Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

I don't care who it is but I hope Cindy's not dead. I really wanted her to leave a couple of months ago but she brings flavour to the show.

Foxlover46 · 26/12/2024 02:34

@the80sweregreat I was definitely thinking D was a very lucky thing ha ha

the80sweregreat · 26/12/2024 05:31

Whoever hit her wasn't subtle about it!
I admit that I didn't see this coming at all
Not seen any spoilers for the final scenes anywhere online either. Maybe missed them , but I was surprised by that ending
( although someone on one of the threads mentioned how many people she has pissed off and might be a death ?)

Bunionbabe · 26/12/2024 05:59

I'm surprised Elaine threw George out, she had the chance to tell him herself when she heard the tape which would have avoided the pub showdown. The worst aspect of it really is the fact that Cindy slept with the son of her ex husband as a substitute sex object. I suppose she was sort of Junior's step mother on paper. It's very Freudian. I thought Cindy looked much older tonight, too much face gloss and harsh red lipstick.

Southeastdweller · 26/12/2024 06:17

There were no spoilers anywhere about what was going to happen to Cindy and none about whether she survives in today’s episode. I guess we find out tonight at 8.30. If she’s dead I really hope they don’t do a whodunnit story that lasts months and months.

I am thinking Anna or Gina with the shovel

Was also loving Lauren last night. She did what she had to do to show up Cindy so I am definitely on team Lauren

YellowPixie · 26/12/2024 08:43

My first thought was that the snow shovel is just plastic, we have one very similar. And it might give you a crack on the head but it's not what i'd choose as a murder weapon.

Viewer23 · 26/12/2024 09:04

I don’t think Cindy will die, I think she will survive the attack. She is so manipulative though, she will say anything to get out of trouble! Poor Ian has only just realised that she was only ever using him for security but perhaps this is his payback for how badly he treated all his previous wives and how stingy and money conscious he’s always been. Although his character has mellowed and become generally kinder to people in recent times so it is pretty sad.

I am not sure it’s fair to say Lauren was driven by spite, I think she was cornered as really nobody believed her and she was being edged out of the family. Cindy treated her terribly and she was even losing Louie who she had brought up all these years. It was very rich of Peter to call her toxic after all the things he had done. I think he’s too much of a mummy’s boy.

I also think Elaine is being very unreasonable and needs to deal with her own insecurities. It’s unrealistic for her to think George would have no feelings for Rose/Cindy, but even if he didn’t, it is very unrealistic for her to not expect him to feel betrayed and angry by the information of his ex wife sleeping with his son and pretending it was him in her head, it’s messed up on so many levels and it’s very natural for him to feel upset with both of them - upset with Junior because it shows how much resentment he holds towards him and upset with Cindy because that’s just disgusting and shows how much she objectifies people, including him. George was at the centre of the whole tape, why wouldn’t he be angry? But Elaine is too self absorbed to see things from other people’s perspectives.

Eastie77Returns · 26/12/2024 09:06

Why did Cindy go to the tube station. She's a life long Londoner but still doesn't know the underground doesn't run on Christmas day?! And she booked a cab to Kings Cross station but there wouldn't be any trains running from there in the middle of the night either. Sorry but the details do bother me lol.

I really can't see a man hitting Cindy with a shovel and definetly not Ian or Peter. Saying that, I did wonder if it was Kojo. They do love child killers on EE so maybe it will be Louie!

I felt so sorry for Elaine when George screamed at Junior for "taking what's mine" (nice bit of mysogny there) and called Cindy his wife. Honestly though, George and Elaine do not work as a couple at all and I did chuckle when Cindy mocked her for clinging onto him with her old withered hand.

Ian smashing up the front room was 100% a nod to his uncle Arthur doing the same....almost 40 years ago, blimey!

Eastie77Returns · 26/12/2024 09:08

Oh and I predicted in the last thread Cindy would be attacked in an Xmas whodunnit so am patting myself on the back (no-one else in my household watches EE so this is all lost on them!)

