Is there a celebrity traitors thread yet?

Cast announced as, Stephen Fry, Mark Bonner, Celia Imrie, Alan Carr, Joe Wilkinson, Nick Mohammed, Ruth Codd, Paloma Faith, Lucy Beaumont, Charlotte Church, Jonathon Ross, Kate Garraway, Joe Marler, Tameka Empson, David Olusoga, Claire Balding, Tom Daley, Cat Burns & Niki Omilana.

I’m looking forward to this. I have a feeling that it will be harder for the celebs - some of whom must know each other - to trick people, but will definitely be watching. I’m glad it’s a good cast with several comedians.

Now wondering who would be good traitors. Mark Bonner in a cloak would put a smile on my face, but I’m worried that Alan Carr could be a Linda.

As the money is going to charity they’re not as likely to be as savage or ruthless to each other. They just want to enjoy the game as much as possible before they’re murdered without pissing anyone off

Oh and I liked whoever said ‘you’ll like this Claire, it’s a horse’ 😂😂

I think that was Alan Carr 🤔
Hilarious 😂

She’s in The Dry.

Yes! Thank you!

A huge fight started in my house (two English Lit PhDs) about the correct answer to how many characters die in total in Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet.

(Benvolio in R and J only dies in the Second Quarto edition, and we nearly came to blows about whether to include Old Hamlet because he dies before the start of the play, but if you include him you’d have to include Yorick and Old Fortinbras…)

I think it’s 14 in total, but there’s room for ambiguity…

ETA Which I’m sure you’re all very pleased to have had cleared up. 😀

Team Celia ‘Cheekbones’ Imrie!

Jonathan Ross hair has been puffed up to buggery

And he’s been at the ‘Just for Men’ porn star black quiff dye!

Did Jonathan Ross give himself away in the kitchen to the rugby player when he forgot he had a shield?!

Yes I noticed that, he definitely did

FuzzyWolf · 08/10/2025 23:16

I hadn’t realised how much I had missed Traitors and the celebrities that have had the screen time today seem to making for great viewing.

Empress13 · 08/10/2025 23:20

Really enjoyed this tonight. Thought all traitors decided who to murder? Looks like Alan will murder someone who has a shield lol

EdithBond · 08/10/2025 23:22

I think Joe definitely clocked the mistake but the smart thing to do is to say nothing for now until others also start to have suspicions about Jonathan. Too much traitor hunting early on make others think you are a traitor.

I’m pretty sure they clocked it.

IMHO Jonathan may well speak before he thinks again.

Alan as a Traitor is genius.

He needs to be super careful with the face touch. In the slow death murders Clauds tells them the murder was in plain sight. If you pretend to wipe something off a face, it draws others’ attention, unless you can pull them aside. Needs to be more natural and insignificant. And won’t it leave glitter pollen on their face?

I want Stephen Fry out early but he won't be because he's a Big Name. But he's going to be insufferably pompous.

I rate SF generally been a fan of him since the 80s- BUT, he didn’t really come across as either robust, quick, bright, strategic, a team player, competent/competitive, leaderesque or on the ball …or even particularly warm or likeable..?
Also a bit/cringe wet lettuce coming back to reflect on the Shakespeare question retrospectively…I like the Bard as much as the next man, but seemed pompous and contrived to me.

Is regular Traitors going to be on for a 4th season?

Traitors Ireland was great

Where can I watch this ? Xx

TellingBone · 08/10/2025 23:33

The other traitors could do with chucking Alan Carr under the bus and recruiting Nick.

Those boots Claudia had on at the start looked like they were wearing Claudia 😂

It was filmed back in the spring (same sort of time as this series) so will be on in January 2026.

BeNiceWhenItsFinished · 08/10/2025 23:37

Did anyone else clock the cameras on the wall? I saw two in different places, and I don't think that they've let them creep into shot before at all.

Perhaps thrown as a crumb to the literary-minded, in the hope of starting a heated online debate, with various academics weighing in over editions and whether a death appears in a play or not.

Because the real answer is “depends”.

But Clare Balding ruined it by yanking the lever.

It was great as regards the contestants, but it had a tiny budget, which meant the missions were pretty crap, and the host, Siobhán ‘Sr Michael’ McSweeney, wore quite a few of her own clothes. No horses of Troy!

ChoccyJules · 08/10/2025 23:43

I initially thought choosing Alan as a traitor was crazy and then realised it’s TV gold!
Celia suspects everyone and trusts nobody. Mark is as gorgeous as ever Blush
I think the group might feel that one of the biggest names was chosen, so may start picking them off at the round table. Obviously there are different ideas of who would be on that list but I’m thinking Celia, Stephen, Jonathan. Clare less so but now she’s cocked up a task she’s also a target.
Jonathan definitely slipped up forgetting he had a shield as it doesn’t matter to him. And Alan having to do the murder without them discussing who to go for is a bit different.
I agree with a PP that the pace of tonight was good. Roll on tomorrow!

I think there were also some touches (the receiving line at the funeral for example) that might hit differently to an Irish audience vs an English one. Not to mention the task as Gaeilge! But I hope people do watch and enjoy it. We spent some fun nights screaming at the tv over it 😁

StElwicksNeighbourhoodAssociation · 09/10/2025 00:14

Late to the party as ever. Loved tonights episode and looking forward to the rest of the series. Alan is hilarious but I think he might give himself away. As Jonathan maybe already did? Let the game begin!

SaratogaFilly · 09/10/2025 00:51

Loved it - great start & another fan of Nick Mohammed here!

NewGirlInTown · 09/10/2025 00:51

Choosing Alan Carr as a Traitor has fucked the game already. His stupid smirking and posturing.
He’s such an attention seeker and I rather hoped he would not be chosen so he wouldn’t get so much airtime.
Obvious that Claudia would choose Cat.
I hope some of the more interesting and intelligent people, like David, are seen more than the ‘teeth and tinsel’ sort who will be loudly pushing themselves forward.
