It’s is a singing competition, which was created to unite after European political strife. When a country is in the middle of said strife, it should remove itself until resolved. That is not a comment on who is right or wrong, nor specifically about Isreal. It’s unfair to other countries who lose positions of a simple fun competition to a political voting system.

If anyone think they’ve seen JJ before, apparently he was on The Voice UK a few years ago, and hit to the knockouts with Will.I.Am. ( according to Wikipedia).

I liked the Isreal song, didn't vote for it but thought it wasn't bad & liked their chicken one a few yrs ago too.

I didn't vote as I couldn't do it online. But if I had I'd have voted for Israel

Quite a few tbh. I think it was a weak year with not many standout songs but a lot I'm happy to listen to regularly. Estonia and Sweden are my earworms.

They’ve got a new single about to be released and a tour planned.

Very hard to do if the next song contests is held in a country at war. It would be a serious risk for many people to travel there next year. It’s only a singing contest until the reality sets in, much like Ukraine’s win.

Quite liked the Austrian song.
Also liked Italy and Estonia.

Staging was poor for the UK song, dont think voting was anti UK, performance just didnt stand out.

Relieved Israel didn't win.

I think it was possibly a bit too obvious for the win.

And going just by sound, if I didn't have the TV and was listening in, the Austria vocals stood out above everyone else's

So in terms of our 0. A couple of years ago when Sam Ryder did so well, Graham Norton and others who are part of the big Eurovision Machine said that a huge contributor to the auks general poor performances and to Sam’s much better one was that he played the game.

across Europe in the months running up to Eurovision there is a HUGE circuit/press tour which Eurovision contestants can do. Radio, tv shows, festivals etc. and the UK artists basically never bother.

Sam Ryder did. And look at the difference it made. Our lack of points isn’t all about our general popularity as a country. It’s also because we just don’t bloody bother.
