Yes, Alex, Leon, Anna and to a lesser extent Lisa. None of them seem to have had much airtime, it is odd.

They focus on the ones who are under suspicion and those accusing. I think Alex, Leon etc will fly under the radar this week and we will see more of them next week. Francesca I'd like to see more of too, she seems quietly confident, sussing everyone out. Also her Instagram is stunning!

Lentilweaver · 09/01/2025 00:43

I think a sense of humour, fun and just plain likeability is definitely missing this year. Last year we had Paul hamming it up, Diane and Ross with their brilliant quips, Jaz looking and being intelligent, the very likeable Miles... ( probably some others I have forgotten too)
This year, 4 men who look and behave exactly the same. Cmon Minah, time to murder one of them.

halfpastten · 09/01/2025 00:50

Anyone who stands out by being nice, interesting or intelligent gets murdered or banished. So we are left with bland. Definitely not up to the standard of previous series. If it doesn't pick up soon I'll be banishing them all.

Alliscalmallisnotbright · 09/01/2025 00:55

I was so sad when Kasim was heading off to eat his dinner alone that I had a wee cry. Such a dignified exit too from him.
I am not sure I really like any of the characters left but I cannot warm to one single male character remaining.

I cried when he was at the round table and Fozia supported him when he said he’d been through it 4 times which makes you want to give up.

I feel like there must be another secret in there. It can't just be Welsh accent lady.

There’s the ex-soldier and priest both keeping their job / previous job quiet. But agree, not brilliant secrets.

Since it started I've felt (&said) that I think there's another family connection in there - my first option thought was H&Wife option but tonight I did wonder about Francesca - Mum to someone ?

The Metro ( paper) think it’s The vicar Lisa and Alex

BeaLola · 09/01/2025 01:26

I told DH tonight that I would banish Anna purely based on the awful scrunchie she was wearing

Anabellie · 09/01/2025 01:26

Is Tyler Peter Kaye’s love child? 😊

I agree

I think this will be the last series.

The gameplay itself is far too personal now and to be honest the vitriol being put on social media about members of the cast is absolutely disgusting. A good number of them will regret going on this show i think.

This is why we can't have nice things

No way, it's too popular. But I do think they need to implement unconscious bias training regards race.

Oh it's Joe that I really don't like, and he's a teacher!

I suspect his classes are carnage as do my students - he’s awful!

LuckysDadsHat · 09/01/2025 07:11

I'm not as obsessed with this series. There is just something missing from it. I think it is the characters from the previous 2 that I'm missing. They all just seem bland, emotional and urgghhh.

BIossomtoes · 09/01/2025 07:30

The petulance at Kaz’s witty exit last night was really unpleasant. What exactly did they expect after being so nasty to him? Joe next, he’s a nasty piece of work.

GrammarTeacher · 09/01/2025 07:34

I really can’t imagine how he can be successful in a classroom again. Not only due to getting it so wrong so confidently but the petulant, immature way he responded after they left the round table was something to behold. No self-awareness or reflection.

APushbikeNamedReluctance · 09/01/2025 07:38

I'm loving it. But then I wasn't as wild about Diane and Ross as many other people seem to be. Didn't get the obesssion - diane is no icon to me!!!

I think though there's too many people not being shown. There's no obvious loud and proud 'alpha' male that viewers adore (for reasons I've never understood!!) Armarni was in that role and generally people dislike a loud and confident female. It's a real shame none of the Analog Trio (as in Doe, Jan and Jake) are under suspicion. I'd hate to see any of them near the final. love to see them turn on each other early though - which might be starting 🤞

Don't have twitter- and you can now longer even look at it without an account. Who's being put down? I dread to think!!

ThePoshUns · 09/01/2025 07:50

TokyoSushi · 08/01/2025 23:16

There's a really unpleasant vibe this series, much more than there has been in the past. It stems largely from Jake & Dan but others are easily led/drawn into it. Quite a lot of them also aren't very bright and feel threatened by and turn against those they perceive to be 'clever' like Kas.

I wonder if Dan is from the Wirral, I'm from there originally and a lot of people there have a very similar accent.

