When do we think they'll make the announcement? Do we think they know themselves yet? Do you think they'll keep us hanging on until the autumn? So many questions!

The cast announcements usually start late July so it will have to be before that. I wonder if they’ll use Claudia’s chat show as an announcement vehicle 🧐

I'm going to guess Jane Mcdonald and Alex Scott. I've based this on a scientific method of who is on the bbc news (short videos) on a random day (today). 😆

I don’t think so, it’s on too late. It will be on a prime time ‘family show’ like The One Show (not that I like The One Show) or a morning breakfast show.

she is dreadful on the one show(yes I watch it) maybe she is ok when talking about football, but thats it.

Is there some confusion between Alex Scott (football pundit, former international and former contestant with Neil) and Alex Jones (One Show, former contestant with James Jordan)?

Has anyone seen Nadia’s insta post? I wonder what she will be doing next in the strictly world? Perhaps a segment on ITT?

Also I’ve said from day dot that I want Mel and Sue to host 🙈

I would love it to be Mel and Sue. I think they would be great. Would also be happy with Zoe Ball and/or Rylan.

Oh god, please not Mel and Sue! I only started watching GBBO when they left, I think they are dreadful presenters!

I think Mel and/or Sue would be great in the Clauditorium, but am not convinced either of them has the chops to anchor the show.

Mel was great hosting the live show when I went.

Luba’s exit now confirmed. They seem to be announcing them one at a time, and looks like the press reports were correct.

She's been the one leaving I feel the most sorry for, since she did definitely deserve another chance, but I don't think she's coming across very well. Dropping out of pro tour last minute was already a risky move career-wise (although I get why she did), but this interview was not a good move

Going on about how you're the most professional of all pros yet making weird digs at the other pros. And bringing up Robin was so unneccessary, like I doubt she even knew him personally. It feels icky.

She may be burning quite a few bridges at this rate

There are now reports that Miranda Hart is ‘in talks’ to be one of the hosts.

She showed up once to support her friend who was actually in Strictly, made it all about herself and was never seen again. I don't know what she would bring?

It’s well known that Miranda Hart loves Strictly. I can’t see her hosting without being seriously annoying and has too big of a ME ME ME attitude to be good at Claudia’s job

Does anyone think they might completely shake things up and have multiple presenters? Maybe 3 or 4? I can see the possibility of 3. I think if they keep it to two, there are going to be massive comparisons to Tess and Claudia but if they introduce 3 it gives a fresh new dynamic to the show. It takes two started with one presenter then moved to two - though that was different circumstances.

I have been thinking they might have a series long audition for the Clauditorium. When Richard Osman left Pointless he wasn’t replaced. Instead a number of different celebs have done the role for several weeks’ shows each. Some have come back and some haven’t. Sally Lyndsey was dreadful and monotone although I think she might have been the first after Richard so big shoes to fill. I recall Ed Gamble being really good at it.

Anyway they could fill the Tess role with a solid live TV host and then have several Clauditotium hosts rotating each week for the series possibly with two sharing it for the later weeks. Then for the 2027 show they can sign the best. Or even keep the rotating clauditorium hosts.

They could decouple the two hosts a bit and have a main host and a behind the scenes/clauditorium host.

I think this is a great idea!

I like the idea of one solid anchor (as long as it’s not Miranda or Bradley Walsh) and rotating hosts in the clauditorium too. I’ve also always liked the idea of three regular judges and a guest judge every week, ie someone currently from the dance world not known to the general public, or an ex pro.

They wouldn't have unknowns though. If they had guest judges it would be unqualified celebs.
