I couldn't see another thread but it looks like this starts on Thursday 10th April.

What will be the themes this year? Banquettets aplenty? Grumpy contestants coming on to the thread to tell us off for not being kind? Hideous colour combinations?

Who know what joys await us!

I was amazed last time I was in Germany to see an English program with bailiffs coming and taking peoples stuff as daytime tv.

I agree with this and am saying Rita or Holly but it depends who can evolve from their signature style the most. My money would be Rita if i absolutely had to choose.
Model lady might be a surprise contender she could go either way atm.
I think Craig is too try hard and adds way too much.

I can see Craig going really soon or staying on but not winning. He has a certain something but I think he's more limited than both Holly and especially Rita, but all it takes with them is one bad week and they're out.

I'm hoping scouse bloke leaves this week because he's nowhere near as talented as he thinks he is and should have gone based on MDF this week. I'm not sure if it was used by others but they might have explained that they were reusing and he was the only one who thought that it was in anyway green.

I was really disappointed in Rita’s tbh but can see that the judge likes her

I think the next room in the retirement place is a really good test because I would imagine they will all feel a bit more comfortable with it and that’s when you can test their creativity or whether they are too reliant on their signature style

@Bruisername Why do you think they'd be more comfortable with a retirement place? I'd have thought that most of the contestants would be more familiar with office spaces than with the tastes and needs of retired folk.

Because they will see it as a living space and will think about their own parents/grandparents

i think the impracticality of most of those offices showed that few had actually worked in one!

That’s why I thought the dressing room challenge was difficult last year. Trying to design for a space you have never had to use is really hard.

Someone asked who Craig looks like I’ve just rewatched with my daughter and she said Armond from the first season of White Lotus

Let’s hope he doesn’t find a nearby suitcase 😉😂

I think Craig has an unfortunate resting smug face. It looks like he thinks more highly of himself than he really does. At least I hope that's the case because if it's not resting smug face then he's nowhere near as talented as his smugness would indicate.

I almost felt like that about Banjo back in 2022 but I remember his first challenge just really impressing me, finding him both annoying and talented in almost equal measure and seeing that he really did have the sort of talent that is innate although that doesn't mean that working on it doesn't make it better. I like watching him doing stuff up on Mull and the surrounding areas. He's definitely a character and it's possible that his husband is a saint!

I watch for Grandpa tbh

@FagsMagsandBags im rewatching series 3 and i find Banjo unbearable. I know he has talent but he's smug and his stories about the client he's designing for are just annoying.

When Rita started talking about her client she reminded me of banjo!

I thought it was quite funny how much he looked like Eddie Izzard...

I miss Paul (can't remember which series) but he was hilarious. He was not particularly modest about his talents, but I wasn't quite sure if he was pissing about or genuinely thought the sun shone out of his butt.

I really didn't rate Banjos first room, but he did a very moody dark green hotel room iirc, then I quite liked him. It's hard to remember who the best contest is across the series as the best ones never seem to win.