Meredusoleil · 26/12/2024 10:00

There were a lot of people that referred to Cindy being dead during last night's episode. Many comments like nobody would care if you were alive or dead kind of thing. I think at least 3 people said it.

Also think George's reaction was rather OTT but Elaine's was much worse and disproportionate. Why were Anna and Gina upset with him? He hadn't really done anything in the latest debacle apart from rant about Cindy being his still?

Southeastdweller · 26/12/2024 10:05

It didn’t ring true that Elaine would end her marriage after just one month even though she’s insecure. But maybe Colin Salmon is leaving.

I was also sceptical about Cindy turning on her kids.

the80sweregreat · 26/12/2024 10:11

I'll have to watch it again, but George calling Cindy his wife was the final straw for a woman who was always second best to the men in her life. Maybe she just couldn't deal with that anymore ?
George part owns that pub , so he won't be too easy to get shot of plus she has most of his family living there too!!
I bet that once they discover Cindy , she'll forgive him anyway. She isn't as hard nosed as she likes to make out at times even if she was properly riled last night

Meredusoleil · 26/12/2024 10:13

So it was like a foreboding that she would potentially die that night, is what I was trying to get at!

the80sweregreat · 26/12/2024 10:14

Junior really did love Cindy though.
She does have the magic spell of making men fall for her
Nice to hear Sinead o Connor singing at the end too. Loved her voice

But not sure what the writers can do for her now.

Ficklemind · 26/12/2024 10:17

I heard Christmas Day is the one day when there's no London trains or buses running at all?
Elaine's black, diving brick boots yes!😂
I think it's Junior with the snow shovel, he must be very hurt, he loved Cindy and has now lost everything so could leave the show.

the80sweregreat · 26/12/2024 10:22

There is mileage in a Cindy / Rose George mash up though !
She may want to wreck revenge on all of them
and G has all but admitted that he still has feelings for her.
Elaine v Cindy in court fighting over the pub.
Many people have ended up in fights over that old boozer

Viewer23 · 26/12/2024 10:25

Junior also had it coming given how he treated Monique! They are all so self indulgent.

Southeastdweller · 26/12/2024 10:28

I don’t think George loves Cindy the way she wants him to and I just can’t see any long term future now for Cindy in the square. She’s lost everything.

I'm not sure south
He was playing the ' kiss from a rose ' song before he found her again ( or it was on in the background) and a small flash back to her leaving.
He was heartbroken when she didn't come home for nine years and been hiding his feelings for her most of the year.
I think that any kind of reconciliation wouldn't be too hard for him to resist tbh. She is manipulative and she truly loves him too
Saying all this , she is probably toast ! Who knows ? lol

lazymum99 · 26/12/2024 11:03

When I saw Lauren with the pills at the end I immediately thought she would overdose. But no one else on the thread has commented.
It is common to overdose if you start using again while on methadone. An addict often misjudges the dose and takes what they used to be able to handle.
I actually felt sorry for Cindy wandering around with no bag, no money, no friends or family and just some bits that Ian slung in her pull along! It made me very uncomfortable at how insecure that just feel.

JadeSeahorse · 26/12/2024 11:05

I may be bonkers but I think the shovel shaker could be Anna.

It's usually someone totally unexpected and whoever did it I doubt wanted to kill Cindy otherwise - as a pp stated - something far heavier/sharper would have been used.

Anna is such a sweetie but she would have been completed devastated by last night's revelations and especially as she was the one person who convinced everyone initially to give Cindy a chance.

the80sweregreat · 26/12/2024 11:08

Maybe it's Lauren who dies ?
We didn't think it would be Keanu last year and that was a shock !
Plus you'd do everything in your power to stop the drugs once you knew you were pregnant too. I can't believe she isn't getting better professional advice and not from that bored nurse she saw the other week or the GP who dismissed her too

Louisetheroux · 26/12/2024 11:09

I doubt it was Kojo...can you imagine the backlash if the writers portrayed an autistic character doing that.
