Cast announced as, Stephen Fry, Mark Bonner, Celia Imrie, Alan Carr, Joe Wilkinson, Nick Mohammed, Ruth Codd, Paloma Faith, Lucy Beaumont, Charlotte Church, Jonathon Ross, Kate Garraway, Joe Marler, Tameka Empson, David Olusoga, Claire Balding, Tom Daley, Cat Burns & Niki Omilana.

I’m looking forward to this. I have a feeling that it will be harder for the celebs - some of whom must know each other - to trick people, but will definitely be watching. I’m glad it’s a good cast with several comedians.

Now wondering who would be good traitors. Mark Bonner in a cloak would put a smile on my face, but I’m worried that Alan Carr could be a Linda.

Yes. She's done weird stuff to her face.
She looked so much better before. Now she looks like Nicole Kidman.

We were like who is that? Then said wow that’s not Frankie I liked her better before too!

I'm new to Traitors and this show has made me laugh so much. It's pantomime. Alan Carr is bloody hilarious and Mark Bonnar is quite the silver fox.

I haven't watched before but im loving it. It is an absolute hoot!

Yep, it’s not just the hair and the tan, there’s def some filler or whatever going on with her face. Her choice of course… but she looks so much more generic now. She was a very attractive woman before! I remember hoping during the series that she’d get together with that lovely male contestant, can’t remember his name but he too was a bit posh and a similar age and went on to raise loads of money for a learning disability charity in honour of his brother. Fans of the show will know who I’m on about!!

Omg that’s hilarious. I think Paloma would have been great fun if she’d stayed. I’d love to have seen her at the round table.

CaveMum · 11/10/2025 08:53

For those asking if all contestants know who wins, certainly for the “civvie” series they don’t. The winner doesn’t actually get the money until after the series has aired, in order to prevent spoilers being leaked. Everyone in the show, including all production staff, has to sign pretty watertight NDAs.

Celebs will be used to keeping stuff secret - upcoming projects, plot lines, etc so arguably it’s easier for them.

I can’t stand Paloma, her voice is annoying and she keeps moaning about being killed, it’s a game ffs. She acts all innocent but didn’t she bully Natalie Cassidy terribly while they were at school together. I’m loving Cat and Jonathan. Alan is an awful traitor but so entertaining and fun. Some really good celebrities they have selected. I’m loving it.

Agree. I am already sick of her moaning about being killed. It's obvious why Alan chose her because he knows her and it would not seem odd for him to touch her face. He was so nervous about killing it made it easier for him to choose someone he knew.

Her silly whiny voice is very annoying as is her dress sense

Frankie was saying on Uncloaked Bonus that she hadn’t even told her children she was on it until it aired! They all sat down to watch it together which was when they found out. The only person who knew was her husband!

I often wonder what people tell work. Something like Bake Off or Sewing Bee you can tell them you are going on that, and you are only there for a few days a week. With Traitors you are there full time.

I wonder if the early finishers get to go home. But then that would give the game away somewhat.

Also, as was said on The Rest is Entertainment, for a ‘high status’ celebrity to take out someone less well known, like Ruth, would have been mean. He could have gone for Ruth but that would have come across as very unfair.

Aren’t they only there for about 10 days?

FrothyCothy · 11/10/2025 09:42

Assuming they make it to the end of course.

Some of them of course also sometimes reappear later in the game, though that seems to usually be the people who are sent away before they even enter the castle.

A retired contestant on the recent Irish traitors said his wife had had to make up a story about him randomly deciding to return to work after fifteen years of retirement when he missed an important family occasion and his brother couldn’t get him on the phone.😀 And there’s another reason why that was particularly funny which I won’t say for fear of spoilers, as I gather the Traitors Ireland is going to be watchable on the iPlayer after the end of Celebrity Traitors. (It’s great fun, but the ‘tasks’ are rubbish.)

The civvie version is 3 weeks IIRC. They spend a few days at the start interviewing them all to decide on who will be the Traitors, then they play the game which lasts about 12 days, then they will have a debrief and send them back home.

I don’t think they go home when they are booted out as, as has been said, that means the people in your life who know that you’ve gone in will know you didn’t win.

I seem to remember hearing somewhere that the celebrities were given a flat fee of £40k for a fortnight’s availability.

Is it shorter than the ‘civilian’ version if its only nine episodes and started with fewer contestants? Or am I misremembering the length of previous series?

Just looked it up - season 3 had 25 players and 12 episodes. This one has 19 players (one still to join???) and 9 episodes. I guess that seems about right, they average 2 leaving per episode

I did wonder if the funeral/ coffins were difficult for Kate and she was trying hard not to show it?

I thought that. It’s not that long since Derek’s funeral. Not the most sensitive of tasks chosen given everything

Yes but Kate would have been fully aware going into the series that there have been funeral/buried alive tasks in previous series. If she didn’t know that then the fault is on her team for not letting her know. The whole “theme” of the show is murder/death so references to it should be expected!

Delatron · 11/10/2025 11:52

She seems quite tough - I’m sure she was aware of what she was getting in to. This is why Tom’s meanness towards her is making me cross.

She also won't be the only person there who has lost somebody close.

TraitorsFan · 11/10/2025 12:21

On The One Show Paloma said Alan is the only one of the celebrities who has been round to her house. It sounded as if he was there quite often.

She also said she watched the programme with her family, and her 9 year old daughter said she didn’t want Alan to visit any more. I wondered why a 9 year old was watching TV that late (10:15pm) on a school night 😄 It doesn’t seem so bad now, though.

One about to join ???

I still think if there is it will be Bob Mortimer
I really hope so ! 🤞

More like someone dropped out last minute and they couldn’t find a replacement in time. Possibly Bob Mortimer as he’s had some health issues.

Sameoldsameold78 · 11/10/2025 12:44

Bob Mortimer was on the radio yesterday and Scott Mills asked if he’s watching traitors. He was quite vague and evasive and so I wondered if he might be going in later!

RebeccaDecember · 11/10/2025 12:51

Would absolutely LOVE Bob Mortimer to go in but I read he couldn’t do it on health grounds - he had massive open heart surgery so certainly couldn’t do some of the missions. And he’d never keep a straight face at the round table!
