I couldn't see another thread but it looks like this starts on Thursday 10th April.

What will be the themes this year? Banquettets aplenty? Grumpy contestants coming on to the thread to tell us off for not being kind? Hideous colour combinations?

If they're not editing it to make it look like Byrony and Rita are ahead already, they asked much better questions and listened to the clients rather than deciding that everything is dated, which is rich coming from Craig who doesn't know his 50s from his 60s.

It looks very bland but that will work if there is a lot of colour in the clothes, etc. Otherwise they'll need at least a few accent colours to add interest.

I'm glad this is on tonight because I need a bit of shops week. Thursday can be taken up with something else.

Not necessarily a good idea to make you own paper in a paper shop.

Did Briony just say that people walk clockwise in a shop and then say they always go to the left when they enter a shop? Am I being thick because I would have assumed you’d therefore go to the right 🤔

How long do they get to prepare. Craig said ‘last week I was on the sofa’. Do they we only get a week.

I think there is a week between the shows but maybe they get a list of all the situations in advance so they can plan them all but need to accept they may not make it past week 1

Customers actually look to the left on entering so you position anything you really want to sell. Customers don’t necessarily move to the left.

Supermarkets start off with fruit and veg as if customers pick that up first, they are more susceptible to purchasing less healthy food after that aisle.

I like the colour in the paper shop.

Rita was never going to get the paint to stick to chrome - it needs to be powder coated to change the colour.

Paint on a rail that is going to have metal hangers on and off and moved up and down is a big mistake!!

John is going to be lucky again I reckon. The girls have not enough time to play to their strengths of merchandising properly.

I do look to the left and if there's nothing I fancy, which in certain shops there never is so I look to the right because I know what's there, and then I either go to the left if there's something I like or go to the right and start there. I'm having to think of how I used shops and that's what I'm seeing in my head. I think.

Why didn’t she just prime the metal poles in the first place! Would have taken no time
