Yes, I wonder what we'd think of them all if we saw an accurate picture of their circumstances and their views on this.

They do all come across as pleasant and reasonable enough that you could have a realistic thoughtful chat with them about their lives.

Maybe he's just a farmer to avoid inheritance tax?

The loophole closure announced in last year's budget was to crack down on this sort of thing!

Regardless of her background, I do think Caroline has gained alot from this race, and I see more growth in her than in her son.

But maybe she's always been like that - competitive and energetic.

On Liza Tarbuck radio 2 on Saturday someone contacted to say when they visit their mum in her care home they approach the signing in book as if they are arriving at the check point in race across the world - made me laugh

i heard that @Tourist29 and she also expressed how much she liked the two youngsters

Hello folks. Going off topic slightly if you don't mind ... I have posted a thread on AIBU which could get me suspended or banned. I'm wondering if any of you on here would let me message you away from MN so that I know what's going on if I do get banned?

I've been on Mumsnet since 2006. Have had maybe 5 or 6 major user names in that time (for a few years at a time) and a number of short term ones for privacy. I questioned moderation/trolls/fakery once before which HQ didn't like and banned me, so I wouldn't be surprised if it happens again! Looking forward to seeing who wins. My money is on the sisters. But only because they haven't been doing any publicity and I have seen stuff from all of the other contestants. My bet is that the BBC are saving them for the final!

Yep, watching tonight. I don't mind who wins really. Last year I was really hoping for the two young lads (so it didn't disappoint) but I haven't got the same investment this year.

I'm sad - although obviously have been a part of it - that so much of our group discussion about the series has been about the negatives! I don't feel we are so collectively in love with the show this year?