Yes not a nice vibe, fuelled by the mediocre white men in there. I like that the traitors are women because it's putting the men in a spin but bringing the worst out of them.
Not keen on Livi either as she runs with the blokes as well.
Favourites so far are Minah, Leanne and Fozia

CaveMum · 08/01/2025 23:23

I think there’s a connection between Vicar and Freddie - he kissed her on the cheek as a greeting when she was sitting in one of the armchairs early in the episode and I just can’t see a 20yo lad doing that with a random older lady he met a few days ago. I’ve not seen him do that with any of the other women either. He also kept quietly glancing at her, or at least that is what the editing showed.

Yes I noticed that as well

pandaface680 · 08/01/2025 22:43

I was glad Kas went tonight. I really liked him and it was uncomfortable seeing him ostracised like that. I think if he hadn't there'd be a good chance he would have been recruited and then banished and they'd all be patting themselves on the back thinking they were right all along. He got the last laugh this way.

His exit speech was superb, building up Joe then making him look like an idiot, which he deserved.
Loved it!

I also felt very uncomfortable when Kas described feeling ostracised.
I guess he's made of strong stuff...not so sure about Freddie.

I presume they have some sort of mental health screening before they're accepted onto the show?

lol! Yes 🤣

herpastcanchangethefuture · 09/01/2025 07:58

I agree there is something missing this year. It’s a shame Jack didn’t get in because at least he seemed like he would be entertaining.

Minah is brilliant but to me she’s the only interesting one in there. Linda is useless. Fozia could be good though.

if anyone is related my money is on Alex and Charlotte.

Pumpkincozynights · 09/01/2025 08:04

They definitely get rid of the intelligent ones first. There was that guy last time and he had been on Only Connect, was it Jason? He had started to form a logical plan, next thing boom- gone. Too risky to keep intelligent people in.
It’s like The Weakest Link Ann Robinson used to host, every single time the cleverest person hlgot voted off. It stands to reason, you don’t want to be up against your strongest competitor.
There is also herd mentality. This goes to show most people can be manipulated quite easily. Also anyone who doesn’t go along with the group think, is questioned and suspicion cast upon them.
It’s quite disturbing that people such as Tyler can be part of a jury.
The logic of ‘If Armani is a traitor then Kas must be a traitor too,’ is mind blowing. Yet these people are allowed to vote and decide who is guilty or innocent of crimes.
Kas, intelligent and using logic, stated he did not know who the traitors were. That is correct. It is guess work. Yet the thicker contestants jump on that as being traitor like thinking.

BishyBarnyBee · 09/01/2025 08:06

arrigatto · 09/01/2025 06:17

No way, it's too popular. But I do think they need to implement unconscious bias training regards race.

There's no way the BBC would get rid of a huge hit just because you (Tricho) don't like the way the series is going. They might tweak it, the three female traitors this time was a direst response to Claudia highlighting the boys club vibe last time.

It's quite a complex dynamic, because only one of the traitors is white, but they have killed more black traitors. And sometimes people are punished for their personality more than their race. But racial stereotyping will also play into it.

I started doing a list of who's gone and then felt quite uncomfortable trying to racially categorise everyone. But I think Elen may be the only white British person to go out of the first 7, though of course Jack did lose the popularity contest yesterday. Yin and Kassim going for being "too clever" is not just about race, though stereotyping might play into it. And watching Kas be isolated would be unbearably painful for anyone who's experienced being othered and isolated.

At this point, there is definitely an advantage in being a young, white British contestant and staying under the radar.

Stowickthevast · 09/01/2025 08:10

I agree with @ThePoshUns that the traitors all being women make the men more like headless chickens, no strong man who knows what's going on.

Interestingly on Kas' Insta he's posted a picture of himself and Joe and said that Joe & Jake have given him a lot of support in the real world despite leading the charge against him, so he's obviously trying to counter the vitriol. Just confirms what a nice guy he is.

I really liked Fozia last night coming in and just being really sensible and defusing the situation. I have hopes that Alexander can do the same.

Jake & Alex both got quite a bit of screen time last week. Alex was talking a lot about Armani in ep 2 and then Jake ranting about the boat and arguing with Dan in ep 3.

But I do agree with others that they need to murder one of the white men, preferably annoying Joe.

Stowickthevast · 09/01/2025 08:11

@BishyBarnyBee I think Nathan is white too?
