I'm really enjoying Pulp this time around again because I actually went to Spike Island, so I'm loving them doing a song about it.

Love the graphic of wood chip for the uninitiated Grin

Maybe they'll do something similar if they do Sorted For E's and Wizz? 😁

I thought Pulp were a bit rubbish. I’ve liked them since 90s but his voice was poor and it lacked any energy.

I that’s what was good about Gary Numan. They had an aliveness and vitality about them. I’ve had the TV turned down for a lot of stuff this year.

I don't think people's voice are at peak strength at age 61. I can forgive him. They were great at Coop Live last weekend. Brought back some pretty perfect memories of my youth right in the middle of menopausal hideousness. For that he's my hero.

Actually, John Fogarty was VERY impressive! Glad he got his songs back. 80! Legend!

Jarvis was never a great singer, that's not the point, so his voice going a bit has made no difference to my enjoyment of his wry observations and geeky dance moves, set to an amazing band and loads of strings.

LittleGreenDuck · 28/06/2025 19:47

AngelsWithSilverWings · 28/06/2025 19:39

@LittleGreenDuck a friend also spotted him and took a photo of the TV screen and sent it to me. Light blue t shirt dancing doing proper dancing like no one's watching! The hat isn't as bad as it looked - it looked like a bucket hat but it's actually just a free one he got from some corporate event.

Sounds like he's enjoying himself, fabulous 😊

HelenCurlyBrown · 28/06/2025 19:50

The joy of looking 50 odd when you’re 20 odd is that Jarvis looks no different.

dapsnotplimsolls · 28/06/2025 19:53

The Daily Mail is having conniptions about Bob Vylan's set 😁

Stuckinarut100 · 28/06/2025 19:59

Saw Pulp a week ago at Birmingham, absolutely wonderful, such incredible memories of the 90s.

the80sweregreat · 28/06/2025 20:00

Jarvis must have a painting in his attic which is bald and wrinkly ..

Miss the laugh emoji so much, I thought they were stunning, I am old and had never heard of them but was blown away by the enery and talent. Has the Mail had to educate its readers about a new hate object? They know that they have to hate Kneecap and now they have been gifted Bob Vylan too!

Treeshadebreese · 28/06/2025 20:00

Loving Jarvis, he’s so beautifully eccentric. Jackanory for adults.

halfpasteleven · 28/06/2025 20:02

Love Pulp and love Jarvis!

It is weird how much he looks just the same but then his look was never young 😂
I haven’t seen Pulp in years and I loved that set but it would be more convenient for the home watcher if the Ezra Collective fitted more neatly between Pulp and Raye.

tinyspiny · 28/06/2025 20:05

We are watching Myles Smith on I player and he’s really good

I think Common People should be the national anthem, it expresses the life of so many of us. Years ago my kid was mates with the daughter of a local GP, I was a piss poor single parent and I remember her picking up her daughter from a play date and telling me that she now knew what it was like for poor people as she had forgotten to take her card with her when she went to the Supermarket and had to add up the cost of the items in her trolley because she only had a small amount of cash with her. Common People sprang into my mind
