Doechii is amazing. I've not seen her before

steelingmyself · 28/06/2025 23:04

Raye amazing but feel like I’ve seen her do that set before.

Have been hanging on for Doechii and watching slightly behind time!

SocksAndTheCity · 28/06/2025 23:05

If/when she does Nosebleeds I'm getting up for a dance. I don't care that I'm 52 and have no rhythm 😀

Eastendboysandwestendgirls · 28/06/2025 23:05

First year in a while I don't have FOMO. Normally at least someone in Saturday night would make me wistful. I've never been a NY fan despite my "wish my parents had had me earlier" hippy wannabe credentials. And Charlie XCX... Well I shan't say what I think but her set is not got me. Never been so pleased not to be there!

redcord · 28/06/2025 23:06

Blimey, Neil is 79 and singing every word. Charli xcx is 32 and shouting the occasional yeah over a backing track. Does that say something about the Millennial vs Boomer work ethic?! (hey, don't @ me 🤐)

PlumpHobbit · 28/06/2025 23:06

Have gone back to Neil Young and his "dirges" as someone so excellently put it up thread. Nope I can't

Tried Doechii but not a fan of rapping

You shouldn't mime at Glastonbury, Charli

Agree! She's putting on a great show tbf

RubieChewsDay · 28/06/2025 23:07

Have also switched to Doechii, felt a bit low effort from Charli, although the crowd is definitely enjoying it!

Well Charli has the bigger crowd so maybe it's case of work smarter, not harder 😂 looks like atmosphere wins in the modern times

PlumpHobbit · 28/06/2025 23:08

Out of desperation im giving Caribou, who ive never heard of, a try

Plasticwaste · 28/06/2025 23:09

I wish I was on something strong enough to pretend this is good 😀

moto748e · 28/06/2025 23:09

Just watching NY now on BBC. I love him, seen him plenty of times, but he is an (the?) old man now. But what a guy. I saw him at Hammersmith (can't remember if was the Odeon or the Palais) on the Zuma tour first.

If to get the 1975 you need to know the joke, it's not really going to work for Glastonbury with all the casual and non-fan viewers. The few minutes I saw put me off. Keep in jokes for the fans.

Looked like a crowd full of fans to me?

SELLING PETROL! 💃🏽

Sorry I was literally just scrolling this thread to see what people said about The 1975. I haven't seen it properly. I don't do BBC but the clips I've seen, it was a great set list, a great show for fans of the band, with the car, the treadmill, the quotes that were used in the video for the Sound. Matty crying at the end really moved me. It must feel like a bloody long journey - getting clean from heroin and then headlining Glastonbury.

there was another thread with a couple of fans who were going, but I can't find it. It's from a while back.

Matty's jokes never work. If he stops doing politics and stops trying to make jokes, I think that would be very good for him and the band 😂

as you were - pardon the interruption.

Victoriaspo · 28/06/2025 23:11

Neil Young is an epic musician. An absolute influence and innovator. But he is not a Saturday night headliner at this point.

Notashamed13 · 28/06/2025 23:13

Apparently we have Rods dulcet tones to look forward to tomorrow 👉😑👈

Aquarius1234 · 28/06/2025 23:14

I don't know any of his songs.. curious why he's headlining the Saturday night slot.

RedRiverShore5 · 28/06/2025 23:15

I love Neil Young but I doubt that DS who is there is watching him I know all the songs but I'm quite old😀

He feels more like a lunch time/legends slot

Jellykat · 28/06/2025 23:17

What the actual fuck is this hair flicking autotune / not even bothering to sing shite??? There are loads of girls that can walk around in boots and hair extensions, chatting shit about their knickers and French manicures!

Agreed.

Plasticwaste · 28/06/2025 23:19

I think it's a psyop.

PlumpHobbit · 28/06/2025 23:19

No wonder Charli has left her microphone behind to crawl on the floor, she's barely using it

Yeh that's what I mean. Rod Stewart would have been better if they were looking for a different audience crowd and with the more catchy tunes for a Saturday headline act. Yet he's on tomorrow and Neil Young a headliner.

Word on the street is Madonna pulled out months ago due to massive demands.

Jellykat · 28/06/2025 23:19

At last Scissor Sisters, thank god!
