The whole fire story was badly executed and made little sense. It was a ' bolt on' so that she could confess to the drug taking and have everyone turn against her , made up on the back of a fag packet and not much money for effects or the obligatory fire engine screaming round the bend.

The evil one is dead and she needs to move on now or go for some counseling or something like this. Nobody cares now

He is gorgeous and Dee should take full advantage of this .. especially now Jack Jack is history ( sort of)

Watched some old Eastenders ( Christmas ones) today and Sonia was such a cow back then
Her and Martin did deserve each other

Imagine though having Pauline as your MIL !
She was so very against Martin and Sonia getting married and very scathing that Sonia might want to have a career of her own . Sonia's nursing career didn;t even take her out of Walford - she worked in the Famous Walford General then the Panesaar Family Practice ( what will those poor patients be doing now ? Even when Sonia was in the Square she was never in the Surgery , just floated about with the too-short skirt and her acrylic nails , dispensing advice but not in the clinic )

One of Pauline Fowlers favourite lines was to say sweetly Can I ask you something
And when the other person said "Yes" she'd growl What the hell has this got to do with you ?

And anyone she disapproved of she called by their full name prefixed by that

Goodness knows what she'd think of "That Nichola Mitchell" or "That Penny Branning"

I have completely lost interest in Sonia, I've even lost interest in Bianca, the storylines have completely gone cold. I can't think of any storylines I'm enjoying at the moment.😐

Yes, even the big Cindy and Junior reveal isn't that exciting.

I’m slightly engaged with the Suki and Eve wedding story. I think Eve will be killed by Nish on New Year’s Day.

I've even lost interest in Nish, it has been so drawn out and unrealistic. He'll be dead in the next week or two, he must be hanging on by a thread.

Heather only took the role because it was agreed Eve will never be killed off. I can't find the original story from when she joined, but it was repeated in the Express two years ago.

Nish's heavy eyed , slack jawed Death Face is getting on my wick .
I know I'm meant to have sympathy as he's been cut down in his prime ......but he is putting it on a bit to try and get his family to pity him.

We watched four on Thursday afternoon , (the Thurs one was on iPlayer ) it finished with Elaine and the recirding (Duff Duff)

I love spoilers and enjoy this thread and reading them , but maybe I overdo it and then absolutely nothing is a surprise anymore !
Plus after nearly 40 years of twists and turns , I've worked out it is all a variation of a theme at Christmas, betrayal and things being smashed up and nobody really having a normal boring time of it. The square at Christmas is best avoided really !

Eve is one of the dullest and one dimensional characters I’ve ever seen.

Eve was fiery and complex for the first year or so but has gone beige recently.

I've never bought into the whole Suki and Eve pairing up tbh.
She seemed better suited to the other lady ( the widow of the one who Nish killed )
I can't rem her name.

After nearly 40 years of watching EE I've only just realized that Mark , Michelle and Martin Fowler all had names beginning with M! It must be an east end thing as I know a few families who did similar.
The Christmas ones on line are fascinating, trying to remember what the plots were leading up to them smashing up the place and how young they all look too.
It's been fun watching them again

I know a couple of families with the same letter as first name for their children , one of them had 5 kids !

It's handy for labelling school uniform though, Pauline would sew "M.Fowler" into everything and any lost property would get back to them.

My DC were 2 years apart , my DS was a notorious loser-of-things . A couple of years after he left Secondary , one of the teachers said to my DD "Oh this is your brothers apron (for DT) , does your Mum want it back"?
She didn;t have the same initial (and they didn;t sort out the Lost Property very often ! )

I agree Eve has gone beige. She was interesting in the early days. The most interesting thing about her was the tension over how she'd end up with Suki. She needs more interaction with Stacey's lot, although Stacey will shortly be disappearing.

I wonder if Phil will try and commit suicide on Christmas day and that is why it's on so late ?
Or Nish will be killed by Eve or something like that ?

Peter rescued Bobby from the caff fire that Rocky planned for insurance fraud.

80s I think Christmas Day is mainly the Cindy reveal isn't it? But you could also be right about Phil, they seem to be indicating a despair spiral.

I think the Nish showdown is NYD. Nish seems to be on a continual killing spree, nothing unusual there!

Even the Boxing Day episode won't be dropped early which is a shame as I like watching EE in the mornings.
