I think George has got the measure of Cindy, he does have love in his heart for her but he knows how manipulative and destructive she is so I would be surprised if he got back together with her because she is essentially a user and he knows it.
I agree with @JadeSeahorse that it could be Anna, she brought Cindy back. Although she might sympathise with Cindy with the cheating on Ian since she went through similar with Bobby and Freddy!

I doubt it was Kojo...can you imagine the backlash if the writers portrayed an autistic character doing that.

I was just thinking that - the producers won't want to go there.

I think it's either Junior or Gina - someone expendable. I know EE do personality transplants a lot, but it would take ridiculous to another level if it was Anna.

Enjoyed yesterday's episodes so much I've just watched them again.

  1. I think Cindy could have gone to Kings Cross and got a room in the travel lodge there. But why Kings Cross? You can only get a train north from there. Where is she going?
  2. where is Tommy? I thought he was living with Zac but he left to go and see Whitney.
  3. I think it could be Junior who killed Cindy.

Did Ian say to Cindy that the fur coat was real ?
She kept doing the elaborate wrapping it round herself and burying her face in the fur thing .

Ian has always always been an utter arse
Right from the start when he bought a Jeep (Pete the Original had a minty old van which wasn't anything to look at but got him to the fruit/veg wholesalers )

Ian was married /engaged to the best looking women in the Square - Cindy , Mel, Dee, Mandy, Jane , Laura
He had a fling with a client he was catering for and slept with Janine when she was a Sex Worker . Clare who was Nigels step daughter
He's always wanted the best house
The business deals ( he was involved in a new development on an old school site , Money Lending , his chips shop , Beales Market , -like a £Shop , the Cafe , )
Steven went to Private School
Inviting Nish and Suki for dinner to impress them and get a deal from them,

He has always been a nasty little social climber but unfortunately Cindy has always been his blind spot

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 26/12/2024 11:57

I wondered about the shovel too the main part is plastic but they might've whapped her with the handle ?

Kings Cross is right next to St Pancras so she could’ve been planning on getting a Eurostar to France I suppose.

Not sure who Tommy has been left with but he looked to be enjoying Christmas with the family at Stacey’s.

Just came on to say exactly this: Kings Cross is adjacent to St. Pancras Station which is where the Eursotar departs from. She was probably wanting to get away to France again?

Also, didn't spot Tommy at all in yesterdays' episodes!

What would Cindy have left in France though? I’m sure it was a rental and she and Ian had their business there. Spain would be the most likely option for her to go to.

WinterBones · 26/12/2024 12:07

I think Gina was so upset because they love Elaine, and George just threw a bomb in the middle of their lives too. Remember, Gina was always the most angry with 'Rose' for leaving, and i don't think she's ever been 100% sold on forgiving her since she turned back up.. i think there has always been a simmering anger under there, especially seeing what cindys reappearance has done to her dad in the past year.

What just happened has put her and Anna in limbo, i don't think Elaine would throw Anna out for a moment, but its broke all the adults in their lives and their new, very fragile relationship with Junior who Gina currently lives with.

I thought of the Eurostar, but then she'd have booked the taxi to st. Pancras and not Kings Cross?

Possibly. But maybe more accommodation at King's Cross as there wouldn't be any Eurostar trains on Christmas Day I don't think?

Correct. No Eurostar trains on Christmas Day.

Tommy was at the Slater’s. I am sure Kat said thank you to him for a present

I don't think this would stop them sadly. They often get these things very, very wrong. I'm not sure they've really portrayed autism well yet, even with an autistic actor. TV tends to very much gloss over the battles you have to get basic care and education, and the true extent of having an autistic child and the impact this has, which is frustrating.

I only watched the first episode yesterday, so this is interesting reading all of this. I hope she isn't dead. I don't really like Cindy as a character, but it would be ridiculous to bring her back and then kill her off so quickly.

Porcelainpig · 26/12/2024 13:16

I thought it could be the crime family that were originally after Cindy, or Cindy Jr. That would be a twist.

the80sweregreat · 26/12/2024 13:18

Might be ' the fosters ' ! Although it would be another huge coincidence considering Cindy has been back for a while now

the80sweregreat · 26/12/2024 13:22

Re the trains
Cindy has been distracted hugely and didn't know that they don't run on Christmas Day !
Maybe she was going to catch the Eurostar on Friday or something like that/ weekend trains must be running ? I'd be booking up hotels myself , must be loads in London with spaces available even this time of year ! She could put it on expenses

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 26/12/2024 13:37

Too much hassle to bring them back I think. I’m sure when Cindy returned to the square and saw a detective or someone re the Fosters, it was fairly quickly glossed over and Cindy was able to start over with Ian again.

the80sweregreat · 26/12/2024 13:38

I Hope Johnny takes Olllie and Annie out of that environment and maybe rents a place from Jack it's not good for such little ones there now especially as Linda is away too.
Anna and Kojo also need some space
Maybe they will live with Junior now ? Although he might not have the space. George could live with Phil ?
What a mess it all is though

TortolaParadise · 26/12/2024 14:11

LetThereBeLove · 26/12/2024 10:17

But not sure what the writers can do for her now.

Bring back David French! That spark will always be there.

the80sweregreat · 26/12/2024 14:12

David wicks being back for Cindy would be good
I hope that one couple is happy next year
As it stands, none of them are in any kind of stable normal relationship are they !

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 26/12/2024 14:58

Jack giving Dee those (quite horrible) earrings then Ravi saying "Oh I saw those on the market )
Maybe JackandJack did actually go to a jewellers and hand over his hard earned cash . And maybe Ravi is negging her ?

Shellingbynight · 26/12/2024 15:05

I only just watched last night’s second episode - brilliant. So well done and I did feel sorry for Ian.

Who hit Cindy… they were all pretty hyped up, but probably Lauren. Although Kathy is a good call too. I don’t think she’s dead. There would be a lot more mileage in her surviving and then getting together with George again. The drama!

I’m glad Peter re-dumped Lauren, she was looking so smug while they were all fighting. You would think she’d have learned from her meddling last time.

I understood why Elaine chucked George out. George firstly said that Junior ‘took what’s mine’ (no George, she isn’t) and then referred to Cindy as ‘my wife’. It confirmed what we all knew and Elaine suspected.

I loved Cindy’s meltdown before she left the pub. Michelle Collins is very good as Cindy.

(Cindy had booked a rental near Nice from 1st January for her and Ian so I guess she was intending to head over there.)

Eastie77Returns · 26/12/2024 15:19

Ah I forgot about the rental in Nice. And in true EE style she was headed there with a half empty suitcase into which Ian had thrown a few random items of clothing. Everyone travels light on the square. I noticed the other day Zack set off to Whitney’s with what literally looked like a school satchel. No space for Dolly’s presents then😂

With all this drama I also forgot about Dee and Ravi. Kissing in the middle of the square for anyone to see of course. I think sadly it’s a red herring and she is going to end up back with Jack and Jack😩

Very unrealistic that Martin fell into such a deep sleep in the 60 seconds it took for Stacey to go into the kitchen and come back. I reckon he was faking and heard everything she said.

How will they explain away Stacey being on mat leave again? Not prison and meeting another Eve again?! The Stacey/Martin/Ruby love triangle really irritates me.

@Shellingbynight good recall on the Nice rental. I’ve just remembered that too.
