Continuing from the last thread (Long hot summer of 2025!)

So much going on.

Sally and Tim are foster parents for Lou and Mick's children. (Whilst Lou and Mick are in jail.)

Kit (Brody's bio dad) has been assigned desk duties at work after getting into trouble. Bernie has gone on holiday alone.

Dev has packed Aadi off to India, to live with his uncle Vikram! (As he thought Aadi was out of control!)

Tim has Mr Spock eyebrows. Sally is still a snob. 'It's a top quality hot tub!' 😆

Abi and her comedy lips is having a sordid little fling with Kevin's Chuckle brother Carl. TracyLuv is blackmailing them because she caught them smooching!

DeeDee is (unprofessionally) dating a client.

There seems to be a secret involving Swain's deceased wife Becky that Kit's boss seems to know about, but won't talk about, and it's getting annoying now. (Just tell us Corrie bosses!)

Sarah has helped the factreh make a financial loss after flirting with a potential buyer who accused her of sexual harrassment, and is now demanding a discount, (which has resulted in other buyers wanting the same discount.)

I can see what they were trying to do with the Asha storyline - abit reminiscent of the young Indian Dr in “This is going to hurt” - that was very powerful and hard hitting .
But as usual in Corrie these days it’s just not done right and the actors haven’t got the depth .
Corrie used to be able to make me cry ( Aidan etc ) but not it makes me want to cry at how awful it is .

Shruti the doctor ... I still think about her...but in Coronation Street people are soon forgotten 😕

Having seen someone going through panic attacks, I thought Asha was good.

All of this. ^ 😆It just baffles me, and makes me laugh in equal measures when someone comes into Corrie and gets a job the same day. Kev's brother - mechanic, and that Kelly who ended up in Doctor Who - professional stylist who got an award for hairdressing, with NO training! Many others too just waltz into being a barmaid (Gemma, and Glenda, and Daisy,) with seeming no bar experience before. And Lauren just stepped up as a shop assistant.

Soooo many examples of people dropping into a job, with not only no experience or training, but also no interview or selection process. And how the F did a drug addled skank like Abi become a mechanic?! Farcical!

Theo's hair is annoying me so much I want to take clippers to it and make him bald.

When Gemma was in the pub celebrating her and Paul's birthdays who was looking after the quads? Was it mentioned? 😕 If so I must have missed it.

After he had been chatting to Gemma decked out in her birthday badges, I really laughed at the the look of disdain Theo had on his face at the very thought of spending time in the pub with her.

Perhaps Frieda has the quads?

Carl has somehow become a mechanic even though he never mentioned being one when he met Abi in the car park.

I guess he has the Webster genes and Kev trained him up like he has done with young Brody.

The only qualification you need to work there is a criminal record.

Abi is also a quick learner, she does not seem perturbed at having to learn German

Abi trained as a motor mechanic when she was in prison.

Carl kept quiet about being a motor mechanic when he first met Abi in the car park because he fancied her and wanted her to stick around while she fixed his car.

I love checking in on the comments here but never join in despite rarely missing an episode. Hard agree with the thoughts on Theo, Abi, Swain etc but Asha’s panic attack has prompted me to defend the actress. Having found my sister with her hands contracted and toes like claws when in the midst of a bad one, I thought it was a more realistic portrayal than those usually shown on TV. Previously I’d naively thought that the shallow panting we’re normally shown was all that was involved.

Why is Summer back in it and looking for a job? Did she fail Uni?

Asha actress just isn’t up to heavy storylines.

They have had cars nicked from the garage before but Tyrone leaves a lad who is just out of the STC in charge

Summer was wearing a very short skirt. Her diabetes is cured? Or maybe just forgotten.

Well Bernadine is on hol ridiculously at the time when her fave step son is emigrating - bonkers! And chez was with Gemma so Lord only knows where quads are?? What happened to the rich MIL of Chez ? She with the long glamorous locks? She hasn’t made an appearance in ages !

More strange camera angles last night. We were treated to a close up of Glenda's arse just before scene with Dev and Asha in pub. Maybe the work experience lads who write the scripts have got some of their mates in to try out as cameramen?

So many boring storylines atm. I’m just not interested in any of them. Bored stiff with Todd & Theo. Bored even stiffer with the whole Brody/ Tim/ sally/ the girls thing.
Thank god for George & his internet dating. Only storyline I’m remotely interested in.

Is there a teenager cupboard? If so, I'd like to put Summer, Nina and Lauren in it.
Lauren was so nasty to Aadi.
I had my drink swiped at a pub, and the swiper had the cheek to have a go at me, because it was water, she thought it was vodka 😄

Where/why did Bernie go away? I missed that. They only got married ten minutes ago, but weird to go on holiday on your own.

Watched it last night and the night before as I was at a relatives house and he still likes to watch it. I gave up watching consistently about eight years ago. Honestly, some of the acting is appalling - the actress who plays Glenda and even worse the actress who plays Asha. Boring stories…such a shame this once great TV show is so dull.

Same here. And I think the actor who plays Brody is terrible. 😖 I HATE the way he speaks, and draws his words out. I wish that whole family would feck off, the kids and all. Todd and Theo make me roll my eyes. And yeah as a pp said, so many inconsistencies and unanswered questions. Why would Bernie not be there for Aadi, where are the quads, where is Jorsif's gran?
