Which I guess is fair enough to stop any spoilers , but releasing photos on line have made people speculate etc

Oh no! I mean obviously the live one won’t be available 🤣 but the others not being dropped early is very annoying!

Phil was a terrific drunk too. When he would lay into everyone could be amusing at times. Although he has more skeletons than anyone in really !
I'm surprised they are ' going live ' again as it must be a headache and the actors get it wrong sometimes too!

The Michelle "Who's The Daddy" storyline where you see her phoning and three other characters are picking uo the phone at the same time .

Andy and Debbie , young couple who bought a flat , she was in banking , he was a nurse . So role reversal there in the eighties. They had a somewhat up/down relationship then he got run over .

Mary the Punk and little Annie , who wasn't hidden in the KiddieKupboard but dumped on whoever would babysit , usually Sue Osmon

Was it Den, Andy and Ali who was being called ? I remember all three land lines ringing at the same time for three men.

I don't think we did ! Maybe Mary had no idea either ?

There was another woman "Dita" black hair ,, who had some ugly scenes with her Dad coming back and a refernce to SA . Dot helped her out a lot .
Bearing in mind this was a 7.30pm timeslot , not too much detail.
Eastenders were not afraid to be gritty .

I vaguely remember Dita.
Watching the classic EE ones often throw up characters I've completely forgotten about !

I am sure Tony Carpenter ( Hatties Dad ) was one of the phone picker-uppers . We're all meant to think "Whoah , he's over twice her age"

The truth (Den) wasn't much more palatable ( twice her age , her best mates dad and Her Mum hated him )

Mehmet (Ali Osman's no good brother ) was my favourite Eastenders Bloke back then. .

Disa came back for Dot’s funeral a few years ago.

I was thinking how gritty it was then, unusually for soaps, breaking taboos. No other soap had prostitutes as characters - sex workers we call them now. Mary, Disa, Pat and one of Mary’s friends. Edited to say I’ve made a similar point that @the80sweregreat said earlier.

I was 5 when it started I think I started watching it about 10. Just trying to remember the first big storyline I watched. When did dirty den get shot?

He was shot in early 1989 @catin8oots

Mentioned in EE threads several times in the past so I realise I'm not saying anything new, but the Michelle and Dirty Den one night stand story would never get written these days, let alone broadcast. I was only a child back then (but allowed to watch as my parents were pretty useless) but I don't recall any controversy about this. The media attention was all about 'whodunnit', which looking back was wrong ( I know it was a different time!).

I remember Disa, think Diane Butcher became friends with her after they’d both run away from home?
Mary also came back for Dot’s funeral, as well as Lofty.

There was also the storyline in the early years about Donna who turned out to be Kathy’s daughter who she’d put up for adoption after being raped as a teenager.

I've got the sun tv mag and it states on Tuesdays episode "a shocking return changes everything". I can't work out if this is Reiss returning or another cameo type appearance.
It's interesting to have Stacey mentioned as the death. I really hope its not her as it would be awful for all those kids in the cupboard. Joking aside she's a much loved character and would be a shame for her to die.
I don't think Sonia dies as Sonia is going to give birth in the live episode, which I think they did in a previous live episode.

I've seen a spoiler (can't remember where) that said Bianca confronts Reiss on the Square so that could well be on Tuesday. And presumably it is him who 'changes everything' by driving his car into the Vic.

Shocking return changes everything ...

We will find out who Cindy's attacker was this week ?

My money is on Bobby being the returner and the attacker .

I'm thinking Cindy jr is who's returning on Tuesday.

And Ian can smirk and say to Cindy "Oh , you can give your daughter the diamond bracelet you bought her for Christmas " because now he knows about Cindy and Junior and has probably guessed that the bracelet was from him.
But no harm in making her sweat eh?

I just can't see the shocking return being Reiss. We all know Reiss is coming back and he has hardly left so it's not really a return.
This is sometimes the problem when they try to create drama by wording things to entice viewers, they then don't follow through with the goods. A shocking return for me would be someone who left a while ago and there's been no leaks of their return. They have done a few shock returns recently, let's hope Tuesdays really is a shock return.

I don't think Cindy Jr. would be a shock return. She's barely been in the programme and wasn't a bug character imo. Bobby, on the other hand, as Cindy's attacker would be huge.

Why would Bobby want to kill Cindy? Since he got out of jail he's been just about the most peaceable person on the Square.

So he returns to the Square late at night to kill Cindy but brings no weapon, he conveniently happens to spot Cindy standing alone, and look there's a shovel nearby - I'll thwack her and disappear. Why? 🤷‍♀️

@Shellingbynight I agree, actually, but that is one of the big rumours online. She was a complete bitch to him since they came back from France
