I'm glad to see I'm not the only one whose eyes were rolling at Sonia somehow having a passport for Julia and Vicky's family deciding on a whim to not go back to Australia. I was irritated enough by Bianca just leaving her youngest son (who's only 15 or 16?) in Milton Keynes!

I know, I know, it's not real 😄

I’m so pleased it had a happy ending and I won’t miss Sonia at all , but that ending made me shed a tear ! ( I know , I know alright lol 😆)
plus Dot’s voice at the beginning and seeing Rocky too
i I miss him and his humour. He was fab today
come back Rocky, we forgive you !
( where were they going to put the speed boat called something exit ? Did I miss that ?)
Is Sonia going to charge rent for her place ?
How come nobody leaves without having to do the boring things ( like rent agreements or travel insurance or car insurances or , well , anything normal ? lol)
I hope they are happy wherever they all end up.

@Maloryjones - Bear Behaving Badly - I knew I had seen Terry before. His acting is just the same.

That episode was a mess, but at least Sonia has finally left. She really didn’t know what Terry was like until he spelled out for her in letters a mile high, her judgment is so bad she is not safe to be let out alone.

Where was Julia, she certainly didn’t seem to be in the car (or boat!).

Lovely to see Rocky, I wish Brian Conley would return. He was a great character. Still pulling strings even while inside.

How are Lauren and Peter going to afford the rent on the house, neither of them seems to do a stroke of work.

I liked Yolande’s scenes with Avani. I am not sure where they will get with a complaint though.

Lauren doesn’t work ( she used to, but I haven’t seen her do much since she came back from France) and Peter helps to run the pie shop. The rent would be huge for that house so close to London / train station etc.
Sonia didn’t mention the rent rates , but even if it’s family rent / ‘mates rates ‘ charged , you still need to pay the other bills.
Maybe P has shares in the pie shop?
Either way, none of it is cheap yet they will probably be on it by Monday and rent / money wont be an issue
when is the new baby due?

Avani and Priya should go to the papers.
Nicola is just horrible .. poor Barney and Zac.

Felt sorry for Barney.
Glad the Jacksons left together.
Loving Nigel and Phil together.
Maybe Nigel and Jean should get together.
Yolande is on top form with Avani.

I thought Carol would return with Alan and take the Jackson girls home. I really hoped that they had reunited. Then Julia could attend Waterloo Road nursery in a few years time and the dramas could begin all over again.

Loved today’s ending! Though a bit concerned Julia might still be in the front room with the parrot.

What an evil cow Nicola is. Poor Barney.

Peter will tap Ian for the rent. Baby must be due in the next month or so.

I thought Lauren worked in the car lot with Jay?

Lauren spent ages looking for a job and I think she did get one, might have been the car lot? But we never see her working, she is always mooching about the square or babysitting for Sonia. I doubt Peter earns much.

I wonder who will take over Saint Martin's stall.

Peter ‘worked’ for Junior at one point but it was never clear what he did. It isn’t clear what Junior does day to day either, we occasionally saw him with his laptop open in the Vic. The storyline with him developing the land in Dartford where Harry’s ex is buried seems to have been dropped but the continuity on EE is a mess at the moment so no doubt that will reemerge again at some point.

Agree that Ian will help with the rent. He offered to pay for their wedding which was a shock!

Haven’t watched this weeks episodes yet but relieved to hear Sonia has finally gone.

Glad Sonia has gone, Julia was in a baby car seat with Bex. Bex quite happily buggered off and told no-one about Lily (her beloved little sister)
God love Bali when Bianca gets there.
I loved Peter thought she was just giving them the house. Are they just staying in their flat until.the Vic is rebuilt (which would take months if not longer in real life)
The whole Barney story just bores me. I really don't care at all about any of them, including Zac.
Good for Yolande sorting out Avani.

I read somewhere that today is exactly the one year anniversary of Clayton’s assault on Yolande which makes her scenes with Avani even more poignant.

Oh that’s correct! Lauren managed to get Jay to employ her because she helped her dad Max sell cars there once and has some business acumen. lol

I read that Jamie Borthwick ( Jay ) was in trouble over a ‘what’s app’ joke with someone from ‘strictly come dancing ‘ about a sex toy. The man who once did the ‘ go compare ‘ ads I think. I saw something online at the weekend and wondered if Jay has had a suspension ( as they do on EE sometimes!)
We haven’t seen him for a while and Lauren hasn’t been at the car lot in months either. I had forgotten she did find a job there tbh.

A year since Yolande ! Goodness , that’s gone by quickly.

Agree that the Barney / Zac / Nicola story is a tad contrived and bound to just become ‘ tit for tat ‘ as Zac threatens to tell him his the dad etc. Nicola will snarl on the sidelines and still do her drug dealing deals whilst pretending to be a hot shot night club owner.
My guess is that it’ll run on until around Christmas time and all come out over the Turkey lunch she’ll no doubt throw in a grand style.

Oh, yes, the Dartford story ramps up next week apparently and Nic asks Ravi to help her or something like that. She needs to try and stop them digging up Harry’s ex’s body whilst developing the land.
I bet they don’t find anything though !

These storylines are a complete mess. Kim hugging Sonia goodbye 24 hours after the murder house tour stuff 🤨

Sticking Sonia's dad in for a few episodes as part of Sonia's exit story was utter drivel. The whole storyline feels rushed and ill thought out. The only things I liked about that episode were: the mentions of Billie and Jamie; Dot voiceover at the start; Yolande supporting Avani; Rocky's cameo; the nod to Bianca not wanting Terry locked up in the garage for too long.

Seeing Rocky was a hit for me!
his jokes landed well and he looked great.

Loved Dot’s voice at the start of the episode. Apart from that I’ve never been so bored with Eastenders as I am atm. What is going on.

I understand the fact people are bored with it lately.
maybe once the new producer is fully established it might pick up a bit. It has been in a bit of a rut.
It needs to be more consistent.

I think you're right 80s, the problem is the changeover of producers, added to the 40th anniversary. Everything led up to that, there were some huge storylines, and then everything fizzled out. The upcoming 'big' storyline involves Teddy and Nicola and nobody is very interested in them! Sonia's exit was badly done, and everything else is just trundling along. And no more Bianca, I will miss her.

I agree I loved seeing Rocky, but it just reminded me of better times!

Did baby Julia have a passport?
