The pods reopen on Wednesday

Wondering if the usual posters will join me again!

Netflix pace just means if an episode is available on Netflix it’s fair game to discuss but if you have spoilers from the internet or socials please don’t post them until the series ends

Just finished the weddings. I actually had the opposite for each couple in my head, except Kieron and Megan. Can't see the reunion though :(

Snugglemonkey · 30/08/2025 18:17

ShesTheAlbatross · 29/08/2025 23:04

I just saw a trailer for the reunion on Instagram.

I won’t give away any spoilers but for a couple of the couples you can tell if they’re sitting together or not. And the audience does a dramatic gasp when Emma Willis announces that they have a picture of the photo booth! The drama!!

I am interested to see if the photo booth has a curtain. Though even if it doesn't, he was a dick. I don't understand why he did not let her go gracefully in the pods. He certainly should not have proposed.

SaratogaFilly · 30/08/2025 18:30

Ego @Snugglemonkey- he didn’t want to lose to another bloke, simple as that in my view.

Looks that way. But now he looks like an utterly selfish dick. Plus he was creepy at the parties. What woman wants him now?

TheLudditesWereRight · 31/08/2025 10:42

Imagine having kids with Mr Hospital Corners Billy 😬 he would NOT be able to handle it

MrsJamin · 31/08/2025 16:17

Billy just seemed to be so regimented in his life. Do you think he ate any wedding cake?! Or did he just have plain rice, broccoli and unseasoned chicken for the reception dinner?!

TheLudditesWereRight · 31/08/2025 19:24

NO ONION

It strikes me that Billy might be quite a politically loaded choice of forename in the Northern Irish context, together with the army career.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 31/08/2025 19:50

@TheLudditesWereRight I’m of Irish descent and it struck me as quite the statement, yes

I dont understand, do you mean because of Billy Elliott? x

SaratogaFilly · 31/08/2025 20:28

Billy is a Protestant name in NI (after King William of Orange) although I’m not making any negative connection to him being Protestant & his behaviour on LIB??

cigarsmokingwoman · 31/08/2025 20:32

Yes being from NI, being called Billy and being in the army are all protestant things, but those things don't necessarily make someone a dick. (which Billy is)

No, nothing to do with Billy Elliott which was set in the North East

Do you know much about the Northern Irish Troubles? It’s a complex thing to explain in a MN Post, just the cultural significance. Don’t want to derail the thread.

I wont be able to watch at 9, which im sad about

OP posts:
SaratogaFilly · 31/08/2025 20:44

Being Protestant doesn’t mean he’s a dick @EineReiseDurchDieZeitso I’m not getting the connection? He’s a dick because he’s a dick, nothing to do with his religion!

TheLudditesWereRight · 31/08/2025 20:45

No connection to him being a dick, just musing.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 31/08/2025 20:46

@SaratogaFilly I TOTALLY don’t think it does, I noted that his name was quite sectarian, that’s all!!

OP posts:
EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 31/08/2025 20:47

Anyway, let’s not derail the thread

OP posts:
SaratogaFilly · 31/08/2025 20:52

I totally agree, let’s not derail the thread (but as an FYI, it is OK to be called Billy as it’s OK to be called Liam or any other name for that matter).

I completely agree with you, it just has deeper meaning in that locality…

SaratogaFilly · 31/08/2025 20:55

I’m from Belfast @EineReiseDurchDieZeitso I’m finding your posts offensive as I can't understand what it has to do with a fluff TV show - He’s a dick, but plenty of blokes are, not just Protestant ones.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 31/08/2025 20:59

Look, I don’t think he’s a dick, protestant or otherwise!!!! I just agreed with a post that his name got me musing about his background

SaratogaFilly · 31/08/2025 21:01

Northern Ireland is amazing & needs to not be reduced to sectarian shit on a thread about a TV show.

mumofoneAloneandwell · 31/08/2025 21:02

I'm so sorry everyone, its a lovely thread please lets not derail it

@EineReiseDurchDieZeit thanks for being nice re my dumbness 😭😭😭🙈🙈

Edit, I have a bit of knowledge of the troubles, although its outsider knowledge - will defo read more into it x

mumofoneAloneandwell · 31/08/2025 21:03

Is it okay to say that I think that Billy is a dick, and had no knowledge of the significance of his name

What kind of man only eats unseasoned meat? A shite one, sorry

I totally understand your sensitivities. Let’s call a truce here. I dated a protestant NI man once, lovely, too old for me.
