I’ll be checking in, I try and avoid the songs until the finale but heard a bit of Austria’s entry on the radio this morning and really liked it. Not getting the love for Sweden this year, but I can never seem to go with the majority most years!

I have a dear friend over tomorrow evening to watch, but I won’t be posting here as it’s a bit anti social.

Hoping we end up on the left hand side of the board somewhere.
My final favourites are Albania, Spain & Malta.

For my fellow Sky sufferers - I rang them earlier about something unrelated and was greeted with a recorded message about Sky Q boxes having issues last night! It advised to switch it off for 30 seconds. It will update and problem resolved.

I will be watching it. I may have some wine. And I hope I can dance to some of them.

I hope they don’t muffle any booing. I know it’s not a political show (except when it is!) but it would be valid to let reactions play out.

See I totally get why Sweden is the favourite but I'm baffled that Austria is second. I wanted to mute it after 30 seconds.

Ooh, good timing! I've just concluded my annual listenathon of the finalists. I try to be as objective as possible and go in not knowing anything about the artists, their countries (until I look them up afterwards), staging etc... Just by going off the recorded versions, my top countries are:

Austria
Germany
Spain

I like a dance banger 😁 Austria is my favourite by quite some margin. UK doesn't have a hope from what I heard!

Of course, all that could change on the night, and that's what makes Eurovision night so fun!

I can see both sides of allowing/not allowing booing but adding fake cheers, as they've done for Israel two years in a row, is really not on.

The second half of Austria's song gets wild!! I love it!

Now that is Australia is out I'm not getting up at 5am to watch so will wait for the replay. I like so many of the acts this year, would like to see Albania, Ukraine and Lithuania do well!

Anyone got a good guess as to who I'll miss while I'm watching The Handmaids Tale?
DH will be watching it all, and I've written out his "scorecard" and he will be fully provided with drinks/snacks before I bugger off upstairs for an hour (call me Martha) 🍕🍟🍫🍻
He's looked on the bookies websites this morning and the UK is favourite...to finish last.

It's quite a varied line-up, which is good. I'm hoping Italy, Ukraine and Luxembourg do well. I looked back and watched Czechia. They were good! It's a pity they didn't make the final.

Have just listened to the UK song, oh dear. Huge autotune use, will be frightening to see if they can hold a tune without it...

My favourite: Latvia - beautiful vocals in the style of traditional, Eastern European women's choirs combined with a modern, catchy beat and lovely outfits.

Also love Sweden (who are actually Finnish!)

And I've changed my mind about Finland - go Erika, you're bossing it! 💪

Definitely not Malmö next year. They've said they won't bid. The Swedish broadcaster has said they will host if they win though.

That leaves Stockholm as the only possibility in terms of a suitable venue (it wasn't available last year as it was being refurbished) which meets the Eurovision hosting criteria.

Also, I would be surprised if the UK got no points. We should get some points from the jury.
