I never like these type of ‘disaster’ episodes because it is all so daft. People standing around pontificating, unable to climb over a post or break a window to get out. As if you would stand around having a chat about your love live like you’re Spencer Tracy and Katherine Hepburn before actually getting out of the collapsing pub. Martin if you’re dead, it’s your own fault.

At least Reiss is definitely dead. And not just EastEnders Dead.

I hope Cindy is a gonner.

But I really liked the Phil sections, especially his scenes with Linda. Let’s gloss over a mental health worker coming to visit him at the garage at ten minutes notice (or indeed at all). In reality paramedics would take him to A&E, he'd sit there for hours without seeing a psych, and then walk out.

Julia and Toni are very poor choices.

I hope tomorrow is better.

Oh good shout, that would give Cindy a plausible exit because she could then be arrested for shooting him or go on the run back to France.

I liked the names of Julia and Toni!
They always speak so glowingly about Julia in particular, she was well liked and the creator of this soap along with Tony Holland. I think it's nice. They already have a Dotty

Yes, I saw that but in the chaos and dark I wasn't sure if it was a black character or the lighting and dust, it was about the time we saw Sharon wasn't it?
Does anyone recall if Chelsea is safe? As far as I remember all the black characters got out but Patrick could have popped in or it could be Chelsea.

Great, well I really enjoyed tonight's episode and I was on tenterhooks in the last few minutes in that scene with Martin and Stacey. I don't think he'll die - there's too much mileage with another 'lifer' (Stacey). And as Chris Clenshaw is leaving, he won't want the reputation of killing off a legacy character.

The moment Angie appeared eclipsed Kathy's return from the dead in 2015 as the most shocking thing I've seen in 40 years of watching EE. Bravo to everyone involved for keeping this secret for weeks and to Anita Dobson for knocking it out of the park. She always was one of the best actors they've ever had and I felt emotional during her cameo tonight.

I'm sure Jack will magic up one of his flats for the knights to squish in to 😂

Not keen on Martin being killed off. He's a decent character and part of the square. Very few younger long time characters in it still. Only Jay and Lauren really.

The guy who plays Reiss has been good. I was really uneasy when he got angry and overwhelmed. I was a bit annoyed when they turned him into a murderer as i liked him as a comedy chatacter,but he's been allowed to do a bit more than that I guess. At least he can get a decent haircut now.

When they said about calling the police for Phil they don't generally do that now (services just stand there and argue about responsibility instead). It annoys me that they paint a picture of calling someone and help immediately arrives.

I'm a bit disappointed by a lack of 😯return. They usually wheel out a 'was dead, but not dead-dead' return for these occasions. Mick?

A crush injury that means he maybe bleeds out once the big beam (or whatever it was) is moved off his legs? I can't see him becoming paralysed from it (I don't think they'd add another character in a wheelchair), so he either dies or gets away with ridiculously ridiculous "cuts & bruises", which would clearly be ridiculously ridiculous stupid.

So I'm wondering if the 2nd vote will maybe involve a "who do you want to die/live?", involving Martin and someone else. And if it is martin then I think the other option might also be a long-termer.

But as I was writing that I realised that they wouldn't be sacking someone via public vote. So, yeah, that really isn't going to happen, is it?! Damn. Wonder what else if could be? Wonder what everyone thinks about the vote, any ideas, before the episode tomorrow? Shirley not the name of Sonia's baby, Julia vs Toni, that would be a really dull thing to vote on!

The second vote is just choosing Sonias baby name either julia or toni
