I couldn't see another thread but it looks like this starts on Thursday 10th April.

What will be the themes this year? Banquettets aplenty? Grumpy contestants coming on to the thread to tell us off for not being kind? Hideous colour combinations?

I also fully agree with @FagsMagsandBagsJohn shouldn’t still be there and he really needs to drop the try hard divorced dad styling , fucks sake that hat !

Really frustrating again that they don’t have enough time to finish and what was with that nonsense again when Rita went over budget ‘oh I’ll ‘sell’ a vase panic over’.

Not the most Imaginative title but my brain went blank!

I think he watched the last series with Ben as a victorian street urchin and the clown outfits and thought he had to try and look edgy somehow.

I did prefer the papershop. Only just though. I think the ladies wear shop looked great, but agree it was a bit dull and not very memorable.

John has great woodwork ideas (guess that is his thing though) but always has to scale back his ambitions. I would worry about him finishing if he gets to the final. Rita is OK. Just a solid designer, but it doesn't stand out to me. I think Craig is very clever with ideas and is imaginative. I don't like them all, but he gets things to work that I would not expect to. I really disliked the yellow doors in that flat, but throwing in a bit of lavender colour made it much more palatable.

Rita said she would ‘return’ a vase - ie get the money back to pay for the extra MDF.

Briony and Rita's shop was competent/professional but very dull and bland.

The boys' place was nicer. But oh dear, John still not able to manage his time. He'll go next week.

Alan was even cringier than ever in the mermaid outfit.

Craig's married, Alan's single, definitely some chemistry there though even if just as friends

Power of Art? I didn’t realise that was up for a rerun and I do like his presentational style. I enjoyed that series and the range of styles he covered. I see this week was Caravaggio, one of my faves from that era. I find his light has that same “just sit down and look at it”quality.

Name changed specifically for this, because I grew up in the same tiny village as Emma in Interior design masters series 6 . We were at the same primary school. They were an artistic family and the she was encouraged by her father to believe she could do anything. is true.

Was delighted to see that she has done so well. She also looks fanastic.

I was delighted John won. The interior in the house he did in Portmeirion was nicer than Rita’s I thought.
I don’t like that muted salmon pink and her kitchen was disappointing.
Having said that, it was a great achievement to get to the final.

Does Sophie Robinson do any interiors programme on tv now ?
She was great on that interior competition show before.
Alan’s happy clappy presentation style just isn’t my thing.

I really want to visit Portmerion now. It looks amazing.

I didn't see any of the programmes @deeahgwitch , but I've been to Portmeirion more than once, and I'd go again. It's beautiful.

There was a programme years ago with Sophie Robinson presenting, The Great Interior Design Challenge - Wikipedia, and she was good in that.
