What will be the themes this year? Banquettets aplenty? Grumpy contestants coming on to the thread to tell us off for not being kind? Hideous colour combinations?

Twickenham next week..a place I have spent many an hour at. Despite DH’s best attempts, I have absolutely no clue about what is going on during a game. They do have a Bollinger tent though so I’m good. I 😉

Craig’s take on pup art was great

I went to see The Cure play Hyde Park. As soon as you walked in there we’re stands for Jaguar Cars and pensions, and it was better value to buy chilled champagne than warm Heinken.

Worst episode ever - designing for dogs ffs.

That's just the kind of predictable double entendre I dislike from Alan Carr.

Looking at , keep expecting Morten Harket to walk in. It looks like it is out of the take on me video.

I thought the right person went as he pretty much ignored the brief. John's was a bit dull and impractical, but some nice ideas and thoughtful colours. I thought it would be him to go though. Briony's was a bit confused to me. Her signature style doesn't lend itself to Battersea dogs home. The wallpaper was nice.

Think Craig is looking likely as a winner now. I think retro design might be what John Lewis want too and I think he could bring something different for them.

I did sense a bit of flirting/chemistry too, but aren't they both married? Maybe the pop art sent them both woozy.

I’m surprised Bradley lasted this long tbh

I’ve just finished watching this week’s episode and I was shouting at the TV about both the rooms with live plants for this very reason! Literally not a single window in the place - all those plants will be dead in a week! Unless they expect the poor underpaid staff to pop them outside for a few hours every day. Totally impractical.

Yeah i thought that about the plants too. Would a mossy pile work better? Need to bring back the guy from last year who did the mossy hill in the gem and fossil shop. The different dogs would piss on it and the other dogs might have a 'sensory' experience then.

Most of the rooms were designed for humans first, some variety of dog as a secondary thought. All the pictures of trees and grass painted on walls would not be recognisable for dogs. I like pop art but the room was designed for humans more than dogs. Victoria’s was corporate but was probably the most suitable for transitioning dogs and I thought Rita’s wasn’t bad - the textures and smells of the plants were a good thing..

Bradley was overdue to go but I wonder how many of those rooms will be kept. Bearing in mind most strays/mongrels are at least 50% labrador and I’ve known young labradors and similar types chew skirting board off the walls I don’t imagine all that fancy art work will last long.

@C8H10N4O2 j agree most of the rooms catered to the humans although sue clearly was looking at each of them in terms of how a nervous dog would cope. I hated Bradley's room didn't love Craig's but the door was a good idea.

Next week is the classic hospitality space. So we can expect luxury to be embodied by shoddy paintwork; cheap furniture; and random light fittings. How delightful
