

One thing which has improved since Eva & co arrived is that the Rovers does have some life about it now, there are frequently good scenes involving plenty of characters. It had really died a death in the previous couple of years.

So Carl is planning on leaving with a big stash of Debbie's cash. I hope Abi has got that away from him. Debbie's wedding should be eventful.

When the undead Becky saga is over, I do hope Carla doesn't go back to Lisa, who has behaved really badly over the whole thing, even sleeping with Becky.

Im hoping Peter is spending a few days in Emmerdale and Carla finds him there. Or something.

I couldn't help but notice tonight, that Becky and Debbie had that Godawful shiny face look that has been popular this past year. It's meant to be like Korean Glass Skin, but it looks awful on some people. Becky and Debbie looked like they were sweating profusely! 😬

I was wondering a couple of things about tonight's episode...

Has Carl already taken the money out of his account (that Abi was going to take...? £18,000 or so...)

And, what did Kevin see (on the black and white car park film footage?) Was it Carl? And what was he doing?
