I want to know why Glenda looks quite grotesque lately. She used to look very voluptuous and feminine, now she is appearing like a badly dressed and made up drag act! She looked awful in tonights episode!

Far too much Lisa/Becky drivel (it's always too much but tonight's went way too far 🤮) and I'm probably wrong but I thought when Lisa began apologising to Carla she was on the brink of confessing she'd just done the dirty with Becky.

I have missed 2 episodes so thank goodness for this thread! Hoping for another excellent Corrie Christmas.

My DH doesn’t even watch Corrie, he buggers off to another room when I put it on but last night he walked in on a Carla/Swain scene, took a deep sigh and said “I am bored shitless of this pair now!” 😂

I have a similar corrie critical husband. He doesn't actively watch but likes to complain about falling standards.

In despair at how much Becky/Swain/Carla we're being subjected to.

It's just the same old garbage on a dreary loop. I don't care about any of it. It's a ridiculous storyline, and isnt even going anywhere.

I wish they'd all bugger off to Spain never to be seen again. Except, maybe, Carla, who can come back and reunite with Peter.

Just as a warning I have seen some fairly big spoilers for Christmas on my Facebook feed this morning. Someone has seen filming, taken photos and posted them.

I see where it's going with Theo supposedly charming Sarah but we should be able to see that charm as well, perhaps even be a little taken in by it, but, yet again, there's just no depth, no believability.

And it's too full on for Todd, he needs some relief, the times where he can sigh a big sigh and think thank God, it'll be okay now (... until the next time) but the reliefs are seconds long and he feels nothing but confusion. That storyline needs 'good' times to be at all credible.

😂at Glenda accusing Debalina Debbie of modelling herself on an early 90s Annie Lennox! I'm sure that's what she's been called on this thread before.

Also - by the time we're finally told what it was that Mrs Doyle spotted in Ken Barlow's sideboard, we'll have completely forgotten about it! 🙄

I thought last night's episode was dire! Far too much focus on Becky/ Swarla and Theo.
Guess these may be big Christmas/ New Year plots.

Just caught up with last night's episode! OMG - as many others are saying, I am pig sick of the Carla/Lisa/Becky storyline. What with Lisa blubbing her eyes out, at Carla leaving, but refusing to send Becky packing, because some 'big scary men are out to get her.' 🙄

She clearly still has some feelings for Becky (which in some ways is understandable,) and Becky can't help the way she feels I guess (wanting her family back!) but it's just getting ridiculous now. Lisa needs to make a choice. How long did Lisa think that Carla was going to tolerate this bullshit?! As I said on the last thread, no woman I know would have put up with this charade from their partner's ex. And they would NOT have had the ex partner living with them. As I said before too, Becky has a really good Ace card up her sleeve - in the form of Betsy.

Now Carla has walked out - I wish this could be the end of it now, and Lisa, Becky, and Betsy would just leave, and never come back. (Not gonna happen though is it? 🙄 I bet they will make us tolerate this for ages yet!)

Bit annoyed with Dev having a go at Asha's mates for 'not visiting Asha.' As Amy said they didn't know what to do or if they should etc. And did Dev say at any point, that they could/should visit her? No. I don't think he did.

Wonder where the Todd and Theo storyline is going next? Theo is trying to isolate Todd from Sarah now. (As well as George.)

Also laughed at the Annie Lennox line by Glenda. 😆

I fast forwarded most of the Becky scenes. She and Swain deserve each other.

Asha told her friends not to contact her, when she changed her mind she should have got in touch with them, they aren't mind readers. Sounds like she needs more therapy.

Yet again a storyline we don't see - the choir. Nice scenes with Debs and Glenda though.

Fizz now happy to have Cassie as a convenient slave. Good thing she's back from the sex hotel, as Carla is on her way there.

The Theo storyline is over played. He is just too evil too soon and as @NebulousSadTimes said he is completely charmless.

Just caught up with last night's. I laughed when Carla described undead Becky as 'the spiky haired spectre at the feast'.

Theo now encouraging Todd to look for a job where he would work from home. Further alienating him from contact with the outside world.

I liked last night's episode.

Carla seemed more like her old self, making fun of Swain's detectiving and telling her she was completely blind to what was going on
