Oooooohh This also fits in with the pocket watch that Henry has. The pocket watch the white rabbit had in Alice in Wonderland, which signifies children becoming adults and the passage of time.

I thought Robin was less annoying than in season 4 where the writers definitely did a dirty on her character which was sharp and funny in season 3.

I thought the same re Eleven killing guards willy nilly, she is dangerous like all the kids with superpowers were/are 🤷‍♀️ there’s no way she can integrate into normal life as every time anyone upsets her she’ll break their arm or send them across the room 😬

Loved it, keep remembering bits and their 80s movie references. Laughed out loud at the home alone stuff. One I feel like I've seen before but can't place iss when Vecnas fingers go right through the soldiers head eyes. I thought it looked Edward Scissorhands ish but that wasn't gory? Freddie Kruger?

that was a gruesome scene - much more so than the others that were fairly tame!

That was giving me Groot vibes the way the tendrils went straight through his face. But Freddie Kruger is the obvious true inspiration! (But I’m not a horror movie fan. If his nails went though someone’s eyes that’s for the win)

I’d say Terminator 2, I know it’s not 80s though.
i also laughed out loud at the ‘home alone’ scene, its otherwise a dark watch.

The play in this season links to the First Shadow play that is currently on in London and New York.

I think there’s potential here for Eleven, Vecna and 8 having to team up to take Will out.

Eleven (11) + Vecna (1) + 8 =20

20 is a significant number in D&D

Or Eleven, Vecna and 8 team up to battle a demon above Vecna and free Vecna from his childhood pain and demons

I am wondering if there is going to be some element of time travel due to the talk of wormholes and foreshadowing from the book Holly was reading (A wrinkle in time).

I do wish they would put a recording of the stage show on Netflix, DS and DH have seen it but I haven't. I thought it was going to offer slightly more of an insight to early Henry but I wonder if it's a bit more than slightly! DS has given me the outline (he loved it) but it would be good to see myself.

The Max/Holly connection - is Max also a reference to the guardian character Mike was telling Holly about when he gave her the D&D figurine she has on her neck? So Max is going to be her guardian in the upside down?

It was really bugging me why El's outfit looked so familiar until I saw everyone saying it's Bran's from The Goonies.

Vecna really reminded me of Groot in the last episode I loved all the references to other things like Holly's clothes, Harry Potter/Voldemort and Will/Vecna and I thought Vecna raising his arms and the monsters getting back up was very Night king.

I was glad to see Erica back, "And I told you to eat your damned pie!" While holding that syringe was brilliant. She's such a little psycho 😂

I thought it was great. If it had to be left, it was a satisfying place to leave it!

I loved will getting his powers, and Mike for encouraging him. I've not enjoyed mike's character for a while and he's back 😆.

Max turning up in the memory palace was a gasp out loud moment!

I knew it would be 8 though.
