Is there a celebrity traitors thread yet?

Cast announced as, Stephen Fry, Mark Bonner, Celia Imrie, Alan Carr, Joe Wilkinson, Nick Mohammed, Ruth Codd, Paloma Faith, Lucy Beaumont, Charlotte Church, Jonathon Ross, Kate Garraway, Joe Marler, Tameka Empson, David Olusoga, Claire Balding, Tom Daley, Cat Burns & Niki Omilana.

I’m looking forward to this. I have a feeling that it will be harder for the celebs - some of whom must know each other - to trick people, but will definitely be watching. I’m glad it’s a good cast with several comedians.

Now wondering who would be good traitors. Mark Bonner in a cloak would put a smile on my face, but I’m worried that Alan Carr could be a Linda.

Alan is very entertaining and I hope doesn’t get voted out early but I fear people will be suspicious of him.

butterpuffed · 09/10/2025 09:05

He makes me laugh as he can't stop getting the giggles when he shouldn't. I hope he won't go early but I think he may!

EleanorReally · 09/10/2025 09:08

Mark Bonner on radio 4 this morning <<swoon>>

HomelessAngua · 09/10/2025 09:41

Love Joe Marler - aka Rugby Guy..

CaveMum · 09/10/2025 09:56

So, who do we think is most likely to be murdered tonight? Of course it might not happen but the suggestion was definitely that it would be a woman, so that narrows down the field.

Ruled Out
Cat (Traitor)
Celia (Shield)
Kate (Shield)

At Risk
Charlotte
Clare
Lucy
Paloma
Ruth
Tameka

For me I think Clare and Charlotte would be too obvious to murder - they've marked themselves in the first challenge and are already under suspicion so just let the Faithful banish them.

Lucy has not been shown much so far so using the usual "little airtime in the early episodes = in it for the longer term" rule.

That leaves Paloma, Ruth and Tameka. I don't get the impression that Alan and Ruth know each other so him casually touching her face is going to stand out. I honestly think he's going to go for Paloma as they've already got a good relationship going and it wouldn't be that out of place for him to be touching her, particularly if he's going to play it as "oh you've got something on your face".

Agree/Disagree?

FrothyCothy · 09/10/2025 09:58

Assuming he puts any thought into it at all, I’d also say Paloma.

CaveMum · 09/10/2025 10:02

I should add, I don't want Paloma to go as she is such an agent of chaos that she'd really mix things up. To be fair I don't want any of them to go!

Fifiesta · 09/10/2025 10:13

Last nights programme was brilliant.
Also pleased that this is an open thread that we can all pile in on.

IPartridge · 09/10/2025 10:20

I have another newbie question - how does a person know when they've been murdered?

weegielass · 09/10/2025 10:20

I don't like Kate Garroway at all but I do like Alan Carr in this, he's hilarious!

They get a letter in their bedroom to say goodbye. You are dead

placemats · 09/10/2025 11:07

Is Tom Daley an Olympian? It may have been mentioned a few times 😅

It's a fantastic show and I'm really enjoying it.

FrothyCothy · 09/10/2025 11:09

Those who are watching this as their first experience of the traitors, pleeeeeeaase go back and watch the original series - they really are engrossing television! Heroes, villains, complete idiots, accidental geniuses. It’s got it all.

DataColour · 09/10/2025 11:09

Really enjoying this and another Mark Bonner and Nick Mohammad fan here! Alan was hilarious, he's not going to last a day as a traitor!

RubieChewsDay · 09/10/2025 11:13

@CaveMum I agree that I think it's going to be Paloma. They were talking in the car about knowing each other for years, and I can see him doing it as they have a hug when one of them is off to bed, possibly his last chance to get it done! Shame as she would have been good value, but other than Stephen Fry who I find a bit smug I don't think there are any that I want to leave.

I thought it was a great first episode though and I'm really interested to see how it's going to play out. The dynamic of none of them needing to win the money to change their lives so just being in it for the game is going to be the real difference from the standard version I think.

WirralCyrille · 09/10/2025 11:14

It was funny watching them find reasons to suspect each other -‘ooh, she overreacted then’, ‘her face changed’, ‘he was staring at everyone’ etc. I’d be doing the same!

Nick Mohammed is great, he seems such a sweet soul.

the80sweregreat · 09/10/2025 11:29

Mark bonner is just gorgeous . He was in Department Q on Netflix earlier this year and he was just so good.

Only it’s not their bedroom, really, as they all stay in the Marriott near the airport. Who knows when exactly they film the segment where the murdered contestant gets their letter? I suppose the next day, after they’ve been informed at the hotel after the traitors have met?

Love Joe Marler - aka Rugby Guy..

He was one of the celebrity sitters having their portrait painted yesterday on a new episode of Sky Portrait Artist of the Year.

DontStopMe · 09/10/2025 11:50

Stephen Fry seemed to get a fair bit of air time on the first show - does this mean he's likely to be one of the first out? I hope so!

ChoccyJules · 09/10/2025 11:51

I think Claud is taking the mick a bit now with the clothes. She’s well aware of the hype around her wardrobe and has received billions of fingerless gloves. In the first series she was wearing striking outfits with certain key elements and IMHO she’s crossed the line into comedy for this series. I would have to go back and check but the boots on Day One seemed to have chaps attached, like when kids ride in ankle boots.

R&J: Romeo, Juliet, Tybalt, Mercutio, Paris, Lady Montague
Hamlet: Hamlet, Claudius, Gertrude, Polonius, Laertes, Ophelia, Rosencrantz, Guildenstern
So I think 14. Old Hamlet/Old Fortinbras/Yorick die before the play opens. I wish they'd revealed the answer on the show 😂

I think you’re right.
I thought Benvolio died but I’ve googled and he didnt
Seems I killed of another random too 🤣
Not as many deaths as Traitors will be then

She said in an interview that the wardrobe direction for this series was “unhinged in taffeta” so they know what they’re doing!

I hope she’ll be carried in on the shoulders of her “boys” again at some point!

Maybe because the first challenge involved a horse

There is an envelope placed on a chair for them
