Ofc it’s women’s sport, so one boring match or weird year means it’s absolutely rubbish 🙄🤔[/sarcasm]. I watch a lot of sport too, if that’s the qualifier, and Sabalenka, Andreeva, Bencic, Navarro, Kartal were all great to watch, exciting and served the theatre of sport.
I do think sports should be paid the same for men and women. Funny that men’s sports never have to query bringing in how many viewers in until the women’s sports started asking for more pay. Like PP said, it’s about the costs incurred, and also investment in grass roots sports and entry level, as well as giving equal presence for viewership. You pay less at the top, it’s basically nothing at the bottom, and the talent doesn’t stay or stick around.
