Asha took an overdose, as she has been depressed and low, but she's OK (physically.) Recently been attacked by a horrible racist woman who seems to have got away with it thus far!

Brody - Kit's son - is starting to become 'nice,' like (nearly) all the bad kids do!

Tim has just met up with a woman he knew from years ago... An ex flame I think. Sally is not happy!

Jenny has left!

Bethany is back! Lost her journo job. Again!

Todd is still in a bad, toxic relationship with Theo! Lego hair.

Lisa Swain's deceased wife Becky has risen from the grave! Threatening Lisa and Carla's relationship.

Kev's brother Carl enjoys having sex - with anyone really. Abi believes that Carl loves her. He doesn't!

Tyrone's not having a good time lately! He's in a bad way after being hit by a car.

Probably some more stuff going on that I've missed.

💯 I think the script writers don’t know where the ridiculous storyline is going hence dragging out the same boring conversations each episode ! Pleasssse let Becky undead cross the wrath of Tracey luv who clobbers her over the head with a hammer ! Btw where’s Todd and Ken doll not seen them recently!

Corrie writer Jen McVerry revealed that she was "so angry about" Becky's return when it was first pitched, describing it as a "grenade".

She explained how the decision was made, recalling "a lot of arguments" as it was "really contentious around the [writers'] table."

If it was really contentious then why do it and bring her in? Becky has added nothing to the story apart from she wants Lisa and Betsy back

I did giggle the other night when Nick asked David if he was not even going to give a tip and David said "Never buy a mermaid a pair of tights" 😁

So many things nowadays come across as actively trying to implode. If they irritate enough viewers they will stop watching and the programme makers are then able to pull the programme they have destroyed whilst blaming viewers for not being loyal. And a couple of years down the line Channel 5 will make a programme about how it all went wrong for the sorely missed Corrie.

As soon as he said that that I thought, I bet that wasn’t in the script 😆😆

@NebulousSadTimes It would be a shame if that happened because it’s been on our screens for so long. Instead of pulling it off the schedule, they should ask the viewers what they want. I don’t know if you watch Classic Corrie but there are real laugh out loud moments and there are none in Corrie apart from David sometimes

The problem is that the scriptwriters mistake joke characters for comedy. Thus we are stuck with

Mary is Batty isn't it hilarious?

Gemma is crass isn't it hilarious?

I don’t mind Kirk in Classic but his character has been really dumbed down and has no purpose now with Craig gone. Does he even still work at underworld?

Same with Mary, she had such a lovely relationship with Aadi and Asha but I don’t remember her at the leaving party and I don’t think she’s been around for Asha’s storyline either

Regarding Gemma, I’m neutral about her but I guess my point is, Corrie needs these friendships and relationships to last. Like with Gail for example. Apart from her family mentioning her a few times, it’s like she doesn’t exist anymore. You’d think Sally would have mentioned her once or twice but if you leave Corrie now as an actor, you’re never mentioned plus a low key exit which would have never happened before money troubles

I am now regretting saying I really liked the new Driscoll family! I think they have had far too much exposure / screen time too soon. Really dont like how Maggie delivers her lines.

I can’t cope with the angst of a poorly Platt baby, after the trauma of tonight’s Emmerdale, so to focus on the matter at hand, Becky’s hair, is it cut with a knife and fork? Liam Gallagher meets Doctor Spock, meets Suzi Quattro. Just bog to Audrey’s and get a pixie Becky, for all our sakes.

Dunno but she looks ten years older and seems to have forgotten about Francaay. Has he gone into the child catcher’s vault until he’s old enough to deliver a few lines?

Why would Lisa, and indeed even Betsy the brainless, not realise they’re being played when Becky goes with her to watch Betsy tell Carla off??

Where are the Platts living now? Is that Audrey’s house, or is it Gail’s house that has been refurbed after the fire? If it is, why is Audrey living there?

It’s Gail’s house and Audrey is living there because she sold her house on Grasmere Drive to pay for the refurb and the condition was she lives in the garage annex room. I think that’s what happened

At least Carla has woken up and is taking no shit from Becky with the bad hair
